First up against the panel
today is juvenile probation counselor James Thompson of
San Jose, CA! Big Jim's secret: "I can jump rope with 3
women on my back." Jermaine gets that he is lifting a
bunch of other people on his back. Suzanne isn't getting
anything. Frank gets that numbers are important and that
motion is important. Billy gets jumping... rope. And the
secret! We get a demo.
Next from Green Forest,
AR, Staci Jo Watson! Her secret... a unique achievement.
Suzanne gets that it involves a specific body part below
her waist, her legs. Frank gets aesthetics. Billy...
gets it.
Her secret: "I won a
sexiest legs pageant." And we see her sexy legs. Billy
gives this one to his teammates.
Legs... a theme?
Next guests from
Henderson, NV are Carlene & Rich LeFevre! Their secret: "We're
the world's fastest eating couple." Frank gets that they
did it together and did it the fastest. Billy gets it
was a competition. Jermaine gets that they won a trophy
for this. Suzanne gets that they ate something... but it
was too late. They get dinner and $1000, and we get a
demo.
To send us out, Carlene &
Rich take on Bil and Billy for the IGAS crown. Actually,
it's just Rich vs. Carlene. Rich wins, six hot dogs to
four.

Gigi Gilman
(homemaker/attorney from Seattle); $13,000 |
|
Margaret Holz
(surveyor's assistant from Lindside, WV) |
|
Michael Lapthorn
(exhibition designer from New York City) |
Gigi still can't believe
she knocked off a good champ. Today, she defends for the
first time.
Gigi starts up with $200
Number that Constitutional Amendment, finding the Daily
Double under $400. "Let's make it a true Daily Double."
The clue: 1 of the 2 with a due-process clause. "What's
the fifth?" Right for $2000. At the end of the round,
she and Michael are tied for the lead with $4600,
leaving Margaret at $2800 to start Double Jeopardy!...
... with $400 Food in
French. Michael breaks out of the lead when he finds the
Daily Double under $2000 Biblical Cities. He bets the
level on this: "And the Lord said unto Joshua, see, I
have given into thine hand" this city, "And the King
thereof." "What is Jericho?" Right on for $19,400. He
also gets the second under $800 Amazing Stories. He
fronts $7000 on this: in this 1864 Jules Verne novel,
explorers descend into an Icelandic volcano & later
surface on Stromboli Island. "What is 'Journey to the
Center of the Earth?'" Oh snap, that's $26,800. It's his
to lose with $32,400 to Margaret's $10,800 and Gigi's
$8600.
Final Jeopardy!
in "Literary Objects": in literature from the
1200s to today, it has been depicted as a type of his, a
talismanic stone & a woman. Correct question: What is
the Holy Grail?
Gigi comes up empty.
Margaret is right, and Michael comes up empty. Michael
didn't have to bet a dime, though, as he wins with
$27,400. Gigi leaves with $14,000 |

BONUS LINGO JACKPOT:
$25,000 |
A nice even $25,000 is on
the line today.
Miriam & Ash get the ball
rolling with a D for DRAMA. Angie & James claw back with
SOUTH. They follow up with LOVER (or as Shandi says "Luv-aaaah").
Miriam & Ash get the draw back with TABLE. Angie & James
steal EXAMS and Lingo for the lead, 125-50.
Miriam & Ash turn a B
into the BRINK for 25 more. They draw their own Lingo to
tie it up at 125.
Angie & James start with
a P. That becomes PERCH for the lead, 150-125, going
into the half.
Miriam & Ash get an F
stolen from them. Angie & James get FRUIT, and Angie
picks a cherry red stopper. Miriam & Ash capitalize with
BINGO, but Angie & James steal JEANS. Miriam & Ash steal
back with IRONY. They retake the lead with STEAK to win
the game, 275-250.
Interesting thing, as we
saw no ? balls in this game.

What's that guy doing
getting up? I don't know...
Katherine Scipion, Carol
Wilson, Daniel Bell, and Anastasia Zavaro are getting
up, but it's to bid on a $1267 drum set. Daniel wins it
and a chance at a dinette and spa playing the Clock
Game. He wins the $717 dinette with 16 and a half ticks
left for the spa. He gets that in 15, meaning he also
gets $1000.
A game table is on offer
in round 2, as Katherine wins it. She gets a chance to
Let'em Roll for a Chevy Cobalt. The Citracal on the
counter is $10.97. She gets that Cat Chow is lower at
$6.99. She gets the Hot Pockets are lower still at
$2.49. So that's three rolls... and with those three,
she ends up with... $500.
Anastasia wins an $1886
lounge chair and a chance at a Gemcar playing the new
Balance Game. Last three: 695. She takes the $3000 and
$4000 bags of Bob's shiny dollars, and the actual price
is... $7695! We have a winner! But that's all the
winning she'll do, as Daniel wins the Showdown Round.
Carol starts the second
half with a $1495 trampoline. Now trips to Mazatlan &
Miami are on offer at Barker's Bargain Bar. Mazatlan is
marked at $2073. Miami is marked at $2931. She goes with
Miami. Actual price of Mazatlan, $3073. Actual price is
Miami: $4431! Say hi to David Caruso and the gang for
us.
Alberto Fernandez, not
the guy from earlier, but awfully similar, wins a
chandelier in round 5 worth $1600. He has a chance at a
Chevy Malibu in Pathfinder. He uses all three of his
prizes, winning a toaster and a food chopper, but he
finds his way out to the $17,352 car.
Alvin Hosler, whose
birthday we celebrate today, wins $900 luggage, as he
gets a shot at a plasma TV in Range Game. He stops it at
about $4310. Actual price... $4500. He's a bit short.
He's also a bit short at the Wheel, as Carol moves on to
the Showcase.
First up, model survival
tips involving a gas grill, a trip to Phoenix, and a
Ford Explorer. Top winner Carol bids $32,500. Daniel
gets a new living room with carpeting, dance lessons,
and a CD jukebox. He bids $12,700. Actual price:
$15,320, a difference of $2620. Actual price of Carol's
Showcase... $34,846. It's close, but Carol wins this
with $43,845.
Stats: 4-2, $78,448. |

game, comparing it to a class that she has. Lately,
though, during the class, she was given trivia questions
to prepare her for this. Let's see if it has prepared
her enough... Michelle starts by knowing that a rhyme
that begins "Roses are red, violets are blue" is
traditionally found on greeting cards for Valentine's

interesting idea). Along the way, she faces this...
