Two contestants... six panelists... a
lot of questions and even more bluffs. What could possibly go
wrong?

Tasha Dixon
Phoenix
personal trainer |
Tom Arnold
actor/comedian |
Natasha Leggero
"Another Period" |
Bill Bellamy
comedian |
Howie Mandel
"America's Got Talent" |
Sheryl Underwood
"The Talk" |
Louie Anderson
"Baskets" |
The object of the game is to
surmise whether a panelist is giving the right or wrong answer to
Jon's question. You bank money for each correct judgment, and the
player with the most money at the end of three rounds gets to play
for up to $5000.
ROUND 1: Questions are worth $100, and Bo gets to play with Howie,
Louie, and Natasha, while Tasha plays with Sheryl, Bill, and Tom.
Tasha gets two for $200, while Bo gets one for $100.
ROUND 2: Questions now worth $200. The contestants swap panelists.
Tasha gets another two for $400 more, $600 total. Bo gets one for
$200 more, $300 total.
ROUND 3: Questions now worth $300... and we're back to who we were
playing with in round 1. Tasha wins on the final question, $1200
to $900.
BONUS ROUND: The $1200 Tasha won is hers to keep no matter what
happens. Now she gets a chance to play for another $5000. There
are three questions - one with three possible answers, another
with four, and a final one with six. If you answer all three
questions correctly, you win $5000.
- Q1: What are the two main ingredients in pasta: flour & water,
oil & eggs, or olive & garden? Tasha takes flour/water (Howie)...
she's one down.
- Q2: Doctors believe that Abraham Lincoln suffered from what
medical condition: Crohn's disease, Marfan syndrome, diabetes, or
a hole in the head? Tasha goes with Marfan syndrome (Sheryl)... Go
for the cash!
- Q3: The largest museum of footwear is located in what famous
city: Topeka, Toledo, Toronto, Tokyo, Torino, or Seoul? Tasha goes
with Toronto (Louie).... and she's up to $6200!
In the nightcap, Jon Lovitz, Loni
Love, Louie Anderson, Tim Meadows, Caroline Rhea, and Tom Arnold
get to play with Carrie (orig. Washington, DC) and Noah (Denver,
executive assistant). Noah wins, $1100 to $600.
BONUS: Noah gets to the final question: Which one of these cities
that starts with an F is NOT found in Arizona: Flagstaff,
Fairview, Fountain Hills, Fort Apache, Florence, or Phoenix? He
goes with Fort Apache... but it was Fairview.

Season 34 begins with a title
defense... as do all seasons, really. Shadi, let's play for three!
TWO DAY CHAMPION
Shadi Peterman
St. Louis
high school history teacher
$18,000 |
Laura
Kelsay
Grand Island, NE
hotel desk reception clerk |
Andrew
Clyne
Hoboken, NJ
lawyer & legal recruiter |
A lot of events are planned for
this new season, including the Test for the College Championship
now being registered at Jeopardy.com, but more on that as the
season progresses. For now, let's get the show on the road.
JEOPARDY! ROUND: Rejected Greeting Cards, Name Her Sport,
Self-Help Books, Back in Black, Highway to Hell, "A-C"/"D-C".
Shadi begins the new season with $200 "A-C"/"D-C", uncovering the
Daily Double under $400 Highway to Hell on the fifth clue of the
round. with $400, $200 less than Andrew, she bets her wad on this:
this state's Highway 67 will get you a nice view of Devils Head
Mountain in Pike National Forest. "What is Arizona?" Nope, it was
Colorado, dropping her to zero. At the half, she recovers with
$1800, but with Laura on $8200 to Andrew's $2400, the champ will
get the first pick in...
DOUBLE JEOPARDY!: Architecture, Comedy Tonight!, Nicknames,
History of Science, Spanish Words & Phrases, It Happened in
Europe.
... with $400 It Happened in Europe, finding the first Daily
Double under $1200 Architecture. In second by $2400, she bets
$3000 on this: as seen here, vermiculated masonry features
wandering grooves that resemble tracks of these creatures. "What
are snails?" Nope. It was a case of the response being hidden in
the clue: vermiculated = worms. She's down to $4400. Laura finds
the other under $1200 Nicknames. She wagers $3000 herself on this:
a gaudy, glittering metallic substance is in this nickname for the
LA movie industry. "What is Tinseltown?" Got it for $15,200! She
ends up with $16,400. With Andrew on $6400 to Shadi's $5600, the
game is out of reach.
FINAL JEOPARDY! in "Artists & Authors": in 1929 Georgia O'Keeffe
painted the tree in New Mexico under which this British-born
author used to write. Correct response: who was DH Lawrence?
No one gets the first Final of the new season, but it's more or
less an open-and-shut case as Laura wins $14,400. Shadi leaves
with an even $20,000. |

