Kimbell
(Connie, Jenny, Karolin, Joann, Candice); $20,755,
two days |
|
Naeim (Behnaz,
Arash, Beata, Behnoosh, Mike) |
As the Kimbells prepare
for their third match, we say congrats to the Feud for
picking up an eighth season! As for today, apparently
FremantleMedia believes a Feud is better when you gather
'round the good stuff, as we have another Pizza
Hut-sponsored guerre des clans...
Round 1:
something you want to know about a movie before you go
see it (7). Behnaz fires with the rating... Number one!
The rest of the Naeims get who's in it, the reviews, the
story, the director, how long it is, and... what time
does it start? The Kimbells hope so... Not there! The
Naeims get 97! Other answer: violent.
Round 2: something you'd
have at a Hawaiian theme party (6). Arash jumps in
headlong with a luau... Number one answer! Leis, hula
girls, drinks, grass skirts, and... the Kimbells hope
it's music... Got it for 88!
We've got a nine-point
Feud on our hands.... Pizza break! Pizza break over!
Double Round: something
department stores don't allow you to do (full board).
Beata says eat/drink... number 2. We're not fooling.
Mike gets #3, steal. Arah gets #4, trying on the
underwear. The Kimbells try "running through the store"
for the steal... No! The Naeims get 197! Number one:
smoke. Other answer: undress in aisles, open things.
Triple Round: something
people have a hard time holding onto (4). Joann
gets #1, money. That's all they get, but it's enough to
win for either family. The Naeims get one last shot with
"words". Not there! The Kimbells win, 319-197! Other
answers: relationships, jobs, animals.
Connie and Candice get
some good answers in, but alas, it's not enough. 171
means another $855, a three-day total of $21,610. And
just for getting this far, how about a Pizza Hut gift
card? Hyper actor-in-training not included.
Next week, ten players
are inducted into the Family Feud Ex-Spouses' Club. It's
another Battle of the Divorced Couples week. |

Eleanor Ainslie
(medical student from Philadelphia); $41,400, three
days |
|
Jennifer Kelly
(college instructor from Madison, AL) |
|
Jared Poppel
(consultant from Bellevue, WA) |
Twenty-four hours after
sharing the title with someone, Eleanor has it all by
her lonesome as she faces two new challengers.
Remember, today's champ will have a two-week sabbatical
as the teens take over for the next fortnight.
Eleanor starts with $200
NBA Teams in Other Words, but it's Jared who finds its
Daily Double under $1000. Tied at $600, he risks $1000
on "the King Charles I supporters." "Who are the
Cavaliers?" Right for $1600! He parlays that into a lead
of $6200 at the half to Eleanor's $5800. Jennifer, with
a close $4200, starts Double Jeopardy!...
... with $400 Spielberg
Movies by Quote. Jared, out to an astonishing lead, gets
the first Daily Double under $800 World Authors and bets
$1000 on this: Turgenev regarded this author of "The
Cossacks" as the "Great Author of the Russian Land."
"Who is Dostoyevsky?" Nope, it was Tolstoy, bumping him
back to $13,600. Jennifer finds the second Daily Double
under $1200 Royalty & Ballet. Running out of clues and
time, she too only bets $1000 on the king who founded
the Academie Royale de Danse. "Who is Louis XIV?" Right
on for $6800. She ends in second with $8800 to Eleanor's
$8600. Meanwhile, it's Jared's game to lose with
$19,600.
Final Jeopardy!
in "Notable Women": in 1967, Dame Cicely
Saunders founded St. Christopher's, the first modern one
of these; in 2005 she died there. Correct
question: What is a hospice?
No one gets it right, and
worse off for Eleanor, it cost her everything. It's the
end of the road for her as she leaves with $42,400.
Meanwhile, Jared only bets four bills to win with
$19,200. He'll be back in two weeks, but next week, we
move over to GSNN Primes for 2006 Teen Tournament
coverage, where anything happen. Heck, the last winner
of one of these babies, Michael Braun, wound up playing
for $2 million in the UTOC... Unfortunately he didn't
get past the first round. |

