Jeopardy! by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or jeopardy.com
Host: Alex Trebek
Eric Allen (video game merchandiser from Birmingham, AL); $15,201
Lisa Llanes-Simpson (social worker & notary public from Poughkeepsie, NY)
Bruce Lin (research scientist orig. from Mississauga, ON)

So far, the gamer's been all game as he won a hard fought battle yesterday.

Eric starts with $200 Side Effects of Jepolax, a new drug concocted by the geniuses and a few mad scientists at the Jeopardy! Laboratories. At the TV time out, Lisa and Bruce bounce back from the red with $2600 and $3200 respectively, while Eric has yet to do so with -$2200.

Lisa finds the Daily Double under $600 Presidential Wives. She bets $1800 on this: she met the future President in 1915 at Fort Sam Houston when introduced to him by the wife of a fellow officer. "Who is Mamie Eisenhower?" Right on for $5000! She keeps her lead into the half with $5800 to Bruce's $5400. Eric, still in the red by $3200, will start out Double Jeopardy!...

... with $400 Add An Element Symbol, as we go to the final two categories, South Africa & Bestsellers. Eric finds the first Daily Double under $1600 Bestsellers. He bets the max of $2000 on this: inspired by a conversation with a blacksmith, Nicholas Evans made himself heard with his 1995 bestseller. "I have no idea." Looks like Eric's out of it with -$4000. Second Daily Double goes unplayed as Eric is indeed eliminated with -$2800. He leaves with $16,201, while Lisa with $7000 and Bruce with $11,800 fight it out in...

Final Jeopardy! in "Famous Plays": this play that is quite concerned with the English language was, oddly enough, first performed in German, in 1913.. Correct question: What was "Pygmalion?"

Bruce was close, but he gave the musical, not the play, which gives him $9599 for the game.

¿Qué Dice La Gente? by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  7p ET/6p CT on Telefutura
Host: Marco Antonio Regil
Torres (Dora, Mayra, Carlos, Maguy, Luz)
Nieto (Andres, Alberto, Adriana, Rose Marie, David)

The Nietos take the Double Round, giving them the lead, 244-150, as we go to...

Triple Round: something you make with flour (3). Luz gets #2, bread. Dora gets #1, tortillas. Pastries complete the sweep for the 435-244 win.

Maguy & Luz go to the Dinero Rápido board... Maguy gets 55. But for the second time this week, the family is one short of Fast Money glory. Oh well, $500 is a nice salve at least. Now to part 2.

Torres (Dora, Mayra, Carlos, Maguy, Luz); $500
Feliz (Bianka, Bienvenida, Yenipher, Carlos, Lucia); $2000, three days

After three, the Feliz lead it, 157-92. The Double Round could decide it. The question: an occasion where one would be accustomed to send cards? Carlos F. fires with #1, Christmas. Birthdays and St. Valentine's sweep it for the win, 351-92.

Will Bianka and Yenipher finally crack the Dinero Rápido board? Bringing out the canasta... Puntos extra! Bianka gets 78. Yenipher... five months... two weeks... 46 minutes pregnant just might have her baby on stage if Marco Antonio has anything to do with it. She gets the family up to 143. Adding the extra points give us... 193 for $500 more, giving the family a total of $2500 for four days.

Three new families next time.
