FIRST 21 WINS
trip to Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Palm Springs

Hand 1: Mike gets a 6, Jen a queen, and David a 5. Jen passes a jack to Mike. David passes a 3 to Jen. After the first missed question in this series, if not in the history of this show, Mike takes a 3 and freezes on 19. David passes a 2 for 15, then busts her out on a queen for 200. David draws a 4 for 13... and a 9 to bust. Mike wins the round for 600 to David's 300.

Hand 2: we have a queen, a 4, and a 6 on the board. Jen gets David's ace for soft 15, while David gets Mike's 7 for 13. Jen busts David out with 400, then passes a 9 to Mike for 19, then busts him out on a 9, and if you've paid close attention to the opening sequence, you know what happens next. Jen wins the round with 1000... Mike is in second with 700. Both move on, David moves out.

Final Hand: Mike gets a 9 to Jen's 3. Mike passes an 5 to Jen for 8. Jen returns the favor for 17... and then she busts him on a jack to win!

Bonus Catch 21 with three power chips:
Hand 1) 5 - Q
Hand 2) J - A = 21 ($1000)
Hand 3) 4 - 10
PASSED: 9, Q, 8

She wants to walk away now that she saw that 8... Can't do that yet.  Next card... 9. BUST OUT.

One lucky audience member is in podium #1. The audience member is...Jamie Gauthier! Now will this be the last time that we hear of her ever again? Yes, because #21 has been selected. That person is Erin Levy, who's getting married 2 weeks from today (we don't know if it's the taping date or the airing date). She works for the Marketing Department for the NFL, and she needs a house - or at least a new apartment. She's keeping her case and away we go. #14 (Danielle) - $25. #17 (Mike) - $1,000. #11 (Tim) - $5. #2 (Angela) - $200. #12 (Carol) - $25,000. That's a pretty good round, which doesn't make the Banker too happy. This could make Erin happy: $26,000. NO DEAL!

Let's punt away 5 more cases. #8 (Jamie) - $100. #6 (Brian) - $10. #20 (mitchell) - $50,000. #4 (Sandy) - $2,500. #15 (Margo) - $7,500. The Top 4 cases are still in play. so the offer's going to go up. OFFER: $36,000. NO DEAL! 4 cases to open.

#1 (Jamie) - $400. #5 (Twanna) - $500. #7 (Lorri) - $1. #19 (Francesca) - $250,000. First mistake...BUT...

PENNY, $50, $300, $5,000, $10,000, $75,000, $100,000, $500,000
OFFER: $48,000

You can't get rid of all 3 big items. NO DEAL! 2 to open...

#10 (Chris) - PENNY!
#13 (Angelo) - $75,000. Not awful, but...

$50, $300, $5,000, $10,000, $100,000, $500,000
OFFER: $55,000

You have some element of danger here. If $500,000 goes away, the offer drops. If both big cases go away, then so does $45,000. She's not THAT big of a risk taker. DEAL for $55,000! That takes care of the wedding, but could she have gotten the house as well? Next 2 cases...#3 (Charlie - $100,000) and #16 (Steve) - $10,000 (OFFER: $119,000). Next case - #9 (Ramonita - $500,000). So she made a good deal - Erin only had $5,000. We finish the fun but ineffectual Audience Member week tomorrow.

The family band is back together for the big score.

Harris (Julz, Jimi James, Jeff, Jara, Janine)
parts unknown
$17,000
Balov (Elsie, Steve, Becky, Cerisse, Robert)
San Pedro, CA

Bullseye Round
- $1000: something that a person who just got divorced just might be hesitant to do. Julz DATEs for $1000.
- $2000: something that people renew yearly. It's not a driver's license people renew yearly as it is the.... MAGAZINE/NEWSPAPER.
- $3000: what would they be referring to if someone said the "M" word? Both got stumped on the M for.... MOTHER.
- $4000: something you need to do if you want to go to heaven. Another stumper. It's not believing in Jesus, and it's not praying, it's...  BE GOOD/DEEDS.
$5000: a holiday when a lot of stores of closed. It's beginning to look a lot like CHRISTMAS for Janine, who gets the five for $21,000 to the Balov's $15,000.

Single: something a person can do with one finger.

1. Dial/Push button 35   5. Pick nose 4
2. Point 31              6. Paint 3
3. Flip you off 12       7. Scratch 3
4. Tickle 4              8. Type 3

Double: what's the first thing you do when you get off a long airplane flight?

