Boy
Wonder, Balloon Maker, and a Big Request
December 14
Welcome to the Bank of Hollywood. Your panel is
comprised of Candy Spelling (wife of the late Aaron Spelling), Vanessa Rousso
(Poker Player), Melody Thornton (Pussycat Doll) and Sean Patterson (Wilhelmina
Models president). Bryan Callen is the host.
Clients: Sabrina Terry / Robert Terry
Looking for: $8,750
Reason: Allowing him to represent the USA at the World Tap Finals (Tap Olympics)
in Germany.
Robert gives us some moves, and for an 8 year old, he's pretty good. He gets 3
quick yes's (and I'm guessing Vanessa would have been a 4th Yes) and we have our
first donation. TRANSACTION: GRANTED
Clients: Michael Cantrovich and Stephanie Haslem
Looking for: $75,000
Reason: Dream Wedding
Michael and Stephanie got laid off and Stephanie had surgery, and they've been
helping with bills. They've been together for 2.5 years and haven't been engaged
yet. Uh oh. They show pictures of where they want to be married and the dress.
The 4 stars believe that having an expensive wedding doesn't make you happy, and
the money would be better off used elsewhere. We get 3 Nos and that's enough.
TRANSACTION: DENIED
Client: Debi Carideo
Looking for: $31,987.50
Reason: To get her daughter commercial pilot's license
Debi offers 50% of it, and she's asking not for her sake, but for her daughter.
She wants to work for the California Forest Service, and she's currently getting
her license in Puerto Rico. Her mom has been doing this by herself (her father
passed away when she was 4) and mom gets a video from her daughter, care of the
show. AwwwwBarf. However, Debi has already sunk $26,000 worth in scams for her
daughter, and Sean is worried that she will invest the money again in a bad
scheme. The panel has decided...to bring her back at the end of the show and ask
some more questions. TRANSACTION: TABLED
Client: Cheryl Martin
Looking for: $84,000
Reason: To follow Madonna around the world and giving back to the community.
The panel gets to give her money to go to each city within the tour. She's going
to be giving the value of a ticket to local charities, but she's not going to go
to all the concerts. Once the panel hears that she's not going to go to all the
concerts, it's a quick set of no's, and Sean says that she doesn't have 'Like a
Prayer' of a chance. TRANSACTION: DENIED
Client: Timothy Wilcox
Looking for: $21,425.00
Reason: To compete and win the Miss Gay U.S. of A at Large pageant
Timothy / LaTrice Royale does an interesting showcase for the judges, and then
explains the money needs to go clothing (large sized clothes are made), his
dancers, food, travel, etc. He was arrested for 18 months (drugs + driving is
bad, kids) and lost his mother in the process. He rebuilt his life and according
to him, it's not how you fall, it's how you get up. Timothy said that he would
compete, regardless of the money, and that's a bad thing to say, because that
gets a no from Candy. Melody says yes. Sean says he would have said yes to
$10,000, but he will say no only because of the amount. Vanessa agrees, and it's
3-1 No. I blame the ignorance of the judges on this one - but also on Timothy
who didn't justify the high cost. TRANSACTION: DENIED
Client: Drew Pokorny
Looking for: $12,500.00
Reason: To take his mom on a European Cruise.
The money goes on a 10 day cruise to go through Italy and to the U.K. He's a dog
trainer and owns his own business. His mom has gone through chemo twice and he
doesn't know how much longer she has to live. Vanessa says she wants to see him
earn it, but Sean knows that time is of the essence and for that reason, he says
yes. Melody says yes, as does Candy, so despite Vanessa's no, Drew gets to go,
3-1. TRANSACTION: GRANTED
Client: Spencer Mroz
Looking for: $93,750
Reason: Swimming Pool
Brandon, who's in a wheelchair, can use his legs in the water and he wants to be
able to move again. He was hit by a drunk driver and was paralyzed from the
waist down. He uses aqua therapy at the swim club, but that's only a few times a
week, vs. if he had the pool, he can train himself all the time. His dad comes
up from the stage and they both start crying over his accident. He gets 4 yes's
and with a lot of tears from the judges. Aw. TRANSACTION: GRANTED
Client: Jason Gadino (J.J. The Balloon Guy)
Looking for: $15,000
Reason: To go on a children's hospital tour making balloon animals for sick
kids.
Jason uses the money to cover expenses, and wants to go to the 10 biggest
children's hospitals in America. He went to a children's hospital and made a
balloon teddy bear to a kid, who was very happy about it. Jason says that he
needs it, and as a full time balloon artist, he needs to do this to make
children happy because it makes him happy. He gets a unanimous yes from the
panel and it's off to the hospitals he goes. TRANSACTION: GRANTED
Finally, it's back to Debi Carideo and her daughter's pilot's license. They have
decided to give them the money... BUT... they will write the check directly to
the flight school. Debi doesn't have a problem and everyone is happy. And Debi
gets another reward as she sees her daughter, who gets to come over and hug her.
Everyone is happy. AwwwwBarf.