WELCOME BACK TO THE GAME SHOW NEWS NET
DAILY RECAP of WHEEL OF FORTUNE! Let's detail the three major
changes for the 35th Anniversary Season! The first change involves
the bonus minimum which is raised to $35,000(for Season 35). The
second chance involves the SPIN ID. We no longer have a 5K a Day
number. The SPIN ID number is now tied to the mystery round. If
someone wins $10,000 in the mystery round, a number will be drawn
and someone at home will also win $10,000. The biggest change for
Season 35 happens in the bonus round. The front game winner now
gets a chance to pick his/her bonus category from a set of three.
Will that help or hurt our players? We have 195 shows to find out
and we start with day 1 of "Teachers Week!"
The $1,000 Tossup is QUOTATION. Megan Harding from Hillsboro, OR
solves IT WAS THE BEST OF TIMES. She is a married 2nd grade
teacher with a 1st grader of her own. Krissy Williams is an 11th
grade teacher from Charlotte, NC. Eric Nowlin from Crown Point, IN
is an alternative education teacher who is married with an 8 year
old daughter.
The $2,000 Tossup is MOVIE TITLE. Eric misses and Megan has $3,000
with SPIDER-MAN HOMECOMING. We add this to the wheel, a
WorldStrides educational tour of France worth $9,100! Megan starts
PHRASE and picks up the MDW on spin 1 with 2 N's. Megan hits the
first Bankrupt of Season 35 losing the MDW and $1,350. Krissy hits
a Bankrupt as well. Eric hits 2 $500 L's along with a $1,000 Mrs.
Printables GC and solves PLEASE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION for $3,200 in
total in cash and prizes!
Krissy starts the Nasacort mystery round which is our first
CROSSWORD ROUND of the season. The clue is BACK TO SCHOOL and
there are four words related to it. She misses. Eric misses the
first vowel of the season(A). Megan hits Lose a Turn. Krissy loses
$2,350 on Bankrupt. Eric gets $10,000 for his $2,750 Mystery round
risk but misses another vowel(O). Megan misses. Krissy hits a Free
Play U and solves PENCILS DESK QUIZ KIDS for $1,200.
Eric starts the Express Wedge/Prize Puzzle round which is SHOW
BIZ. Eric hits a $3,500 S and misses. Megan hits Bankrupt, but
didnt lose anything because she spent all her money on vowels.
Krissy misses on the Free Play(O) and solves LIVE REGGAE MUSIC for
$400 and a trip to Jamaica at Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall worth $10,392!
She has $11,992 in cash and prizes!
The $3,000 Tossup is THINGS. Krissy misses and Megan sweeps with
TOOLS FOR SUCCESS. She has $6,000 and starts WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
We go into a FINAL SPIN worth $1,650 a letter. Krissy seals her
win with GRADING PAPERS and $3,300! She goes to the bonus round
with $15,292 in cash and prizes including her trip to Jamaica.
Megan leaves with $6,000 in cash and Eric leaves with $3,200 in
cash and prizes!
The pre-bonus round total is $24,492. Krissy chooses WHAT ARE YOU
DOING? as her bonus category over PHRASE and FOOD & DRINK.
Krissy lands on the N in WIN wedge. With the RSTLNE and her
choices of P G D O we have:
_ N P _ _ _ _ N G
_ _ G S
Krissy will be UNPACKING BAGS in Jamaica, but not adding
$35,000(our new minimum) to her total. She leaves with $15,292 in
cash and prizes! |

Here we go with another new season!
The only real difference this time is that it looks like they're
getting right to the game faster at the start of each show, so
let's do that!
Richard Banks (Chicago, IL)
He sweeps the first 5 questions, then asks the audience and calls
on his uncle at $7,000 before seeing this...
[$20,000]
Though it starts and ends at sea level as it stretches from San
Francisco to NJ, what highway reaches an elevation of 8,640 feet
on WY's Sherman Hill?
A: I-10
B: I-40
C: I-80
D: I-90
Richard says it's not A, then uses the 50:50. C and D remain. He
decides to go for it, saying D... but it's C! As a result, he
leaves with $5,000.
Audrey Watkins-Fox (Schenectady, NY)
She gets to $5,000, then uses the 50:50 at $20,000. That is where
the horn goes off; Audrey will be back tomorrow!
In the nightcap, Cassidy Denton
(Old Hickory, TN) gets to the $10,000 question, where she is asked
for a high-end car brand that does NOT feature an animal in its
logo. She ends up trusting the audience, which went with Alfa
Romeo (47%), but it's actually Maserati (30%), sending her out of
there with $5,000.
Joanne Warzoha (Steamboat Springs, CO) is up next; she uses the
50:50 at $10,000, then on the $30,000 question, she calls on her
neighbor and asks the audience to help figure out which
Oscar-winning actress has the same last name as what Tina Turner
was born with. Still unsure of it, Joanne walks with $20,000, then
finds out that it's Sandra Bullock (44%), which is what she would
have guessed.
With little time left, Nick Grant plays "Thousandaire," going for
$1,000 with one question. He hopes that the B-52s are the ones who
chose their band name because the sound of it evoked inclusiveness
(and that that's also the name of a spy plane), but it's actually
U2. |