1. Stretch 40            5. Smoke 4
2. Find bathroom 19      6. Find family/friend 3
3. Get luggage 15        7. Guzzle a drink 3
4. Thank God 9

Triple: a famous Ruth.

1. Babe Ruth 48          5. Ruth Buzzi 8
2. Ruth in Bible 14      6. Ruth Bader Ginsburg 4
3. Dr. Ruth 14
4. Baby Ruth 11

It was a victory again for the Harris family after knowing the Ruth in the bible for the steal over the Balov family and winning their second game. The answers in Fast Money were not as good as their last attempt (Jimi James said the moon as a planet that you can recognize by looking at a picture of it.) and couldn't get the $21,000. The Harris family now have a two-day total of $17,760.

Wayne's got MAD MONEY! He wants to give it out. He's got Barbara (partygoer), Stephanie (sponge looking to soak up money) and Amanda (Brick House) - and he wants to hear no complaining. Stephanie gets $1,000...or Curtain #1. Sponge babe wants the Curtain, and she gets a digital photography studio worth $3,310. Now Amanda...can take the Digital Studio, or take what's behind Curtain #2. Amanda wants Curtain #2, so she gets a kitchen worth $6,748! Now Barbara can have either the studio OR the kitchen OR the big Box. Barbara wants the Big Box, and she gets...a NEW SMART CAR! It's a baby smart car worth $16,990!!! I don't know what's more impressive - the fact that Barbara won a Smart Car, or the fact that they squished one behind the big Box.

Wayne needs a couple this time. He finds a magician (Daniel) and his rabbit (Doreen). The couple married for 3 years and would love to have $10,000. Here's the game: they start with $1. For each item they can guess if it's made before or after a given year, they add a 0 to the $1. If they get all 4 right, it's $10,000. Sun Chips: 1970. After - RIGHT. Life Cereal: 1987: Before - Right. Up to $100. Heinz Ketchup: 1962. Before? Yes for $1,000. Aquafina Water - Before or after 1999? She goes with before....and we'll see that the couple has a bailout of a trip to Lake Tahoe worth $3,004! They can take that trip and the $1,000 or go for the 10 grand. They decide to..GO For IT! It is...BEFORE 1999! $10,000 for Doreen and Daniel!

Sarah (Soccer Ball Head) is bequeathed with a small box, which contains something gold inside. Wayne offers to buy it back for $500. She wants the small box and gets...Goldfish (ZONK!). Glub, glub, glub.

Nicholas (Pirate) came from Canada. Jessica (party girl) didn't, and neither did Sonegal, but each of them are here. They each gets envelopes - 2 of them has $500, and one has $100. The person with $100 - Jessica - sits down and is out. Aw. Either Nicholas or Sonegal will win a $5,450 Outdoor Kitchen Patio. It's time to play Beat the Dealer. High number wins the furniture. Sonega (Playboy Bunny) gets a 1. Nicholas (Pirate) gets a 5 and wins. Now does he want to play Beat the Dealer again - winner gets a TRUCK worth $16,180? Yes he will! Wayne has...a....3! Nicholas has a...7! He wins a truck!!!

Behind Curtain #3 is something Blue. That's for Marilyn the lollipop. Wayne offers her $700 for it. She wants the curtain and she gets ANOTHER SMART CAR! This one is a Passion Coupe worth $15,184!

Cars, cars everywhere, but will any of them trade it in for the Big Deal of the Day worth $23,696? Let's see who's eligible and in what order:

TRADE LIST:
Barbara: $16,990
Nicholas: $16,180
Marilyn: $15,184
Doreen/Daniel: $10,000
Amanda: $6,748
Stephanie: $3,310
Sonegal: $500
Jessica: $100
Sarah: Something gold for a Frat party

Barbara's keeping her wheels. Nicholas is keeping his wheels. Marilyn is keeping her wheels. Doreen and Daniel will not fork over the cash. Amanda WILL trade the kitchen, and she'll trade it for Door #3 Behind Door #2...new gym equipment worth $4,040. Behind Door #3...a new Snowmobile worth $10,799! That's nice, but not as good as a 12 day journey World Tour with NYC, Prague, and St. Petersburg. That was $23,696, but she's got a method of getting to St Petersburg. We finish off the week tomorrow.

