Ex-Husbands
(Brian, Otis, Tim, Mark, Louis); two games, $2500 |
|
Ex-Wives (Patti,
Debra, Pam, Ashley, Andrea); two games, $25,000 |
We know the women will
get more money from this week, but this is to see who's
the better Feud team...
Round 1:
a topic of conversation that wives bore their husbands
with (7). Brian gets #3, shopping. Louis goes with
friends... count it, gossip's #1. The guys also get
children and how their day went. The Ex-Wives go with
"feelings about relationship"... Not there! The
Ex-Husbands get 55. Other answers: bills/money,
work/job, food/cooking.
Round 2: a kind of
repairman who might be more tempted to cheat a woman
than a man (5). Louis fires with a mechanic, number one.
The rest of the team gets plumber and refrigerator. The
ladies try for the steal with... the electrician.. Not
there! The guys are up to 132. Other answer:
carpenter/roofer, washing machine.
Double Round: a kind of
place where you can be sure you can see parents yelling
at their kids (5). Mark gets #5, at home. Tim tries
grocery store... Number one! They also get sports game.
The ladies try again with in the car... No! The guys are
up to 220! Other answers: mall, restaurant.
Triple Round: something
people ride that causes them to throw up (4). Pam gets
number one with the rollercoaster. They get a car, but
that's it. The guys have one more shot with a boat...
Men win, 418-0. Other answer: Ferris wheel.
It's Louis and Mark vs.
the Fast Money board one more time... Mark scores for
"age where someone might have a mid-life crisis" (40)
and "an animal that magicians use in their act" (rabbit)
for 160. Can Louis seal the deal? He does with "a fruit
smaller than a peach" (plum) for the win and $22,500 for
the week.
Next week, winner takes
all in Family Feud's annual Tournament of Champions. |

Mandel Ilagan get an
extra-long pan in the opening... I think it's because
he's in the Fremantle pocket. They get all the good
seats... :) But the BEST seats in the house go to
Lindsay Schwander, Suzanne Duck, Kevin Higar, and Brenda
Schenck. Kevin gets an upgrade to a seat on a folding
boat with $1495. He'd rather have a seat in a Jeep
Wrangler, and he can get that seat if he wins Lucky
Seven. The first number... 1. First pick... 7. Two bucks
gone. Second: 6. There go another two. Third: 2. Another
dollar gone. He can miss this by one and still win.
Final pick... 5. It's 4! And he's driving back to Dallas
in a $19,834 Jeep!
And down and up in Kevin's space is Kelli Wheeler, who
wins an $1816 lounge chair, and I betcha she'll love to
lounge around in $10,000. She can win that in 1/2 Off.
First pair: a telephone at $40 and an iron at $24. She
thinks the phone is half off... and it is! Next up: a
knife sharpener at $50 and a hair dryer at $26. She
thinks the sharpener is half off... and it is! Finally:
a radio at $30 and a digital compass at $20. She goes
for the compass... and she's got two boxes left, 3 and
8! She picks 3.... and she should've picked 8.
The blue spot is the
sweet spot as Fred Williams wins a $1400
navigation/entertainment system for his car... and $500
for getting it exactly right! But can he win golf
equipment, a dinette, four girls' guitars, and picnic
equipment? The game is Danger Price, and the Danger
Price is $500. He goes for the golf equipment... $799.
Next: the picnic equipment... $500. He strikes out, but
he'll be back later in the Showcase.
Back to business. Brenda,
who defaced some Napoleon Dynamite swag just for the
show (her shirt says "Vote for Pedro
Bob"), wins a trampoline system worth $1495. Time for a
trip to New York City! The Double Prices are $5021 and
$4191. She goes for the former... and she's going up
Block's way! And we're going to commercial...
Again, TPIR MDS at 8p ET
Tuesday (unless you're like me and you live in the RDU
area, then it airs at approximately 2:07a that morning).
Aviram Almogue won't be playing for $1 million, but
he'll win some $628 dinnerware (C-Note: He was only
three bucks off). He steps to the Card Game table for a
Chevy Impala. The margin of error: $2000. He draws an
ace in two to bid $18,000. Actual price: $21,990. He's
$3990 off.
Last chance for Suzanne
and Lindsay. The prize: power tools. The price: $676.
The winner:... Suzanne! She Picks-a-Pair for a spa worth
$8995. The products: Alka-Seltzer, Marie Callender's
Fettuccine Alfredo, Theragesic, Airborne, Clorox bleach
pen, and Energizer hearing aid batteries. Suzanne takes
the fettuccine. That's $2.99. She tries to match with
the Airborne... that's $6.99. She keeps the pasta and
goes with the bleach pen... $2.99! And that's not all!
