Today, I still dream of
Jeannie.
But first... A
professor at Edinburgh University of Pennsylvania, Franz
Spoon. His secret: "I make murals out of bubble gum."
Jermaine gets that drawing is part of the process.
Suzanne gets that the unconventional medium is something
that we eat. Frank is empty. Billy gets that it's candy.
But that's it. Franz gets the money and dinner, and we
get an art show. "Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka," "Roy
Rogers", and ... hey, it's Suzanne!
Next... celebrity secret
coming. It's "I Dream of Jeannie's" Barbara Eden! Her
secret clue: a historic celebrity connection. Suzanne
gets that the person is political who signed the
Declaration of Independence. Frank rambles on 60s TV.
Billy starts naming names. Jermaine gets it.
His secret (highlight for
answer): I am related to Benjamin
Franklin. Her grandfather is a direct descendant.
Finally, blindfolds,
please, for Angelino Bonnie Morgan. Her secret: "I am an
extreme contortionist". Frank gets that flexibility is
involved. Billy gets that she's doing something while
she's stretching. Suzanne gets it. And we get... a lady
in a box. And now a lady out of a box.
And we get a performance.

Roberta Ellington
(marketing coordinator from Tustin, CA); $41,701,
two days |
|
Thomas Talbot
(bookstore manager from New York City) |
|
Craig Westphal
(paramedic from Tucson, AZ) |
Today, can Roberta make
it three against Craig and Thomas?
Roberta starts with $200
Oz. Craig finds the Daily Double under $1000 Chateau
"Dif". He bets the max of $1000 on this: in
anthropology, it's the spread of cultural features like
tools or rituals from one group to another. "What is
differentiation?" Nope, it was a wrong answer given a
while ago, diffusion, as Craig drops back into the hole
with -$800.
Then Craig comes alive,
scoring $6800 by halftime. Thomas has $2400, while
Roberta at $2200 starts Double Jeopardy!...
... with $400 From Book
to Films, with Craig finding the Daily Double under
$1600. He bets $3000 on "I, Tina: My Life Story". "What
is 'What's Love Got to Do With It'?" Got it for
$12,200. He runs the category. Thomas finds the second
Daily Double under $800 World Leaders. He makes it only
$1900 on this: after overthrowing Milton Obote in 1971,
he had some 300,000 people killed. "Who is Idi Amin?"
Right for $3900. He would drop to $3100, while Roberta
would go to $3800, but they are both put to shame by
Craig's $25,800 showing.
Final Jeopardy! in "Royalty: his trial began on January
20, 1649. Correct question: Who was Charles I of
England?
All are right, as Craig
sails into the championship with $26,600. Roberta leaves
with $43,701. |
