Season 17 at the Marketplace of America is about to begin!

The first Mega Money Monday of the new season begins with Phantom Tyler (videographer), who gets $1200 or he can have Curtain #3. He goes for the Curtain, getting… a home theater worth $5400! Next, princess Diggi (San Diego entrepreneur) gets $1000 unless she wants to buy a small box. She wants the money, and she gives up boat shoes (ZONK!). 80s chick Robyn (personal trainer) gets the leftovers - $1200 – unless she wants the gift bag. She takes the bag, and she gets… a trip to Argentina (5n @ Buenos Aires) worth $11,403!

CAR PONG: Gorilla Mike (Pilates & dance instructor) is playing for a NISSAN SENTRA worth $24,550! He gets a shot to earn 15 more seconds by identifying which of these albums are in Beyonce’s discography…
- Beyonce, Lemonade, Evermore, Cowboy Carter
Lemonade… Cowboy Carter… Beyoncé… that’s 20 seconds total! But will he give up $500 for a shot at the car? Yep. He ends up with… $1750.

I’M DRAWN TO YOU: Tradwife Frances (Woodland Hills, CA; retired secretary) meets two men: American taekwondo guy Shant (behavioral therapist) & Mario Chris (caregiver). The men have to draw their favorite meal. Frances likes Shant’s burger for $1000. Chris gets $100. Frances and Shant both have $1000. They can spend it on Curtain #1. Frances takes the money, giving up ZORILLA’s banana-go-round. Shant’s option: the Big Box… He wants the box, and $1000 buys him a motorcycle! It’s a Yamaha worth $4999!

Kangaroo Amanda (San Jacinto, CA; registered dental assistant) has a chance at $10,000 in our Mega Money Monday game, a variant on the Diamond Hunt. One of seven numbers has $500, one has $1000, one has WIN. The other four are Zonks. Wayne needs three things.
- Tissues? NO.
- Headphones? NO.
- Glasses? Got those.
#6… GONE. She picks #3. Sure thing behind Curtain #1, a $3000 Nordstrom shopping spree! She takes the shot at it. Behind #3… $500! The big money was #4.

Showgirl Alison (Menifee, CA; bartender) gets a box of $20s. She can take it if she can guess how much is in it within $300. She goes $3220. She can take $500 to call off the deal or take Curtain #2. She wants the curtain. In the box… $4300. Behind the curtain… a new kitchen worth $7745!

IMPROV BATTLE: Ronald (Warner Robins, GA; retired coach) gets a small box… and a tiny box. Wayne’s small box (delivered in the style of… Tiffany’s Choice – kid’s song) is something that you use on your back when you’re sore. Jonathan’s Tiny Box “looks good” and has “fossils”. Ronald picks the Tiny Box. In the small box… massages for a year worth $4400. In the Tiny Box… $500 to call off the deal? Nope. He gets a tiny T-rex in a tutu (ZONK!). Ronald: “Go Dawgs!” Jonathan: “Roll Tide”. You and your SEC talk…

EXTREME CLOSEUP: Last one before the big one involves Butterfly Lisa getting $500 and a shot at more identifying… a horse, lipstick, and an Oreo cookie for $1500 more. Now an envelope worth $2000. She wants it, and $2000 buys her a Weekend Getaway (Laguna Beach) worth $3015!

TODAY’s BIG DEAL is worth $23,358: Alison trades in her kitchen for a door. She takes Door #1.
- Behind Door #3… a new barbecue worth $4744.
- Behind HER door… a new bedroom worth $7197 (almost an even trade)
- The BIG DEAL was behind Door #2… a trip to Amsterdam (5n) and EVERYTHING IN THE BIG DEAL.

*totals are based on the MSRP of the prizes on the tape day and rounded to the nearest dollar

The longest-continuously-running-game show in television history is about to write a brand new chapter… but more on that later.

First contestants in Season 54 Premiere Week are Kira Turnage, Estela Perkins, David Blum, and Melanie Owens, playing for a bar cabinet, chairs & cocktail machine. As always, please give your bids in whole dollars, because the prices are rounded off to the nearest dollar. Estela wins the $2713 package and a shot at an ACURA INTEGRA in RANGE GAME. She stops it at $33,960. The price… $34,195! First game, first win!

Kira gets a $1763 photo booth, but can she picture herself in New York (5n @ Hotel Edison, $1500 resort credit), Maui (5n @ Napili Kai Beach Resort, $500 resort credit), and Colorado (5n @ Mountain Lodge Telluride)? Which is the MOST EXPENSIVE? She goes with NYC. Hawaii… $13,452. Colorado… $10,235. New York… $11,284.

Marian Westfield wins a $2855 set of Helen Ficalora jewelry & Jimmy Choo shoes. And that’s not all, she has a shot at $500,000! She’ll be the first to compete for THE LION’S SHARE (presented by BetMGM).