She gets the dollar in one spin to win $1000! But that's
all she gets until Showcase Time...
... Wow that was fast.
First, a visit from Bernadine the Botanist, who
discovers trees for a motorscooter, a jukebox, and a
travel trailer. Top winner Suzanne passes to Fred, who
bids $16,250. Suzanne gets a grandfather clock, a living
room with carpeting, and a vacation in Scotland. She
bids $18,750. Actual price: $20,192, a difference of
$1442. Fred's actual price: $32,764. Off by a mile.
Suzanne wins this day with $30,903 in cash and prizes.
Stats: even, $63,472. |

It's the last day of Walk In
and Win Week at Walt Disney World, and Lisa
McDermott-Perez (West Palm Beach, FL) is at $2,000,
hoping to make more...
[And of course, Mickey Mouse is back to help finish the
week.]
Lisa is excited, and so is her oldest daughter, because
if she wins the million bucks, she is taking her
daughter shopping on Rodeo Drive. Anyway, the game
resumes, and she soon faces this...
[$8,000]
Birds are classified as oviparous animals because they
do what?
A: Build nests
B: Lay eggs
C: Have wings
D: Migrate annually
Lisa decides to call her good friend Tony, who says B,
but isn't sure. Lisa goes with B anyway... and it's B!
Next question...
[$16,000]
What 2005 movie's U.K. version was cut by eight minutes
to edit out the sappy ending between Elizabeth and Mr.
Darcy?
A: The 40-Year-Old Virgin
B: Mr. and Mrs. Smith
C: The Constant Gardener
D: Pride and Prejudice
The 50:50 leaves B and D. Lisa then says D... and she's
right! She then reaches $25,000, before getting to this
one...
[$50,000]
The reflective surface of a CD usually consists of an
extremely thin layer of what metal?
A: Aluminum
B: Steel
C: Chromium
D: Tin
Lisa decides to switch the question. They reveal the
answer to be A, before bringing in this...
[$50,000] (Q)
The first thirteen games of the ancient Olympics
featured what sole event?
A: Footrace
B: Chariot race
C: Archery
D: Discus
[Figures that we'd see an Olympic question at this
time...]
After a reminder that this is a free guess, Lisa says
she's torn between 2 of them. She then goes with D...
but it's A! Well, at least she and her daughter could
head to Rodeo Drive with $25,000!
One more number coming, and it is 128. This brings down
John Bottiger (Winter Haven, FL), and he is excited and
ready to go. So they get going, and John knows that the
World Sauna Championships, held in Finland, tests your
ability to withstand high temperatures (though
withstanding old men in towels could be considered a
bigger challenge). He gets through to $1,000, then after
a break, Meredith gives John a hat to wear. The hat
appears to be inspired by the Disney movie Fantasia (not
to be confused with the American Idol Season 3 winner).
With that taken care of, they continue on...
[$2,000]
On the official Web site of "The Muppets," who keeps a
blog entitled "Sow and the City"?
A: Kermit
B: Fozzie
C: Miss Piggy
D: Gonzo
John asks the audience. 89% of the studio audience and
66% of the AIM users say C. John trusts them... and
they're right! Moving on...
[$4,000]
On what TV series do the judges regularly accuse the
contestants of being "pitchy"?
A: Dancing with the Stars
B: American Idol
C: America's Next Top Model
D: Project Runway
[I bet Gordon would know this one immediately.]
John doesn't watch much of these shows, so he uses the
50:50, leaving B and D. He's leaning towards one of
them, but he's still not sure about risking it, so he
then calls his brother-in-law Chip. Chip doesn't know,
but thinks it's B. John was also leaning towards B, so
he goes for it... and yes, it's B! (I bet Gordon
breathed a sigh of relief after that.) After the break,
Meredith puts on a hat similar to what John is wearing,
then they continue. Soon, John reaches this...
[$16,000]
A rich sauce used in Mexican cuisine, mole most commonly
features which of these ingredients?
A: Chocolate
B: Coconut
C: Cornmeal
D: Honey
John enjoys Mexican food, but hasn't had much mole
(pronounced "mo-lay"). So, not sure of this, he walks.
He'd have said B, but it was A, so it's a good thing he
chose to walk with $8,000!
And that'll do it for Walk In and Win Week for this
season. Another theme week is coming on February 20
(Million Dollar Movie Week), but before that, the
regular run will continue on Monday. |
