Okay, so Teri knows she sucked. Paul, on the other hand, knows the song. He's got 15.

After Round 3

Teri: 5
Paul: 15

KARAOKE CHALLENGE (2 points per word)

First up is Kiana. She needs eight to stay in the game.

- 2006, Toby Keith, "Get Drunk and Be Somebody"

The good news is that Teri was alive when this song came out. The even better news is that she IS somebody with a sweep for 30 points, giving her 35 and the lead.

Big Paul needs three to move into second and 10 to take the lead.

- 2000, 3 Doors Down, "Kryptonite"

Paul rocked it out for... 10! That's a tie for the lead with 35!

Kiana needs eight to move on.

- 2005, Keith Anderson, "Pickin' Wildflowers"

Does 13 do anything for ya? She's up to 46.

Mindi needs to beat 35 to go to the next round. Eight words will do it.

- 2005, Brad Paisley, "Alcohol"

Break out the bottles, because Mindi ran the board on that! She's got the third 50 in the series! She and Kiana move on to..

CHORUS SHOWDOWN

Mindi will have the honor on the first song, a 1998 ditty from Alabama. Mindi will... PLAY.

- 1998, Alabama, "Song of the South"

Mindi: "Song, song of the south / Sweet potato pie and I shut my mouth / Gone, gone with the wind / Ain't nobody looking back again." It's "There ain't nobody..."

Kiana just got the floodgates handed to her. She nails this, she wins.

- 1980, George Jones, "He Stopped Loving Her Today"

Kiana: "He stopped loving her today / He placed a wreath upon his door..." That's "They". Mindi's still alive...

Next song is...

- 2006, Taylor Swift, "Teardrops on My Guitar"

Mindi: "He's the reason for the teardrops on my guitar / The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star / He's the song in the car / keeps singing don't know why I do". You forgot the "I" at the start.

Crucial song coming. Kiana gets this, she wins. If not, we go to a tiebreaker.

- 1991, Reba MacEntire, "The Night The Lights Went Out in Georgia"

Kiana: "That's the night the lights went out in Georgia / That's the night that they hung an innocent man / Don't trust your soul to no back woods southern lawyer / The judge in the town's got bloodstains on his hand." TIEBREAKER! She forgot "'Cos".

The one-song sudden death ... 2005... Little Big Town. That's Kiana. "I'm gonna pass." Oooh... The song is... "Boondocks".

BAND: I can hear that / lullaby of the midnight train / And it sings to me and sounds familiar / I feel no shame
I'm proud of where I came from / I was born and raised in the boondocks / One thing I know no matter where I go...
Mindi: "I keep my heart and soul in the boondocks." WINNER!

So Mindi had a perfect score. Can she keep it going when it's for money? All she has to do is complete five songs correctly. Each one is worth $500 cash. Five is worth $10,000. BUT, miss one and get a strike. Miss three... and the game is over. But you do get to take home any cash you win, so no excuse not to go for it. It's time to play... THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!

Song #1: This one's for the girls / who've ever had a broken heart / who've wished upon a shooting star...

Mindi: "You're beautiful the way you are" That's good!

Song #3: And you know it might not be that bad / You were the best I'd ever had / If I hadn't blown the whole thing years ago / I might not be alone / Tomorrow we can drive around this town...

(1992, Gin Blossoms, "Hey Jealousy")

$2000
Song #5: Where you going? / Maybe I can help you / My tank is full / and I’d be obliged to take you / 'Cause I’m a country boy...

Mindi: "I'm a country boy, I've got..." Close, it's "I’ve got a four-wheel drive." Shake it off...

(2008, Alan Jackson, "Country Boy")

$2000 X
Song #5: There's no need to complicate / Our time is short / This is our fate...."

Mindi: "I'm yours." SO IS $10,000!
(2008, Jason Mraz, "I'm Yours")

$10,000 X

Mindi takes the title, the trophy, the cash money, and the bragging rights. We'll see if we can do it again next week. Play us out, Steve.