Billy & Annie
married 13 months
Tony & Shastina
married 3 months
Michael & Jennifer
married 6 months

5-point round:
- If your wife gave you a subtle bedroom critique, which movie title would best sum up her review: "Lost in Translation", "2 Fast 2 Furious", or "A Very Long Engagement"?
- What is the one grocery item that you always have to replace as soon as you run out of it?
- "If I had a dime for every time someone said my wife looked like BLANK, I'd be a wealthy man."

Nothing for the first two couples, but Michael & Jennifer are out in front with 10.

10-point round:
- If your lovemaking were a season, what season would it be: long hot summer, fresh new spring, or cold dark winter?
- Who shaves more frequently: you or your husband?
- eHarmony Adaptability Question: what was the hardest thing the two of you had to adapt to once you were together: each other's eating habits, each other's sleeping habits, or each other's sexual habits?

Billy & Annie catch up to Michael & Jennifer. Both are tied with 30 to Tony & Shastina's 10.

30-POINT BONUS: If my husband and I were at an all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant, he'd probably fill up on BLANK, while I've got to have lots of WHAT.

Tony goes with bread/salad. Shastina... sucks out. Billy goes with chicken noodle soup/pasta. Annie... nothing. Michael & Jennifer need one. Michael gets pizza/Indian food. Pizza's enough to win! The others leave with a food pro.

Only 2 episodes remain for the Tournament of Ten. But first...

Alex Bissell (Nashville, TN) - Law student
:15 - Kid Lit, Office Supplies, What Is It?, Museums, Movie Stars
:30 - Software, CELEBRITY Q, Primates, Composers, State Slogans
:45 - Anatomy, Toys & Games, Vice Presidents, Playwrights, Sigmund Freud

[$5,000] (Movie Stars)
Poking fun at George Clooney, who said, "Angie and I will not be getting married until George and his partner can legally do so"?
A: Matt Damon
B: Matthew McConaughey
C: Johnny Depp
D: Brad Pitt

Alex asks the audience, and 82% say D. He trusts them, and secures $5,000! He then gets to and correctly answers the Celebrity Q asked by Joe Mantegna, and after that is this...

[$12,500] (Primates)
Because of their size, which of these primates is considered a "lesser ape" and not a great ape?
A: Gibbon
B: Gorilla
C: Orangutan
D: Chimpanzee

Alex takes the Double Dip. His first guess is A... which is right! Then, after getting to $15,000, he sees this...

[$25,000] (State Slogans)
"Battle Born," Nevada's state slogan, refers to the fact that Nevada became a state during what war?
A: Mexican War
B: World War I
C: Spanish-American War
D: U.S. Civil War

Alex asks the Expert, Joel Stein. He'd rule out D, and he thinks C seems logical, but B also seems good. Alex then calls his dad, Nat, and he says that Nevada became a state after the Civil War. Then, still not sure enough, Alex walks. After seeing that the answer is D, he leaves with $15,000!

The Tournament of Ten is getting closer to its conclusion. Sam Murray did what he had to do last week, but the 2nd seed, Keilani Goggins (Antioch, TN), could take his spot as the tournament leader today. Back on the Sept. 22 & 23 episodes, she won $100,000 in 1:53. Now, with 3:22 of banked time, the golden clock is set at 4:07 as she faces this...

[$1 MILLION]
In a failed assassination attempt, what U.S. president was shot at twice at point-blank range, but survived because both guns misfired?
A: John Adams
B: Andrew Jackson
C: James Polk
D: Martin Van Buren

Keilani was hoping for a question concerning a presidential fact since she was obsessed with U.S. presidents when she was young. But this isn't what she had in mind. She knows quite a few interesting facts about those presidents, but nothing concerning this question. After thinking for a bit, she does mention that she's thinking B. But in the end, Keilani is just not sure enough, so she walks with her $100,000! As for the answer, it was indeed B! That actually makes 6 people in this tournament so far (Tony, Ralph, Tim, Matt, Jeff, and now, Keilani) who was thinking of what turned out to be the right answer, but chose to walk instead!

Tomorrow, the Tournament of Ten concludes, and someone will win $1,000,000*. (Regular readers of WLTI should know why that asterisk is there.) Will it be Sam Murray, the current tournament leader, or top seeded Jehan Shamsid-Deen, who will see the last million dollar question of the tournament? We'll find out tomorrow, when Jehan returns to the Hot Seat!
