I've Got a Secret by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time: 11:30p ET/10:30p CT on GSN
Host: Bil Dwyer
Suzanne is dripping in ice. Hopefully that'll help her out in the secret discerning tonight... and if not, at least she looks bangin'.

First up, Lisa Marie Bowlick, a stay-at-home mom from Laguna Miguel, CA. Her secret: "My breasts dance to music." Bil gives them music. Jermaine gets that it involves dancing. Suzanne comes up with breasts, and that she's NOT making the music. Frank.. empty. Billy gets that she performs to music. But that's it. Again, so darn close. We get a performance... and Lisa Marie gets $1000 and dinner for two.

Next up is Conway Downing, Jr, an attorney specializing on gaming law. His secret involves a brush with fame. Suzanne gets "a famous Republican". Frank gets that he had a brush with the President. Billy nails the secret.

His secret: "I played high school basketball with President George W. Bush." And he has pictures to prove it.

Finally, blindfolds on for Lauren Anderson and Paul Harrington from Fair Oaks, CA! Their secret: "We made our prom outfits out of duct tape." Frank gets "choice of material". Billy gets that you would only wear this one time. Jermaine gets that it isn't a wedding dress. Suzanne.... is non-plussed. They get the prize and we get a fashion show showcasing Lauren's other duct tape wear.

Jeopardy! by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or jeopardy.com
Host: Alex Trebek
Kathleen Larkey (ESL teacher/program coordinator from Vancouver, BC); $13,400
Doug Dorst (writer/professor from Austin, TX)
Erika Engstrom (university professor from Las Vegas)

The lady from Canada is in the driver's seat today, but how long can she hold onto the wheel against not one, but TWO professors?

Kathleen starts up with $200 Bill. Other categories: Gates, Micro, and "Soft". At the TV time out, Erika leads with $4200 to Doug's $2400. Kathleen has $800.

Kathleen finds the Daily Double under $800 The American Dream. The champ bets $500 on MLK's "table of" something, a crowning quality in "America, the Beautiful." Nope. Alex gives her the lyric: "and crown thy good with brotherhood", as she drops to $2700. She ends with that, but with Doug at $5000 and Erika at $6600, Kathleen will start Double Jeopardy!...

... with $400 Classic Cinema of the '40s, but it's Doug who gets the first Daily Double under $2000. He bets the level on this: Marine Ira Hayes, who helped raise the flag on Mount Suribachi, had a cameo in this 1949 John Wayne film. "What is 'Hatari'?" Nope, "The Sands of Iwo Jima" leaves him at $5400. Last category in play is State of the US Representative, as Doug finds the final Daily Double under $1600. He risks just $100 on Connie Mack, Robert Wexler, and Lincoln & Mario Diaz-Balart. "What is Kentucky?" Nope. It was Florida, as he drops to $16,900. He ends with that much, and close behind is $15,000 for Erika. Kathleen is way in the back with $5900.

Final Jeopardy! in "Books": Chapter 1: "Until one morning in mid-November of 1959, few Americans--in fact, few Kansans--had ever heard of Holcomb". Correct question: What is "In Cold Blood?"

Kathleen is right for the doubler, but so is everyone else. Doug bets big to win $30,001. Kathleen leaves with $14,400.

Lingo by Chico Alexander, GSNN

Air time:  7:30p ET/6:30p CT on GSN
Hosts: Chuck Woolery & Shandi Finnessey
Couple Ellen (receptionist for an escrow company) & John (grad student)
Coworkers Laura (hotel customer service) & Laura (hotel sales)
BONUS LINGO JACKPOT: $21,000

Laura & Laura... sounds like a sitcom or a radio show. How will their Lingo-ing skills fare?

Ellen & John get an N to start. That turns into NOTES for 25. Laura & Laura steal with PLANT for 25. Ellen & John return the favor with HOTEL, followed by CREEP. The Lauras steal with DRAWN. Ellen & John take the draw back with FATTY and Lingo for the lead, 150-50.

"Laura squared" get an R to start their run. They RACED to the drum after getting 25 more... but Right Laura draws red to end the round trailing, 150-75.