Inside our ball blaster (C-Note: for lack of a better name) are 40 balls, each one corresponding to a prize on the board. Five of the balls are worth $100,000. Five are marked LOSE IT ALL. Avoid those. She gets one ball for free and a chance to win four more and four small prizes to go with those. Each prize has two balls corresponding with their numbers. If you think the numbers as they land are the true price, say “TRUE”. If you’re right, you get a ball.
- Hand rake for $17, TRUE? RIGHT!
- Whisk for $29, TRUE? RIGHT!
- Flashlight for $48, TRUE? RIGHT!
- Toaster for $83, TRUE? RIGHT!
She wins five balls and with those, a trip to Tokyo worth $14,419, a hot tub worth $11,421, a pair of guitars worth $5250, and $2000 for a total of $33,090!

Estela wins at the Big Wheel. Meanwhile, Johnny Walker… $1420 DJ package… oh yeah… Next up, a game room with pool table, darts, and a foosball table in DOUBLE PRICES. Is it $10,078 or $7143? He goes with $10,078… but it was $7143.

Melanie gets off the schneid with an $870 phone. Can she win a KIA SELTOS LX in MONEY GAME?
- 26         54           38
- 17         72           85
- 25         61           24
Middle number is 6. 24… Money. 26…. FRONT! 85… WINNER!

David gets last bid last chance with a pair of scooters. The price: $2250. The winner… Veronica Holden. Next up, a trip to Italy (6n @ Villa Campestri Olive Oil Resort) in BULLSEYE. A pair of Panda Puffs… $5.79 each for a total of $11.58!

Johnny meets Estela in the SHOWCASE. First up, an outdoor pizza party with the hot tub from earlier, projector with big screen, stainless pizza oven, and a MAZDA MX-5 MIATA SOFT TOP CLUB! Top winner Estela bids $48,000. Johnny gets 54 reasons to celebrate - $5400, the trip to Tokyo from earlier (6n @ Park Hotel Tokyo), and a HYUNDAI VENU SEL! He bids $41,300. Actual price… $42,716, a difference of $1416. Actual price of Estela’s Showcase… $47,654. She’s over by $346, and Johnny wins $44,136!

Reba, Snoop, Niall & Michael are in position as we kick off season 28 of the thinking man’s talent competition. But this season will be different, as Carson is getting in on the act with what they’re calling the Carson Callback.

CARSON CALLBACK: Carson has the power to offer one artist who failed to make a team a chance at auditioning again.

Aiden Ross (20; College Station, TX) sings “Love in the Dark” by Adele, getting a four-turn. He picks… NIALL.

Mindy Miller (age unknown; Nashville) sings “Wildflowers & Wild Horses” by Lainey Wilson. Snoop blocks Reba from turning her chair, and since he was the only other player to turn, she’s all his.

Max Chambers (14; Shreveport, LA) sings “I Want You Back” by the Jackson 5ive. Michael and Reba fire, and Max wants… Michael.

Manny Costello (28; Athens, GA) sings “Almost Home” by Craig Morgan & Jelly Roll. Reba and Snoop make a play, but Manny goes with Reba.

Ari B (30; Detroit) sings “Are You That Somebody” by Aaliyah…. And she fails to turn a chair.

Dek of Hearts (Nashville), our first group of the season, sings “Heads Carolina, Tails California” by Jo Dee Messina. They get all the coaches to turn…. And surprisingly, they go with Team Niall.

Peyton Kyle (26; Gainesville, GA) sings “Talking to the Moon” by Bruno Mars. Reba… is the only one to hit her button. She gets him.

Ralph Edwards (30; Fresno, CA) sings “Lights” by Journey…. And everyone is in play. He goes with… Snoop.

Jack Austin (21; Battle Creek, MI) sings “This Town” by Niall Horan. Snoop sits this one out. Niall, logically, should be the best fit.. and he is.

Ryan Mitchell (25; Los Angeles) sings “Cigarette Daydreams” by Cage the Elephant. He… doesn’t wow anyone. But he does wow Carson, who uses his Callback for a second chance. He has 24 hours to prepare a new song.

Jazz McKenzie (31; Birmingham, AL) sings “What’s Love Got to Do with It” by Tina Turner. Reba gets revenge by blocking Snoop. She, Michael, and Niall are in. Jazz picks Team Bublé.

TEAM SNOOP: Mindy Miller, Ralph Edwards
*TEAM BUBLÉ: Max Chambers, Jazz McKenzie
*TEAM REBA: Manny Costello, Peyton Kyle
*TEAM NIALL: Aiden Ross, Dek of Hearts, Jack Austin
*Block available
- Called back: Ryan Mitchell.

Will Ryan make the best of his second chance? Stay tuned…
