Talkin' Trash
October 25

Welcome back to the CCW Arena and more of Hulk Hogan’s Celebrity Championship Wrestling.  Last week was a very interesting experience as we saw the ten celebrities learn some basic moves and utilize them into a match.  Team Nasty beat out Team Beefcake and we saw the ousting of Tiffany from the proceedings.  So, let’s not waste anymore time and go to the next episode.

We start things off in the Kayfabe Lounge where the remaining 9 celebrities are discussing the last match.  We find out that Frank Stallone’s ribs are hurting thanks to Dennis working a bit stiff and Danny Bonaduce’s back is sore because of Butterbean delivering a nice power slam at the end.    Erin Murphy decides to lash out at Team Nasty because she was jealous that her match wasn’t as good as the others.  Danny takes offense to this and they lash out at each other verbally.  As soon as it gets good, Hogan and crew come in.  Danny bets Erin $50,000 that he’ll still be there when Erin’s gone.  Danny railed in her good that she cried.  (S-Note:  Danny made her literally cry during an episode of Bewitched.)  After that, Hogan gives a speil about how people have to go to great heights to please the crowd, sometimes having to go to the top of the arena.  They go to the warehouse where Nasty Boy Brian Knobbs and Brutus Beefcake are waiting.

In the Warehouse, Knobbs and Beefcake shows the people what they will be doing.  They will be jumping from a 30 foot high crane.  Frank says he’s tentative because he’s an agoraphobe.  (S-Note: Agoraphobic means being scared of open or public places, not heights.)  After a nice demo from Brutus, Team Beefcake goes up.  Danny and Todd go down with ease, then we get to Trishelle.  She’s scared to go off as well.  But with some coaching from her celebrity allies and the coaches, she jumps off and survives.  Butterbean causes a 2.8 Earthquake when he jumps.

Now we get to Team Nasty.  Everyone jumps well, save for Nikki, who went down in a standing position.  When it was Frank’s Turn, he decided that he’s not gonna do it.  He got chastised really bad by everyone.  Knobbs now knows why they call him “The Other Brother.”  We come to the ring and Bischoff grills the celebs on the trial.  Nikki was awestruck and said “I got nothing.”  Then we get to Frank Stallone and he claims that he’s here to wrestle and not be a trapeze artist.  Bischoff said that they won’t be judged on just one thing, it’s a combination of everything.

Now we get to the three new moves.  Bischoff lays in to them a Headlock Takedown, a School Boy and a shoulder tackle.  With that, we head to training.  But before that, in Team Beefcake’s locker room, Danny Bonaduce is not there.  (S-Note:  Danny does a radio show Monday – Friday, which conflicts with the training.)  Todd, in a great bit of comedy says that he’s got nothing.  Trishelle is scared because he won’t know the moves and could injure people if he doesn’t know what he’s doing.

Team Beefcake’s training of the Headlock Takedown went without a hitch, so for comedic and reality show effect, we go to Team Nasty.  There are some problems with learning the new move.  Erin cries because her necks hurting, so she sits out for a bit.  Nasty isn’t that pleased with that.  We go to the School Boy Training, Team Beefcake’s still clean on this, so we go to Team Nasty.  Nasty says that this move is the easiest move in the Wrestling 101 Magazine and they can’t screw this up.  Frank screws it up by grabbing the wrong leg, and Nikki grabs the training partner by the gonads.  Both teams do well with the shoulder tackle, however with Nikki does it with her boobs.

Brutus lets the team know that for the match it’ll be:

Team Beefcake Match: Week 2

Danny Bonaduce &
Trishelle Cannatella

Butterbean &
Todd Bridges

While the routine was going smoothly, Butterbean let out a few beans of his own, thus giving everyone a water break.  So, let’s go to Team Nasty’s training where Knobbs asked Rodman to show him the Clothesline from the 2nd Rope that he did last week.  When he hit, he caught Knobbs flush in the ribs, but he hurt his rotator cuff in his right shoulder thus needing a medic.  Back to Team Beefcake as Danny comes back from his radio gig and gets taught the 3 new moves very quickly.  So, while they get their routine down, Team Nasty gets Rodman back but he’s on the sidelines with the rotator cuff injury.  So, here’s how Team Nasty’s match will be.

Team Nasty Match: Week 2

Frank Stallone &
Nikki Ziering w/ Dennis Rodman

Dustin Diamond &
Erin Murphy

So, with one last pep talk from Hulk Hogan and the coaches, we now head to the arena for some CCW Action.

