Jeopardy! by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or jeopardy.com
Host: Alex Trebek
Craig Westphal (paramedic from Tucson, AZ); $41,001, two days
Lisa Kushida (attorney orig. from Duncanville, TX)
Don Tenney (senior product specialist from Henderson, NV)

Craig nearly escaped defeat yesterday. Can he return to form today?

Craig starts with $200 "B" Movies, finding the Daily Double under $800. He risks the max of $1000 on this: 1972: bitten by a vampire centuries before, a bloodthirsty African prince feeds on a modern city. "What is Blacula?". Right for $1800.

At the half, Craig does indeed return to form as he leads with $4800 to $3800 for Lisa. Don with $1000, starts Double Jeopardy!...

... with $400 MD TV. Craig finds the first Daily Double under $1200 Old West Desperadoes, risking $3000 on this: on Oct. 5, 1892 5 members of this gang entered Coffeyville, Kansas to rob 2 banks; only Emmett survived. "What is the Dalton Gang?" Good guess for $11,400.Two clues left as Craig goes for the trifecta with $1600 Geology. He risks $2000 on this: if you burn a diamond in the presence of oxygen, it will form this gas. "What is carbon dioxide?" Right for $23,000, where he'll end up, shaming Lisa's $1400 and Don's $5400.

Final Jeopardy! in "Literary Quotes": "I would like to take the great DiMaggio fishing" is a line from this 1952 work; like DiMaggio, it's an American classic. Correct question: What is "The Old Man and the Sea"?

Craig didn't need to bet anything.... but he did, as he comes up a winner with $26,000, giving him $67,001 for two days.

Lingo by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  7:30p ET/6:30p CT on GSN
Hosts: Chuck Woolery & Shandi Finnessey
Friends Julie (recent LA transplant) & Treva (teaching artist)
Buddies Dave (bartender) & Dillon (press agent)
BONUS LINGO JACKPOT: $11,000

Dave gives Dillon a quick man-slap on the back, and we're off and spelling.

Julie & Treva start with a Q, and we get a QUICK 25. And an even quicker Lingo, giving them 75.

Dave & Dillon start their run with a B. Julie & Treva steal BROWN, then follow with TACKY, EVENT, and a red ball. Dave & Dillon capitalize with the WHOLE, but Julie & Treva get it back with GRAVE... and talk about grave, it's another Lingo, giving them 225-25.

Dave & Dillon need to make something happen with an A. But Julie & Treva "look up, then look down" at ATLAS. They do it again with CHOSE. And that's the halftime buzzer with the girls embarrassing the guys, 275-25.

Dave & Dillon get a P. Julie & Treva steal PIZZA for a slice of 50. And there's Lingo... again. 425 to the guys' 25.

Dave & Dillon get a B. Julie & Treva steal BUYER, then STING... with a red ball. Doesn't matter, though. The guys are strictly playing for balls with LOVES. And speaking of, there's a red one! They get it back with DOING, as the draw the ? for Lingo, giving them 225 to the ladies' 525... and that's all she wrote. Julie & Treva won it from go.

With four bonus letters, Julie & Treva get STATE, DROVE, AUNTS, BINGE, and LABEL for five balls and $500. Money ball is 19. Treva's going to pull a 19... gasp! 37! Still four more draws. And the second is Lingo for $5000.

Next show, $12,000 up for grabs.

The Price is Right by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  11a ET/10a CT on CBS (markets may vary)
Host: Bob Barker
We went a year back in time yesterday. Fastforward to today with Austin Worden, Wanjiru Kenyua, Nick Koury, Kacie Lewis, and a kayak. It's worth $2083, and now it belongs to Nick as he plays for an elliptical trainer marked at $1399 and a sofa marked at $1038. This is Barker's Bargain Bar, and Nick thinks that the sofa is the bigger bargain. Actual price of the trainer is $2599, while the actual price of the sofa is $1538. $1200 is bigger than his $500, so he gets... that's right, nothing.

Michelle Rowe inherits Nick's spot... and promptly leaves it with a $999 electric fireplace. Michelle will putt for a Ford Focus in Hole in One (or Two). The products, in Michelle's order: Hot Pockets, Francsco Rinaldi pasta sauce, Gold Bond powder, PS surface cleaner, Space Bag, Capzasin P. The prices... $2.49... $1.99. So she's putting from clear back. Bob demonstrates the proper technique and... IN THE HOLE!

Michelle's first try... a bit off to the right. Second... IN THE HOLE!

Spot #3 is hot.. but Austin cools it off with a $1200 pearl necklace. But can he jab his way to $10,000 (or theoretically more) on the Punchboard? He earns shots with a $60 espresso maker, a $30 Dumbo Big Top Edition DVD, a $120 stand mixer, and a $99 MP3 player. End result... $250. Pass. $100... Pass... $50... Pass. $500.

