Finals:
GTown/MIT/GT - Part 2
May 17
Last week, fifteen collegians took to the
Jeopardy! stage and pitched bout for a shot at $100,000 and the title of
Jeopardy! College Champion. With that comes a seat in the $250,000
Tournament of Champions. Now that the semifinals are out of the way,
it's time for the J! to get real, with three players - Jim Coury of
Georgetown, Kristen Jolley of Georgia Tech, and Trevor Walker of MIT -
competing for $100,000 and the right to play for $250,000 later in the
30th anniversary season of Jeopardy!. Their names will join 24 others
etched in immortality on the giant Jeopardy! College Tournament trophy
at the J! Hall of Fame in Culver City.
What challenges await the brightest
collegians in the country? How will they rise to meet them? The answers
to these questions could be worth $100,000 for the winner, $50,000 for
the first runner-up, and $25,000 for the second runner-up.
And now, the deciding game...

was "I Am Legend", dropping him to $10,600.
Video Daily Double #2: $1200
Biblical Geography. Kristen trails by $3000, $7600 to $10,600. She bets $3000,
and here's Jimmy... "When conquered in 586 BC, the Jewish people were resettled
along the Khabur River, hundreds of miles from their home, hence the verse, 'By
the rivers of' this place, 'we wept when we remembered Zion'." "What is
Galilee?" No, it was Babylon, dropping her to $4600.
