Today, everyone's into
Billy's trademark swing, but first...
A father of three from
Cincinnati, Theo Nelson. His secret: "I made a half
court shot and won $1,000,000." Suzanne gets to start
today, as we get a feat of athleticism with a ball.
Frank is empty. Billy gets that an audience is
involved... as was a basketball... and the money shot.
And the video... Boom.
Next, a retired data tech
from New York, David. He has a celebrity connection.
Frank gets that the celeb is an actress under 50, over
30. Billy gets a film star brunette. Jermaine also gets
that she's a singer and she's... "something else."
Suzanne: "Is she Latina?" Yep. She gets the celeb, now
the connection... Bingo bango.
His secret: "I am David
Lopez, J-Lo's father."
Finally, blindfolds on,
please for New Yorker Martha... Wash. Of the Weather
Girls. That's the secret. Actually: "I recorded the hit
song 'It's Raining Men'". Billy... "Wow." Jermaine...
"OH! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOODNESS!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!"
Suzanne... "HI! I'm a lesbian, we LOVE your song!"
Frank... "Martha Wash, is that you?"
She takes us out with her
secret.

Host: Alex Trebek |

|
Jonathan Spencer
(box office manager from Alameda, CA); $18,801 |
|
Dan Sander
(trust officer from Calgary) |
|
Richard Vehlow (professional
HVAC engineer from Troy, NY) |
Jonathan goes from suit
to sweater (a classic sign of ease with the game) as he
enters his second match with $200 You're a Beast!, where
he finds the Daily Double under $1000. He bets the max
of $1000 on this: a golden one of these animals is
featured on the flag of Sri Lanka. "What is a lion?"
Right for $1200 as we enter the TV time out with Dan in
the lead with $4400 to Richard's $1000.
At the half, Dan leads
$6200 to Jonathan's $4800. Richard, with $2400, starts
up Double Jeopardy!...
... with $400 "Sole"
Train. Dan is running away with it as Richard finds the
first Daily Double under $1200 Don't You Think? He bets
$1800 on this: in 1637 this French "father of modern
philosophy" was seeking "truth in the sciences". "Who is
Descartes?" Right for $4000 even! Jonathan is at $7200
when he finds the second Daily Double under $1600 Isn't
It Iconic? He bets big with $4000 riding on this:
Grolier says this 1930 double portrait is "perhaps the
most parodied painting in American art". "What is 'A
Cameo in a Locket'?" Nope. It's "American Gothic", as he
drops to $3200, where he ends the round. Richard has
$6200, while it's Dan's game to lose with $17,400.
Final Jeopardy!
in "European Literary Classics": In this 1832
German work, the title character is followed home by a
poodle that changes into something evil. Correct
question: What is "Faust"?
Dan didn't have to bet a
lot to win it. He didn't, and wins $20,000. Jonathan
leaves with $19,801. |

It's the second show from
Monday this Friday, as Deanne Flickman, Donald
Beauchamp, Cassidy Furbush, and Joelynn Clouser bid on a
pool table. Price: $3000. Winner: Joelynn! She gets a
trip to a Clearance Sale for an electric guitar, a safe,
and a dinette. The sale prices: $599, $1000, and $1300.
She tags the guitar at $599, the dinette at $1000, and
the safe at $1300. Actual prices are... $849... $1149...
and $2097! First game, first win!
Cassidy bids $1 on a $917
set of dinnerware. Now can he drive away with it in a
new Ford Mustang? The game is Pocket Change, and the
numbers are 1 2 4 6 7 9. First number... 2. Only mistake
he makes: first guess of 4. Not the second number on the
$26,974 whip. End result: the Mustang goes for 50c.
Luckily, he has another half-dollar to win the car!
Joyce Mattson is down and
up thanks to an $1188 laptop computer, but can she win a
hot tub and some cash? Time to bring out Check Game, as
she makes a check out for $3000. Actual price: $3495.
She's over by $495.
And speaking of money,
Joelynn makes an easy $1000 on the Big Wheel, but who
will join her? Donald wins an $830 Pilates machine. Now
it's time for a bit of blackjack for a bedroom group
with sleep set. The game is Hit Me, and the products are
Clorox bath wand ($79.92), Tums Smoothies ($15.96),
Garlique ($53.94), Chips Ahoy ($1.10), Dole pineapple
slices ($17.90), and Pamprin ($6.99). The board shows a
dealer Queen. First pick: the Garlique... $3.99. That's
a 4. Next, the pineapple... $1.79. That gives Donald 14.
The Pamprin IS $6.99, giving Donald 15. The cookies are
55c, giving Donald 17, against a dealer Queen. Hole card
is... a King. Dealer 20 beats Donald's 17.
Taylor Storm storms on up
with a $1999 range. Now he's got a shot at a Ford F150
in the Five Price Tags. MP3 player is marked at $125. He
says false.... $99! He thinks $19 for a Dumbo DVD is
true... Nope. $30. Special edition, dude. He thinks a
batter dispenser is $36... Right! He thinks $12 for a
slow cooker is false... Wrong. So he's got two shots of
the five price tags. First shot: $22,720. NO. How about
$21,985? NO. It was $19,805.
Last chance for Deanne
with "the Dink". Actual price: $1795. Winner...
Alexandru Iftimie. He gets a chance to win golf
equipment marked $1345 and a chair/ottoman marked $2942.
Should they remain that way, or is Alexandru going to
Switch? He's going to keep'em.... and he's right! He
wins that and a spot in the Showcase with a spin of 75.
First up, an intern named
Ida presents a greenhouse, a print station, and a
Pontiac Grand Prix. Top winner Joelynn bids $24,500.

Thomas, Austria, and New Zealand. He bids $13,000.
Actual price.. $21,737, an $8737 difference. Joelynn's
actual price... $25,433! Off by only $900 and change,
Joelynn wins $33,528 in cash and prizes.
Stats: breakeven,