Laura Laura starts this one with an S, but Ellen & John steal STORK for 50. But Ellen comes up with a stopper. They get the draw back with UPSET, then follow with TORSO and FLINT. Double Laura steals with LEMON for the Lingo, but it's not enough. By a score of 350-225, Ellen & John win!.

With two Bonus Lingo letters, Ellen & John get BRICK, SHARP, QUEEN, GRIPE, and VOTES for five $100 balls. But now it's about $21,000. The money ball is lucky #13. Ellen goes into the drum first and gets... 63. They get the $5000 on pull 3.

Tomorrow, it's about $22,000.

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire by Don Harpwood, GSNN

Air time:  Check listings or millionairetv.com
Host: Meredith Vieira
Yesterday, Claudia Shanaman (York, PA) had gotten to the $16,000 level. With no lifelines available heading into the next question, will she go any further?

Claudia could really use the money at this time; her husband is out of work at this point, and her daughter had been accepted to a college. So, hopefully, she can win a lot more. With that, the game resumes...

[$25,000]
Thought to be our solar system's tenth planet, the celestial body identified as 2003 UB313 has what TV-inspired nickname?
A: Xena
B: Picard
C: Xander
D: Mulder

Unfortunately, Claudia has no idea what it is, so she walks with $16,000. We then see that the answer was A.

Entering the hot seat now is Juliet Shields (Staten Island, NY). She's following in her father's footsteps career-wise, as she is a police officer. And she says it's fun. Maybe she'll find this fun as well, as Juliet starts by knowing that upon hitting middle age, many people suffer a period of emotional turmoil known as a "midlife crisis" (a "midlife wife swap" just seems weird to me). She sweeps the lower tier, then after a break during her run, it is mentioned that her brother, Tim Shields, was on the show a while ago (about 6 years ago, during the ABC run, actually), when he won $500,000! As I hope that she does at least as well as that, Juliet keeps going, and she soon faces this...

[$16,000]
What is the subject of the 2005 U.S. postage stamp series that features works by Frank Gehry and Richard Meier?
A: Fashion design
B: Painting
C: Architecture
D: Photography

Juliet asks the audience, and both polls favour C (64% of the studio audience; 50% of the AIM users). Juliet trusts them... and they're right! Moving on...

[$25,000]
In the ubiquitous series of TV ads, who provides the voice for the pesky duck who shouts "AFLAC"?
A: Robin Williams
B: Gilbert Gottfried
C: Howie Mandel
D: Rob Schneider

The 50:50 leaves B and C. Juliet is thinking B, but she's not sure enough. So, who does she call? Tim, of course! And after a bit of thought, Tim says B. So, Juliet goes with B... and she has $25,000! On to the upper tier...

[$50,000]
Located on the plains of New Mexico, the Very Large Array is what type of government-run technical facility?
A: Particle accelerator
B: Supercomputing center
C: Missile testing range
D: Radio observatory

Juliet has no idea, so she switches it out. After seeing that it was D, this pops up...

[$50,000] (Q)
Official rules of conduct forbid U.S. senators from accepting gifts from lobbyists that exceed what value?
A: $20
B: $50
C: $150
D: $250

It's a free guess, so Juliet says A... but it's B! Well, though she didn't do as well as her brother, $25,000 is still a good amount to take home!

Next up is Joshua Lee (Minneapolis, MN). He comes from a family of trivia nuts, but though the family auditioned, he's the only one that got through to this point. Hopefully, he can prove that he knows enough trivia to go all the way through his 15-question stack... Joshua starts by knowing that in the classic 1931 film "Frankenstein," Dr. Frankenstein, as he marvels at his creation, famously yells "It's alive!" As he moves along the lower tier, he gets to this...

[$500]
A common cooking ingredient, lard is made from what part of a pig?
A: Fat
B: Muscle
C: Tendon
D: Hide

Joshua isn't completely sure, so he asks the audience, and both polls really come through, favouring A (97%; 91%). Joshua mentions that C (0%; 4%) had thrown him off at first, but he trusts the audience... and they're right!

That will do it for today. Joshua will be back tomorrow for more.