First match of the night is Danny and Trishelle Vs. Butterbean and Todd Bridges.  Danny and Trishelle are working heel, whereas Butterbean and Todd Bridges are working face.  Bonaduce and Butterbean starts us off as Butterbean delivers a nice batch of shoulder blocks, which ironically is one of this weeks key moves.  Bonaduce sells well and weasels out to tag in Trishelle.  Butterbean doesn’t want to fight Trishelle, so Trishelle climbs up to the second rope and starts to beat up on butterbeans shoulders, so Butterbean just backs her up to the corner and squishes her.

With the squishing, Butterbean tags in Bridges and Bonaduce comes back.  Danny is noted to rush everything, and rushes into his head to the turnbuckle and to a headlock takedown.  Danny counters to a Head Scissors and tags in Cannatella.  Todd takes care of her quickly and she goes out and Bonaduce comes back in and gives Bridges a clothesline.  Furious, Danny smashes Bridges head into the turnbuckle.  Trishelle comes back in and runs right into the corner.  Bridges tags back in Butterban and Bonaduce comes back in and gets hammered.  While Butterbean is playing up the crowd, Bonaduce is trying to roll him up for a school boy.  While Bridges tries to get in, The ref plays interceptor and Cannatella nails Butterbean with a kick to get Bonaduce the School Boy 1-2-3.  Bonaduce and Cannatella win the battle, but Butterbean wins the war when he picks up Bonaduce and throws him over the top rope.

My take: Really good matchup with good chemistry between Bonaduce and Butterbean.  Trishelle is the weak link because she really didn’t do much in this match, except help Bonaduce pin Butterbean and get squished by Butterbean.

Now we get to Team Nasty’s match.  Last week, the star was Dennis Rodman.  Unfortunately, Rodman is sidelined with the shoulder injury and will be managing Frank Stallone and Nikki Ziering as the faces.  Dustin Diamond and Erin Murphy will portray the heels in this contest.

The match starts up with Nikki and Dustin. Dustin gets kicked and his head banged into the turnbuckle 10 times for Excedrin Headache #2.  A school boy by Nikki only nets a 2.  Nikki gets Dustin in a headlock and takes him over.  She sets up Dustin for Frank to come in to deliver a solid chip to Dustin and school boy him for a 2 count.  Frank gives dustin a headlock, but Dustin reverses and sends Frank to the ropes, but Murphy blindsides him, to little effect, but Dustin nails him from behind to send Frank flying outside the ring.

Rodman is freaking and really wants to partake in the festivities but the Ref tells him to stay outside.  So, Diamond uses it to his advantage to smash Frank’s head into the guard rail and choke him out on the bottom rope.  He’s really taking it to Frank Stallone, no wonder they call him the Wannabe Italian Stallion.  Dustin misses with an Avalanche to the corner, so they tag in the respective partners.  Now we got what Joey Styles calls a Catfight.  Erin is a little tentative, but Nikki just clobbers her from one turnbuckle to the other and smacks Diamond.

With that out of the way, they tag back in Frank and Dustin.  Frank delivers a stiff clothesline to Dustin, but only gets a two-count.  With the Ref watching Rodman, Erin Murphy comes in with a big Double Axe-handle to Frank, knocking him out.  Dustin covers him for the 3-count and the win.  Rodman freaks and that ends the segment.

My take:  Dustin was clearly the star of this match.  He sold well, he delivered well and looks to go far in this contest.  Frank was really the weak link here.  He delivered minimal offense and just got beat from pillar to post.

Judgment:  Hogan finds in favor of Team Beefcake quite easily, so they step out while Team Nasty finds out which one will be going home.

Nikki and Dustin get called forward.  Nikki was brow-beaten because of her looks and Dustin was celebrated because of his natural heel charisma, so those two get a pass and are safe.  That leaves Erin, Frank and Dennis.  Hogan calls out Frank and said he rose to the occasion and did everything he could to pull off the main event.  Erin was told that she still had promise, but didn’t improve as much as she could.  Dennis was called out for not working hurt.  However, he was still the ring general.  He directed traffic and did everything he could to work this match.

Now we get to see who will be going home and that person is………..

FRANK STALLONE!  He’s the Jabroni and is sent packing.  He’s not downtrotten, but was a bit embarrassing.  He’s 57 years old and doing this, so that should be commended.  But, he’s gone, and forgotten.

Next week, we get gimmicks for the crew, so that should be quite entertaining.

Until then, this is Robert Seidelman saying, Goodnight.