Austin can win more in the Showcase, but first, Kacie takes a $1350 digital camera. She can use that in Victoria, BC, if she doesn't go Bonkers. The price is not $3267. She goes low high high low... Wrong. Low low high low? Wrong. Low low low high? Wrong. Low high high low? Wrong. Low low low low? Wrong. And that's time. It was $2456, so that would make it low, high, low, low.

Pamela Robertson scores a $1324 set of dinnerware, as she goes for a Chevrolet Aveo on the Money Game board. The middle number: 7. The rest of the board...

65  16  71
15  44  95
80  35  14

First up: 15... dollars. Then, 95... dollars. Then 14... Front! Next up, 35... dollars. Last pick... 80... dollars. She ends up with $225 and zero car.

Last chance for Wanjiru with a set of pool & beach lounges. Actual price: $630. Winner: Philip Rubin. He's got a shot at a grandfather clock and a pool table. The 1 Right Price: $2195. He goes with the pool table, and he's... right!

Pamela and Philip are in Spinoff mode after both end up with 70. Pamela spins 30. Philip spins... 25. Pamela meets Austin in the Showcase. First up: Tarzan & Jane revisited with a cell phone, an offroad motorcycle, and a travel trailer. Top winner Austin passes to Pamela, who bids $16,000. Austin heads to the Priceless Depot, with deliveries of a fridge/freezer, a utility vehicle, and a grand piano. He bids $13,800. Actual price... $21,129, a difference of $8129. Actual price of Pamela's Showcase... $15,187. She's over by $813, and Austin takes the day with $23,138 in cash and prizes.

Stats: 2-4, $53,309.

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire by Don Harpwood, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or millionairetv.com
Host: Meredith Vieira
Yesterday, Chris Jenkins (Mt. Union, PA) easily reached the $8,000 level. How will he do today?

Mt. Union is a small town. And everyone in that town knows that Chris is here, after his wife, Emily (who is in the audience), told her mother, who then told everyone. But he's normally a shy guy; in fact, he has only been in the spotlight one other time, when he and some other guys dressed as female cheerleaders in high school! Oh my... Anyway, the game resumes...

[$16,000]
At 1,670 feet, Hawkeye Point is the tallest spot in what U.S. state?
A: Alabama
B: Montana
C: Iowa
D: Maine

Chris asks the audience, and both polls favour C (39% of the studio audience; 48% of the AIM users). Chris trusts them... and they're right! Moving on...

[$25,000]
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the son of a blacksmith, was the surprise victor in what country's 2005 presidential election?
A: Iran
B: Syria
C: Jordan
D: Pakistan

The 50:50 leaves A and D. Still unsure, Chris calls his mother-in-law, Ruth, who says D, because she doesn't think Iran had any elections yet. With that, Chris says D... but it's A! Ouch. That sends him home with $1,000.

Entering the hot seat now is Janet Genovese (East Greenbush, NY). She's here because her sister was celebrating her 50th birthday, and as a present, she got her tickets to this show. Of course, they're free, but keep in mind that she's on a budget. I guess she could really use this money, then. So, Janet starts by knowing that the term "ex-con" usually refers to someone who has spent time in prison (though some would probably say Congress is as unpleasant of a place as prison). She gets through the lower tier, then faces this...

[$2,000]
Which of these famous structures was built as a tomb?
A: Great Pyramid
B: Parthenon
C: Eiffel Tower
D: The Alamo

The 50:50 leaves A and C. Janet says A... and she's right! Another question later, and this pops up...

[$8,000]
The 2005 movie "Good Night, and Good Luck" takes its name from the signature signoff of what newsman?
A: Walter Winchell
B: David Brinkley
C: Edward R. Murrow
D: Walter Cronkite

Janet asks the audience. The studio poll leans toward C (57%; 37%), but the AIM poll leans toward D (33%; 40%). Janet trusts the studio audience, saying C... and it's C! And soon enough, she gets to this...

[$25,000]
The Latin abbreviation "cf." is typically used to mean what?
A: Confidentially
B: Correction
C: Created by
D: Compare

Janet calls her friend, Kelly, who says it's D. Janet trusts her... and she has $25,000! On to the upper tier...

[$50,000]
In the epic poem "Beowulf," Grendel terrorizes the countryside of what land?
A: Belgium
B: Denmark
C: Scotland
D: Germany

Janet has an inkling, so she chooses not to switch the question, as she figures she would then end up with something that she would have no idea about. So, she goes for it and says D... but it's B! Well, at least it was a free guess, so she didn't lose anything; she takes home $25,000!

Next up is Chris Giuliano (Stamford, CT). There's not much time left, so she gets right to it by knowing the cynical advice "keep your friends close and your enemies closer". After a few questions, she reaches this...

[$1,000]
A sugary favorite of kids, Franken Berry cereal is artificially flavored to taste like what fruit?
A: Cranberries
B: Raspberries
C: Blueberries
D: Strawberries

Chris asks the audience, and though the results are close, both polls are leaning towards D (45%; 34%). Considering how close the results were, Chris then uses the 50:50. C (39%; 28%) and D remain. She goes with D... and she has $1,000!

That's all for today. Chris will be back tomorrow.
