"Double Tribal, Double Trouble: Day 7" - September
30
Night 6: Eight women plus one tribal times thunder
and lightning equals...
Interesting how Dolly
thought she was the swing vote, but ended up the target,
says Eliza. In truth, it was SHE who was the swing,
which may bring out the worst in the other young'uns,
but oh well. Mia thinks that she was on the other side,
but in truth, it was because Dolly answered a particular
question incorrectly.
Makes you wonder,
doesn't it?
Day 7: Get that dirt off
your shoulder.
Twila gets ready to kill
a) a chicken, b) her tribemates, or c) Matthew von
Erfeldta of the Amazon, as she sits alone, honing her
machete. See, most people would say sharpening, but that
would require taking steel off and making a new edge.
Twila is simply reshaping the existing edge. So if
anyone asks, you heard it here.
Mia also gets in her
mind to do some hunting, for the relatively low-danger
target... of fruit. Julie suggests a rotation to the
fact so people will think that actual work is being
done, which puts Mia off. Then Twila butts in, and it's
an all-out free-for-all, with Twila calling Mia a catty
bitch and Mia calling Twila a coward whose only out is
the "martyr" card. Mia: "I can't stand Twila. I want her
out."
Aaaaand they're still at
it. Twila: "Mia's mad because she knows I'm right."
So we go to get tree
mail, where Eliza is once again cornered by her decision
at last night's Tribal. Eliza notes that she did what
she did because she couldn't trust Dolly. They get the
tree mail, a makeshift ladder of sorts, while Mia and
Lisa happen to be in the neighborhood. Eliza tells them
that she's with them 100%.
Mia wants to get rid of
Twila and warns Eliza not to switch. Lisa, ever
skeptical, confesses that she has a back up plan should
Eliza feel the switch bug again.
Oh, the contents of the
Tree Mail. Right...
THIS NEXT CHALLENGE IS A TOUGH ONE; BOTH TRIBES
SHOULD FEEL QUITE STRESSED.
THE ISLAND'S AURA DARKENS; TODAY, ALL FRIENDSHIPS
WILL BE PUT TO THE TEST.
A LONG DAY AND NIGHT FOR EVERYONE; YES THERE IS NEED
TO WORRY.
WITH IMMUNITY ON THE LINE, YOU BETTER FINISH IN A
HURRY! |
R/I-CHALLENGE: The
Great Escape Course (for fishing gear)
Jeff puts all 16 players
on notice by saying that there will be two tribals
tonight. The first half is for a tribal reward; the
second half for individual immunity.
There are a series of
gated fences. The first is to be unlocked by detaching
planks. The second is to be unlocked by removing locks
with keys that must be grappled from the sand opposite
the gate. The third is to be unlocked by solving a grid
puzzle in which the opening must be freed in order to
climb through. First team to do that wins fishing gear
and the chance to play for immunity.
The men go from the top
to the bottom, while the women go from bottom to top.
Men move on first, women follow. JP gets ringer after
ringer after ringer to move on to the third wall first.
Twila gets the last key at wall #2, but it's too late as
the men slide through the last grid to win reward.
The women sit this next
one out, as the men now have to assemble a ladder from
rungs buried in the sand. First person to do so wins
immunity. That person is John K. Not only will he be
safe from the vote today, he gets to decide who will be
safe from the women's camp as well. To that end, John is
coming back with us.
Back at camp: "I'm
Gene Rayburn, welcome to..."
John arrives at Camp
Yasur and makes a gambit that will break the game wide
open (as if nothing else could...), separating the tribe
into those who voted for Dolly (the Elders and Eliza)
and those who didn't (Mia, Lisa, and Julie). Johnny,
remembering where his true alliances lie... with little
Johnny, is curious to know what happened with "the whole
Dolly thing". Eliza goes on to say that she was in
danger unless she voted out one of the Young'uns, making
sure to distance herself from the rest of the elders.
Way to scare John off,
there. "Oh my god, would you please stop talking." The
youngs-minus-Eliza tell John not to give the necklace to
Twila or Eliza, not realizing that he doesn't really
care either way. Eliza comes up and immediately everyone
thinks "teeter" again, so much that Mia asks if she's
voting for her. Eliza: "No way in hell."
Scout's name comes up in
probables, as does Twila's again. John thinks it'll be
interesting to see who he'll pick.
Night 7: Tribal
Council...
After Lopevi votes out
JP, 5-3, John K. stays behind to award Immunity to one
other. He does so... on Ami. Needless to say, she's
shocked. She thought that John would give it to someone
who was in danger.
Scout, Mia, and Lisa go
back to that morning's shoutfest, as Twila and Julie go
into why exactly no one has been communicating to the
other side. Twila says she's a tomboy at heart against
girly-girls. Ami advises Twila to take the time and get
in touch with her feminine side and let the others
French braid her hair and do girly things. Hair and
nails. That's a start. Scout is basing her vote on who
she thinks is causing chaos. Jeff immediately calls out
Mia. Well, if you remember, Mia did start the fight
so...
Mia: TWILA - "You said
you can't relate to women. Unfortunately, you're stuck
on an all women's tribe. I just don't want to spend
another day on the island with you."
Scout: MIA - "You're a volcano that erupts more than I
like. Good luck finding a husband that'll put up with
you."
Twila: MIA - "You've got a mouth and a half."
Eliza: TWILA - "You have an amazing work ethic, but you
can't be here anymore."
Tie ball game. Let's see
how the other votes went.
Ami: MIA
Julie: TWILA
Leann: MIA
... and the last one...
Lisa: MIA
Eliza is floored. Mia, THE TRIBE HAS SPOKEN, and
the young'uns aren't as cohesive as they thought.
