The ladies will perform
tomorrow. The results of your vote will be revealed next
week, and we will be down to your top 16.
As per usual, you'll hear
what the judges think about a performance and what we
think... which promises to be brutally honest because
two of us have perfect pitch.
Contestants will be given
freedom of any song they wish.
Right now, though, ADAM
EZEGALIAN (21; toy designer; Wantagh, NY) is going to
kick it off with the Motor City rock of Twisted Sister's
"I Wanna Rock".
WHAT THEY SAY: Jennifer
called it contagious. Harry said it worked. Keith...
well, who knows what he said.
WHAT WE SAY: ... Stick to
your day job.
Next up, Michael Simeon
(21; farmer; Lumberton, MS) with Michael Bolton,
switching it slow with "How Am I Supposed to Live
Without You".
WHAT THEY SAY: Harry said
that he needs to sing in tune. Jennifer enjoyed it.
Keith says he stayed in the moment.
WHAT WE SAY: Sounds
constipated. Given that Ed Sheeran is popular, he'll get
a pass.
Savion Wright (22;
student; Jasper, TX) got a no last year. He'll give it
another go tonight with Train's "Hey Soul Sister".
WHAT THEY SAY: Harry said
it started unfocused, but it honed in. Jennifer says to
keep your eyes on the camera. Keith didn't think that
song choice did him any favors.
WHAT WE SAY: weak.
Mark Andrew (29;
landscape foreman; Eden Prairie, MN) was on "The Voice"
a few seasons ago, but tonight, he's on the blue stage
with The Band's "The Weight".
WHAT THEY SAY: Keith
thought it was a good song for him. Harry agrees.
Jennifer thinks he's got a chance at this.
WHAT WE SAY: We finally
found someone who has played to this strengths.
Trevor Douglas (17;
student; Fort Worth, TX) wants to be the next Bill Nye.
Will he have the science to groove on Gavin DeGraw's
"Best I Ever Had"?
WHAT THEY SAY: Keith
liked the stage presence. Jennifer thought the song was
just "okay". Harry said that the vocal wasn't as good as
the performance.
WHAT WE SAY: Very
breathy. Not good at all.
We go into halftime with
Clark Beckham (22; street performer; White House, TN)
with Percy Sledge's "When A Man Loves a Woman"
WHAT THEY SAY: Jennifer:
"Goosies all day." Harry thinks that he's really
talented. Keith thinks he's a contender.
WHAT WE SAY: Surprisingly
rangy.
Going into the second
half with Rayvon Owen (23; singer/vocal coach; Richmond,
VA) with Nick Jonas' "Jealous".
WHAT THEY SAY: Harry says
that he's elegant, handsome, and likable. Jennifer
needed a little more attitude. Keith liked the falsetto.
WHAT WE SAY: It's a song
that fits his range. He also commands the stage.
Up in #8... our youngest
competitor, Daniel Seavey (15; student; Portland, OR),
with "I'm Yours" from Jason Mraz.
WHAT THEY SAY: Keith
likes the song choice. Jennifer thinks he's "beyond
adorable". Harry thought that there's some great talent.
WHAT WE SAY: Give him
another year.
We've reached the final
four with Riley Bria (18; student; Spring Hill, TN), a
man who played with Keith, and Eric Church's "Homeboy".
WHAT THEY SAY: Jennifer
says that he's a good combination of "sweet" and "edgy".
Harry says he reminds him of Keith. Keith thought the
song choice was pretty spot on.
WHAT WE SAY: Really hard
to listen to, but there's no other country artist
tonight, so he's going to survive. If only we could.
From Keith Suburban, we
have Quentin Alexander (20; retail associate; New
Orleans) with Screamin' Jay Hawkins' "I Put A Spell On
You".
WHAT THEY SAY: Harry wants America to give him a chance.
Jennifer thought it was "a performance". In the good
way. Keith thought it was a Grammy performance.
WHAT WE SAY: Nice
original take for an original person.
Nick Fradiani (28;
musician; Guilford, CT) gets us going with "Thinking Out
Loud" by Ed Sheeran.
WHAT THEY SAY: Keith
liked the song choice. Jennifer thought it was one of
the best tonight.
WHAT WE SAY: Nice voice.
Very mature. But like half of the guys on stage: hot guy
with guitar.
Closing us out today:
Qaasim Middleton (20; musician; Brooklyn) is going from
Nick's "The Naked Brothers Band" to Mark Ronson & Bruno
Mars' "Uptown Funk".
WHAT THEY SAY: Jennifer
loves him. Harry says he left it on the stage. Keith
says he killed it.
WHAT WE SAY: ... It's a
good closer song. That's really all we can say about it.
Motown: Michael, Mark,
Clark, Rayvon, Riley, Quentin, Nick, Qaasim
NO-Town: Adam, Savion, Trevor, Daniel
We'll see how America
voted next week. Meanwhile, it's onto the ladies.
