Good News, Bad News: 15 Compete Again
October 22
Fifteen special Americans were given the tools and the opportunity to get another chance at life... not to mention a shot at $250,000 and the title of the Biggest Loser. The trainers were also given a chance to save anyone that they deemed was worthy enough to survive a Red Line but failed to do so. Last week... Jillian exercised hers on Craig, so we still have 15 on the ranch.

Craig notes that he is here for his family and not to replicate the circumstances that led to his father's untimely death. But if he lets go of the guilt he feels for "having caused" his death, he pushes him away. It's your classic damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't scenario.

Meanwhile, Ruben (you remember him, right? American Idol, season 2, won?) has some news given to him... His insulin level... high.. His hemoglobin A1C... high. His glucose...even when he's sleep... high. "Between those different factors... You have diabetes." Ruben: "I am... afraid." Luckily type 2 diabetes is completely reversible, BUT it's going to take hard work and discipline.

Week 2 is notorious for crap numbers. Week 1, you lose a ton. Week 2... plateau. Normally, you choose to push a little bit past your break. JUST enough to increase your tolerance for next time. This is not normal. This is the Biggest Loser. You will cry. You will cry a lot.

At the weight room, Jennifer is showing signs of struggle. She's thinking about her daughter, how she picked up her bad habits, and how can she reverse the trend before it's too late.

CHALLENGE #1: Dash or Die

This week, only one person's weight will count for the entire team, and you will not know whose until the weigh-in. If your face comes up at the roll of a die, then your weight will count for your team. But the team that wins will get a second die to roll and a choice between TWO people.

But today, there is a standard-pipped die that you will roll to determine how many water buckets you have to carry up a hill and dump into a tank. The first team to pass the yellow line on the tank will win the second die. Oh, and since your fate is connected to each other, so too will you be during this challenge.

WINNERS: BLUE!

Back at the ranch, Hap gets some good news... he's a father. Meet your new son, Ripken!

REVISIT! Remember Lindsay Bravo from last season of TBL? She's literally flipping over her new self. She's changed herself... and her family in the process. Brother Jonathan has lost over 70 pounds and counting. She's now in high school with a fresh new start and has become an advocate for health & nutrition at her school.

LAST! CHANCE! WORKOUT! LET'S HIT IT!

WEIGH-IN #1

The entire team will weigh in, but only the player whose face shows up on the die to be rolled by the trainers will count. The person with the lowest percentage weight-loss will lose the weigh-in, and the person who falls below the Red Line will be eliminated IF the trainer chooses not to use the save.

Bob has TWO dice. But Dolvett will roll first.

By the way, eliminated contestants have a chance to win a $100,000 at-home prize thanks to the Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness Ridge. With four locations in Chicago, Ivins, Malibu, and Niagara. FREE MONEY!

Back to business. The dice...

RED: TANYA
WHITE: FERNANDA
BLUE: CHELSEA or HAP. Bob chooses Hap, who he called "a machine".

Let's weigh in.

BLUE:
Chelsea: 229 --> ... 223 (-6)
Holley: 335 -->... 325 (-10)
Matt: 333 --> ...325 (-8)
Bobby: 338 --> ... 328 (-10)
Hap: 386 --> ... 373 (-13) - 3.37%

WHITE:
Craig: 372 --> ... 361 (-11)
Marie: 240 --> ... 235 (-5)
Tumi: 305 --> ... 297 (-8)
Jay: 274 --> ... 263 (-11)
Fernanda: (needs to lose more than 8) 238 --> ... 236 (-2) - 0.84%

Classic week 2.

RED:
Jennifer: 255 --> ... 246 (-9)
Ruben: 441 --> ... 431 (-10)
Rachel: 239 --> ... 231 (-8)
David: 371 --> ... 360 (-11)
Tanya (needs to lose more than 2): 246 --> ...242 (-4) - 1.63%

Which means that the WHITE team is in danger. AGAIN. So who falls below the Red Line?

1) JAY - 4.01%
2) CRAIG - 2.96%
3) TUMI - 2.62%
4) MARIE - 2.08%
5) FERNANDA - 0.84%

And had Jillian rolled any other person, her team would be safe. But tonight, Fernanda is the first player to leave "The Biggest Loser" this season.

So how does Fernanda look today? Tune in next week, because that question will be answered within the first five minutes.
