So you want to play some J!, but you're not yet the 18-year-old that is required to do so? NO PROBLEM! That's where the Teen Tournament comes in.

Teenagers from across the country have tried out by the boatload by taking "The Test" online at Jeopardy.com. Now the best 15 of them have come together at the Sony stages in Los Angeles to compete for $75,000 and the right to be called this season's Teen Champion. Second place gets $25,000. Third gets $15,000. Semifinalists who make it to week 2 will receive $10,000. All of this week's players will receive $5000. All money will be determined, as always, by how far the players go in the tournament.

This is a standard two-week affair, meaning that all 15 will play this week, with the five game winners joining the four highest-scoring non-winners in a win-or-go-home race to the two-day final.

So far, Anurag Kashyap, Bradley Silverman, and Karan Takhar have a return ticket to play again. In half an hour's time, three people, two guaranteed wild cards and today's winner, will join them.

Jeopardy! round has these six...

EEEUW...GROSS! SPORTS TEAM HOMES WHICH TIME ZONE? TRANSPORTATION ALL YOU NEED IS GOV. YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT

Daily Double: $800 You Can Quote Me On That. Haley has only $800 to Sarah's $1400 and Jay's $2600. "Let's make it a true Daily Double." The clue for double or nothing... This author concluded a famous novel with the line "After all, tomorrow is another day." "Who is Ernest Hemingway?" No, it was Margaret Mitchell, as Haley drops to zero at the break.

At the end of the Jeopardy! round...

$1,600 $2,600 $6,200
Haley Sarah Jay

Double Jeopardy! categories:

FLAGS AN HOUR OF TV NONFICTION DIMENSIONS ART ABBREV.

Daily Double #1: $1200 Nonfiction. Sarah's $4600 puts her ahead of Haley's $1600, but behind Jay's $6600. She wagers $1000 on this: this book that tackled the topic of football in a Texas town inspired a film & a TV series. "What is 'Friday Night Lights'?" Correct for $5600!

Daily Double #2: $1200 Abbrev. Sarah's been owning the board so far with $8400 to Jay's $9000 (he's owned a piece of it, too). Haley's still on $16000. "Let's go ahead and take $1000 again." The clue: nsec stands for this very brief amount of time. "What is a nanosecond?" Correct for $9400 and the lead!

Funny thing happened on the way to the final... Haley came alive.

$8,800 $16,200 $15,000
Haley Sarah Jay

Final Jeopardy! category: WASHINGTON, DC

UNVEILED IN 1923, THE STATUE SEEN HERE OF THIS MAN IS LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE TREASURY BUILDING

Correct response: who is Alexander Hamilton?

Haley's response: who is Madison? WRONG. Wager: $2000. Total: $6800.
Jay's response: who is Hamilton? RIGHT. Wager: $2000. Total: $17,000.
Sarah's response: who is Jefferson? WRONG. Wager: $3800. Total: $12,400.

SEMI-FINALIST: Jay Schrader

Commending both Jay and Sarah for making this a nice tight game. Imagine the possibilities if Sarah decided to go for broke on those two Daily Doubles she came across. If for only those, she could've won it. But she need not worry, because that score is enough to send her to next alongside fellow Wild Card player Brandon Saunders.

Friday's show will tell the tale as to whether or not on-the-bubble players Haley or Audrey from yesterday will join them. See you then.
