Today, there is no release
involved. That we know. But first...
A self-proclaimed sports nut
from Fondulac, WI, Don Gorsky. His secret: "I've eaten
Big Macs every day for 34 years." Jermaine gets that it
isn't something he does to his body. Suzanne gets that
he eats something edible. Frank gets a sandwich. Billy
gets everything else. 21,246 Big Macs he's eaten, as
he's saved all the cartons.
But can he tell a real
Big Mac from just two all-beef patties, special sauce,
lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun?
Yep. On the left, a Big Mac. On the right... "secret
burger."
Meanwhile, we serve up
Big Macs for the audience while we get our next secret
holder out, a first-time father, George Vlosich III,
proud papa of George IV. An unusual artistic talent
beckons. Suzanne is empty. Frank... Neither painting nor
musical. Billy gets that something small is created.
Jermaine gets that a prop is involved in drawing. But
that's as close as he gets.
His secret (highlight for
answer): "I am an Etch-a-Sketch
artist." And he has some examples of his work,
including one of Billy from his days with the Tigers.
Finally, a coffee-shop
owner from Taos, NM, Nancy Judd. Her secret: "I make
clothing out of garbage." Billy gets an odd substance
that isn't made to cover a certain part of your body.
Jermaine gets that plastic is involved. Suzanne gets the
secret.

Jeopardy! by
Chico Alexander, GSNN
Air time: Check listings or

Host: Alex Trebek |
|
|
Dan Sander
(trust officer from Calgary); $20,000 |
|
Audrey Ng
(attorney from Honolulu) |
|
Bill Duncliffe (VP
of sales from Danvers, MA) |
One day after Alex is
installed in the Canadian Walk of Fame, another
semi-famous Canadian takes podium #1 in defense of his
championship. Dan leads off with $200 "Pun" Day. Dan's
having a day of his own after he leads at the TV time
out, $3200 to Audrey's $2200 and Bill's $1800.
Dan finds the Daily
Double under $1000 Remember the 1700s? He bets level on
this: locked out of its regular meeting place, this
country's National Assembly met on a tennis court in
1789. "What is France?" Right for $4200. That's where he
ends as Audrey was just commanding this round with
$5400. Bill with $2000 will start first in Double
Jeopardy!...
... with $400 City of the
Day: Milwaukee. Last two categories in play are Lost Art
(a different kind than from the first round) and
Possessive Lit. Dan finds the first Daily Double under
$1200 Possessive Lit. He fronts the level again on this:
1952: on a farm in Maine, 2 animals with a total of 12
legs strike up an unusual friendship. "What is
'Charlotte's Web'?" Right on for $15,000! Dan is
back in his groove as Audrey finds the second Daily
Double under Lost Art for $2000. Trailing Dan's $13,400
and locking out Bill's $3200, Audrey bets half level on
a 1793 David work hanging alongside "LePeletier on his
Deathbed". "What is... I don't know." "The Death of
Marat" puts Audrey at $11,600. Still in it.
Final Jeopardy!
in "Words in the News": this word for one who
hangs around the corridors of power refers back to the
corridors themselves. Correct question: What are
lobbyists?
Anyone notice anything
different about the "think" music?
All three are in with the
right question, but the question is did Dan do enough?
YES! He wins another $23,201, giving them a two-day take
of $43,201. |

The
Price is Right by Chico Alexander, GSNN
Air time: 11a ET/10a CT on CBS
(markets may vary)
Host: Bob Barker |
|
|
Latoya McQuarter, Susan
Schaffer, Katrina Stuckey, and Sean Murphy start the
ball rolling with an audience entry from the WGMC
himself, which could only mean one thing... Latoya,
having just won a $3278 piano, is going to walk the
Golden Road with a can of Ralph's pinto beans which
could lead her to a sofa, a popcorn cart, and a $73,000+
motorhome! The beans are 94c. The price of the
sofa is $_63. Is that blank a 9 or a 4? Latoya says 9...
Right! Next stop, the popcorn cart at $1_89. Is that
blank a 9, 6, or 3? She goes with 3.... TO THE MOTORHOME!
The price is $73,_14. Is it a 1, 3, 8, or 9? She goes
with the 8... It's a 9. Darn.
Susan wins a $560 set of
cookware. Hopefully she can parlay that into $10,000 on
the Punchboard. She gets shots from a $25 hot lather
machine, a $33 candy dispenser, and $100 wireless
speakers. She gets three... she only needs one. Top row,
third hole... $10,000!
Jennifer Dewitt is down
and up thanks to a pair of his and her bikes worth $898.
She makes her move to Make Your Move, where she can win
the "Dumbo" special edition on DVD, a rocker, and a
snowmobile. The lineup: 3 0 9 2 5 9 1 8 8. She slides
the DVD to $25, the rocker to $309, and the snowmobile
to $9188. She is... wrong. The DVD, a SPECIAL EDITION,
is $30, whilst the rocker is $925.
Shame, too, because she
had it right the first time.
Latoya gets $1000 from
the Big Wheel. Who will she face in the Showcase? Could
it be Timothy Hodges, who wins a $1488 step chest? He
plays for a trip to Boston (marked at $2183) and one to
Atlanta (marked at $1387) at Barker's Bargain Bar. Which
is the bigger markdown? He goes with Boston. ATL was
$3387 for a discount of $2000. Boston is $3783, which
brings us another loss.
Sean wins an $1124
telescope, as he gets a go at a Ford Focus. The game is
Pass the Buck. First pairing: Azo cranberry supplement
at $5.99 and Francesco Rinaldi sauce at $1.99. He passes
right... Left. Second: Gold Bond powder at $7.99 and
Santa Fe bean dip at $2.69. He passes right... Left. One
pick at the board, make it count... $3000 under #3.
Last chance for Katrina
with a set of backpacking equipment. The price: $800.
Winner... Ashenputtel Adams. She tries to convert the
Squeeze Play into a Gemcar. The lineup: 7 9 6 9 5. She
omits the 6... Should've omitted the first 9.
Sean beats out
Ashenputtel to earn a spot opposite Latoya in the
Showcase. First up: a dining room with dinnerware,
Shari's Berries for a year, and a trip to Thailand. Top
winner Latoya passes to Sean, who bids $14,000. Latoya,
meanwhile, gets oogie-boogie ancient drawings related to
two cell phone, a pool table, and a ski boat. Latoya
bids $26,500. Actual price: $29,655, for $3155
difference. Actual price of Sean's Showcase... $16,811,
a difference of $2811. He wins $20,935 in prizes.
Stats: 1-5, $43,502. |