The
Price is Right by Chico Alexander, GSNN
Air time: 11a ET/10a CT on CBS
(markets may vary)
Host: Bob Barker |

|
Remember, Monday's the debut
of the new pricing game!
Today is the debut of
Suzanne Chavez, Josephine Moore, Rebecca Wright, and
Sarah Wayne. Together, these ladies have a shot at a
fridge/freezer. It costs $1349. It goes to Josephine.
She'd like to strap that thing onto the back of two
offroaders, but it's too big. And lucky for us, we have
the only person in the house who can play Check Game
(and the other 69 games to boot)! She writes her check
out for $2250. Actual price of the motorcycles: $4188.
Total: $6438. The only person who can play the Check
Game, and she loses...
Maybe Sarah can brighten
the mood up as she wins a $1094 home theatre system. But
she'd rather have a Ford Focus! She'll win that... OR an
Armani sculpture... OR the contents of Bob's piggy bank.
After the 5, 6, 8, 9, 2, 3, and 7, we're down to the
final pick among the car ($16,_32), the sculpture
($85_), and the piggy bank ($7._9). She goes with 4....
And she wins the car! It's $16,432.
Rebecca Makes Her Move to
the stage after winning a $632 set of books. But can she
Make Her Move for a jewelry box, cookware, and an HDTV?
The lineup: 5 0 5 6 0 6 1 9 8. She thinks the jewelry
box is $50, the cookware is $198, and the HDTV is
$5606.. She wanted to rethink that... Then she didn't.
She should've rethought that. The HDTV was actually
$6198 and the cookware, $560. She loses the game and her
place in the Showcase to Josephine.
Suzanne starts the second
half of play with an $1195 three-stone pendant (C-Note:
remember, this Valentine's Day, say "I forever do"). She
gets to play the Poker Game for a crystal aperitif set,
a gumball machine, a dinette, and luggage. Suzanne
starts with the dinette worth $833. She follows with the
gumball machine worth $999. That gives her what we call
at the 'Net nines full of treys. She keeps it. The
aperitif set is also $999. But the luggage was $580.
Full boat beats three nines for the win! Incidentally,
had she gone for the gumball machine and the aperitif
set, she would've had the highest hand possible, five
nines.
Charles Bumbard, a sailor
in the US Navy, gets to Pass the Buck after winning a
$1063 set of dumbbells. The reward for passing
successfully: a Chevrolet HHR! And maybe a little
cash... First pair: Glad Press'n Seal at $2.99 and
Energizer hearing-aid batteries at $7.99. He passes
left... Wrong. Next up: Hot Pockets at $2.29, and Tums
Smoothies at $2.99. He passes right, and right he is. So
with his two picks, he gets $3000 and the CAR!
Nora Meyers gets a
three-in-one game table worth $669, and a chance at a
trip to Acapulco worth... well, that's to be determined
as we play Freeze Frame. She freezes the Frame at
$5210... Wrong. Had she waited two more clicks, she
would've gotten the prize. It was $3540. But don't cry
for her, as her 60c score is good enough to get her into
the Showcase.
First up: a new bedroom
with sleep set, camping equipment, and an ATV. Top
winner Josephine passes to Nora, who bids $14,900.
Josephine, meanwhile, gets to have a ball with a
basketball hoop, another ball with a CD jukebox, and
another ball with a ski boat! Her bid: $28,000. Actual
price: $29,184, only $1184 from her bid. Actual price if
Nora's Showcase: $17,877, a difference of $2977. Close,
but it's all about Josephine, who wins $30,533.
Stats: even, $75,059. |

Last time, Carla Gilruth
(Montclair, NJ) needed a couple of lifelines, but she
made it to $16,000. How much farther will she go this
time?
The home that Carla lives in is her husband Dave's
childhood home. It is 100 years old, and could use some
work, since things keep falling apart there. The $16,000
could go towards plenty of work on the house, but more
would really come in handy. So, the game resumes, and
she easily secures $25,000! Going into the upper tier,
now...
[$50,000]
Invented in the 18th century, an orrery is a mechanical

Carla calls her brother-in-law Leon, who doesn't know,
but guesses C. With nothing to lose here, Carla goes
with C... but it's B! Well, at least she has $25,000!
Bounding onto the set now is Steve Sterner (New York,
NY). He actually auditioned for the show last year; he
took the test, was interviewed, and was rejected. But
one day, on his way to a different type of audition
(he's an actor), he suddenly decided to try again. He
went through another test and another interview, and
now, here he is! And Steve starts by knowing that the
mechanical device commonly said to make the sound
"vroom, vroom" is a car's engine. He soon gets the
$1,000, then after a break, he recalls his appearance on
another show, Wheel of Fortune. He even shows how he
reached for the wheel to spin it! No wheels here,
though; just questions, and he goes through another
couple of 'em before reaching this...
