Jeopardy! by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or jeopardy.com
Host: Alex Trebek
Rich Small (IT programmer from Kent, WA); $18,100, two days
Hanna Miller (fitness trainer/culinary historian from Asheville, NC)
David Nikithser (project manager from Hightstown, NJ)

Rich seems to find new and exciting ways to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Can he earn it in earnest today?

Rich starts with $200 Hidden US States. David takes second at the first TV time out with $2800 to Hanna's $3000. Rich is not too far off with $2000.

Last category in play is the British Military, as David finds the Daily Double under $800. He bets the level on this: the Army's 8th & 39th Infantry Brigades are in this part of the UK to help defeat terror & maintain order. "What is Wales?" Nope. Northern Ireland drops him to $4000, where he ends the round against Hanna's $3200. Rich has $1800 and will start Double Jeopardy!...

... with $400 Home Run Sluggers. David leads as he finds the first Daily Double under $1200 Life Science. He bets a Benjamin short of level on this: myogenic means related to this type of tissue; the heart's myogenic beating continues even without nerve impulses. "What is muscle tissue?" Right for $7100. He also finds the Daily Double under $2000 Bio Subjects. He goes three-fourth the level on the subject of "Niccolo's Smile". "Who is Machiavelli?" Got it for $15,000. After a bit of a rib on Ken Jennings' H&R Block connection in the round, David is close to a lock, but not quite, with $19,000. Hanna has $9600 and can still win. It's all but over for Rich, though, as he has $7800.

Final Jeopardy! in "Islands": of the world's 10 largest islands, 3 belong all or in part to Indonesia & 3 belong to this country. Correct question: What is Canada?

You'd have to go WAY WAY north, past Ryan Vickers' house, I think to find all of the large islands. All three are wrong, as David, with $18,799. Rich leaves with $20,100.

¿Qué Dice La Gente? by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  7p ET/6p CT on Telefutura
Host: Marco Antonio Regil
We've got hour power, starting today, as the Ramirez family goes head to head with the Jares for the right to challenge the Patruno family.

Jares (Luisa, Maria, Sara, Sibyl, Rodney)
Ramirez (Gloria, Gloria, Steven, Montserrat, Julieta)

The Jares family are two points from victory, but we're going to need a Triple Round.

Triple Round: according to its use, a type of cleaner (4). Julieta scores with laundry detergent, while the rest of the family gets fabric softener, dishwashing detergent, and... glasses cleaner for the steal on the other side? Nope. The other answer was bleach. The Jares lead, 298-281 going into...

Sudden Death: something you button (3). Luisa fires with blouse... #3. Shirt is #1 for Gloria. Will the Jares steal with shoes? NO! The Ramirez win, 521-298! Other answer: jacket.

The Ramirez can't take Dinero Rápido, but they do take $500 for winning part 1. Now to Part two...

Patruno (Sergio, Marina, Sergio, Valentina, Danny); $500
Ramirez (Gloria, Gloria, Steven, Montserrat, Julieta); $500

"La canasta de tentacion" (The Basket of Temptation_ makes a triumphant return, as do Friday's champs, the Patrunos.

The Ramirezes take the Double Round for 174 against the champs' 189. Let's go to...

Triple Round: a simple mathematical function (3). Danny fires with addition for #1. After seeing subtraction (3) and multiplication (2), the champs are still champs, 447-189.

Danny and Sergio Jr. take Dinero Rápido again... and out comes la canasta de tentacion! If you're an avid fan of 100MD, you know how this works. If not... well, here's how it works:

- "Buena suerte" means just that. "Good luck."
- "$500" gives the family that much.
- "Puntos extra" means the family gets bonus points.
- "El Doble" means the family will play for $10,000.

Danny pulls an extra $500. That... and the $500 for winning the game, is all they're going to get today, as he and Sergio crap out in Dinero Rápido, giving them $1500 for two days.