- Jumping Spider
- PARKOUR RUN: Five angled steps lead to a rope swing.
- Warped Wall
- DOMINO PIPES: A broken bridge of five pipes that tilt forward.
- Flying Squirrel
Hit the buzzer and you move to Stage 2. Fall at any moment or run
out of time, and ... well, there's always next year.

as she fell on the Double Dipper.
In total, 40 brave young men and 1 brave young woman all completed
the course and have a date with Stage 2. You'll see them as they
go through that... and beyond... on the season finale next time! |

Larry

Today's rogue's gallery of
men-and-women-on-the-street includes Stuart (29; Redmond, WA),
Shaina (30; Fitzwilliam, NH), and Blake (27; Los Angeles). They
help Tiffany to $500, Larry to $400, and Nicole to $400 by the end
of round 1.
ROUND 2: Going into the final question of the round, Tiffany has
$700 to the others' $600. The question involves Blake and Shaina:
Who says their favorite movie is "Titanic"? Tiffany locks in with
Shaina. Nicole & Larry go with Blake. Correct answer... BLAKE!
Nicole & Larry move on with $800. Tiffany has $700 and that's all
she wrote for her.
ROUND 3: Larry plays with Stuart, while Nicole rides with Blake.
- $250: Do they think more than 40 people will show up to their
funeral? Larry went with LESS... right for $1150. Nicole went with
MORE... RIGHT for $1150! Still tied.

To Tell the Truth

Taye Diggs
"Private Practice" |
Jana Kramer
country singer |
Ken Marino
"Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later" |
Iliza Shlesinger
comedian |
This is one of two episodes taped
for season 3, which has since been moved to midseason. The second
will air next week and act as a de facto season finale. The
differences here is that each correct vote is worth 10 instead of
one, and the player with the lowest score will have a dirty (and
completely made up) truth aired out by Anthony himself.
GAME 1: ANDREW MOORE AKA KRYOMAN. The first challenger is a
world-renowned DJ with a robot suit, pyrotechnics, lights, and
fog.
- #1:
- #2: Taye
- #3: Jana, Ken, Iliza
CORRECT: #3. #1 is Law Lesane, a professional rapper. #2 is Lyndon
Hoffman-Lew.
GAME 2: MMA WORLD CHAMPION. One of the challengers is undefeated
in the ring. His (or her) advice: roll with the punches, and
you'll get a kick out of it.
- #1: Iliza, Jana, Taye
- #2:
- #3: Ken
CORRECT: #3, Angela Lee. #1 is Robert Jekabson, a Golden Gloves
champion boxer. #2 is Daniel Jiu prefers his martial arts neat and
separate.
Going into the break, Angela goes to work on Robert.
GAME 3: CHRIS & HEATHER DEMPSEY: One of these couples has a
special connection - "I married my organ donor."
- #1: Ken
- #2:
- #3: Taye, Jana, Iliza
CORRECT: #3.
BEFORE YOU GO: One of the two remaining couples from game 3 are
actually husband-and-wife retired FBI agents, who met when Carl
Chandler was carrying out Cassi's background check.
- #1: Jana, Iliza
- #2: Taye, Ken
CORRECT: #2. #1 is Eric Sharp & Martha Hackett, who we're guessing
just met today. If Martha looks familiar, she played Seska on a
few episodes of "Star Trek: Voyager".
Going into the final round, still double score, Jana has 20
points. Taye has 20. Iliza has 20, and Ken has 30. So it's still
anyone's game to lose.
GAME 4: KITTEN KAY SERA, who claims to be the "pinkest" person in
the world, owning a collection of a whole lot of pink
accoutrements that she began with a 20th birthday of wearing all
pink.
- #1: Ken, Jana
- #2: Iliza
- #3: Taye
CORRECT: #1. #2 is Wendy Svehlak, the creator of National Pink
Day. #3 is Jamie Donnelly, who played one of the original Pink
Ladies in the movie "Grease". With the hand jive.
FAKE NEWS: Because Iliza and Taye have 20 points, Mama Doris must
break the tie. So for the second time, Iliza must go in front of
God, country, and sound stage and watch as Anthony delivers a
completely embarrassing, completely made up story that she will
not be able to deny for the next 24 hours.
"At a romantic beachside ceremony one weekend, Iliza reportedly
tied the knot with her dog Blanche, but the honeymoon was canceled
when Blanche filed for an annulment for what she called "excessive
mouth kissing". The annulment was put into question after both
parties consummated the marriage... three times."
The show ends with the panel being attacked by Kryoman.
