With Risk Comes Reward
June 28 |
So far, 14 people moved into
the house... then in the first of many BB Takeovers
planned this summer, Phil Keoghan shoe-horned two of his
Amazing Racers to join them. James and Jason were
crowned Heads of Household, but the Battle of the Block
could put one of them on the block before long.
We leave off when Phil gave Da'Vonne and Vanessa a hint
of what is at stake. Could it be a trip on The Amazing
Race? Maybe some extra money? Maybe a quick way to get
Jeff and/or Jackie out of the House?
Jace and Austin enter into a bro... showmance. A
browmance. Notice the extra W. Totally different.
"Who wants to see our HOH room!!!" And so it begins, as
Jason & James invite the house to take a look at what
passes for Jason's basement in this house. After the
room-warming, Jason and James take a moment to discuss
game and what to play next. James... has nothing right
now. Jason has... Steven, who has no interaction, or
Johnny Mac, who... really? No one thinks he's a dentist?
Then they talk about "The Office" like it's somehow
relevant. Big people make for big threats. So are
ladies.
Jeff & Jackie, our Racers-turned-Houseguests, are
talking about the rest of the house together. Jackie
wanted more than Jeff did, and a relationship didn't
really pan out. So much for that twist, Jerry
Bruckheimer. They determine that they have targets on
their backs due to their previous reality experience, so
Jeff acts to put some distance between him & Jackie.
John's bad pick-up line: "Wanna make you?" Mine: ... how
YOU doin'?
"GET READY FOR A TAKEOVER!!!!" Phil's back
with a message for Da'Vonne and Vanessa. He introduces
the BB Fast Forward. Since they decided to sit out the
HOHs, they are given a Fast Forward.... TO NEXT WEEK!
THEY CANNOT BE EVICTED! And more still, you can pick one
person to join you. And you have 30 minutes to make your
decision. And with that, Phil departs, his Takeover
complete.
Da'vonne wants to avoid bringing up her alliance with
Shelli & Audrey, telling Steve that he gives off "an Ian
vibe". Which is why James is avoiding him like the
plague.
DA'VONNE SAVES: Liz
VANESSA SAVES: Austin
Jace & Austin have an official name: Shelltown. Austin
likes it because "he'll definitely take the fall before
I do."
Shelli gets cozy with Clay. She reveals that she's
divorced. He reveals that he's a momma's boy. Speaking
of Shelli, Da'Vonne is starting to get a bit nervous
about her. They're thinking about keeping her at an
arms' length. Audrey is glad that Jason is HOH, and
she's hoping that he puts Jace up. Jason... thinking the
same way.
Steve is trying to get tight into Da'vonne. No one would
expect this sort of alliance. James, same thing with
Audrey. Enter Da'Vonne, who James would also like to see
advance. Da'vonne agrees... if only for this week.
Everyone says that Jace is a backdoor situation. Jason
says we're going to need pawns and votes... Jackie?
Johnny Mac? Meg? Becky? Steve? ... Okay, not Steve.
Because Steve knows that the history of pawns in Big
Brother is written in the blood of said pawns.
ROUND 1 #Nominations
JASON NOMINATES: John & Becky
JAMES NOMINATES: Steve & Jackie
Each HOH nominee has been guaranteed safety. But
anything can happen. For now, here's Audrey and Da'Vonne
dancing.
Steve & Jackie think that someone's trying to be
backdoored. "You can be confident without being cocky,
because when you get cocky, you can get lazy." Becky &
John... same conversation, only with Jason present as
well.
#BattleOfTheBlock: DuBOB
Teams will add to the skyline of the fastest-growing
city in Los Angeles County. Uncover the blueprint,
showing you how to arrange 26 blocks on the other end of
the balance beam. Each person may transport only one
block at a time. If you drop a piece or fall off the
beam, you must return to your last platform before
continuing on. The first team to build their skyscraper
will be SAFE from eviction AND will dethrone the HOH
that nominated them.
WINNERS: Becky & John! That means that Jason is NO
LONGER HOH. But the question... is Jace still on point
to be evicted next week? Next time, it's the POV
Competition. To see tonight's episode in its entirety,
