The Best of the Rest
June 30
We've seen he unbelievable, the
unimaginable, and the unusual. But you know what? We've saved the best
for last.
First up, Jimmy Dinh (LA by way of
Vietnam), who does eyelash extensions for a living. He's a little comic
(very little) who says that Howie might be his daddy. And... that's
enough for Piers. He started by killing, but now he's dying. Back to the
eyelashes for Jimmy says.
Next, Kaya & Sadie, the Belly Dancing
Duo. And they get to go to Vegas without doing anything. They cap their
audition with a drum solo. Howie loves the T&T. The talent and the
timing. So to reiterate... three yeses. Also getting a yes, Lindsey
Stirling (hip-hop violinist), Team X-Pogo (extreme pogoers), and da
Maniacs (big boy dance crew).
Clownvis is an Elvis impersonator...
who's a clown. He says he's the king of clowns. Right now, he's the king
of Xs. And talking about the judges is one thing, but you don't touch
the Prince of Darkness. "Nobody disrespects my husband.... so (*GT)
off." And he does. Also (^_^)ing off are the Sumo Champs (what do you
think), the Tap Dancing Sarah Palins (again, what do you think they
do?), and Frequent Flyers Productions (they... fly. Frequently).
Rick Smith, Jr. (card thrower) gets Nick
to hold his target. And we get to hold a spot for him on the plane. Will
he sit next to Phil Trau (tapdancer), who'll do a routine he did 53
years ago? He wants to give his wife a facelift. And he may still have
it at 74, but Piers doesn't want any of it. At least at first. Piers...
has to TAKE BACK HIS X! HA! HE NEVER DOES THAT! Three yeses.
Next is Luigi Seno, who was born and
raised in the Philippines. He came to this country eight years ago,
wanting to give back to his parents. He'll do that with a guitar and
Maroon5's "Sunday Morning". Sharon says he's cool and relaxed. Howie
thought he was a great entertainer. Piers notices a charm about him.
Three yeses.
And our long and winding road ends at...
Arthur Nakane, a one-man-band originally from Japan. He's added so many
instruments to his one-man-band over the years that it takes three hours
to set up. He wants to let people know that anyone can do what he does.
He performs a number for Sharon, Dave Clark Five's "Because". Three
hours to set up, ninety seconds to play... "Yes we can." Sharon says
yes. Howie says no. Piers says....
...
....
YES WE CAN!
And that's all she wrote for the
auditions. In total, over 80 acts were given the go-ahead to Vegas. But
only 48 will earn the right to perform for your votes. Who gets the nod
and who's going home? Find out next week as we take the show to Las
Vegas for the Callback Round!
