TOURNAMENT 2
EPISODE 2

It's time once again for another round of the second tournament of CELEBRITY POKER SHOWDOWN, the charity tournament with BIG stakes!  There will be five games of five celebs each, with the winner of each game advancing to the Final Table and a big piece of the $250,000 Cingular Wireless(TM) Prize Pool for his/her charity.

Tonight, two return from the first tournament to try again against three newbies:

CELEBRITY BIO

Timothy Busfield
playing for the Malibu High School - Shark Fund
After choking at the West Wing table of the first tournament, Timothy is back.  Will the man who plays press writer Danny Concannon on the NBC drama get sweet revenge...or will he once again be written out early?

Mo Gaffney
playing for Planned Parenthood Federation
Another returning loser from last season, this comedienne and semi-regular on That '70s Show has returned.  Will she have Run of the House this time, or will her performance be anything BUT Absolutely Fabulous?

Dule Hill
playing for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
Aside from being Presidential Aide Charlie Young on The West Wing, Dule was also in the NBC disaster (or is it "disastrous") mini-series "10.5".  Will he get the help he needs to win or will the table shake him up too much?

Danny Masterson
playing for Citizen's Commission on Human Rights
For years now, Danny's played Steven Hyde on one of FOX's few GOOD shows, That '70s Show.  Will he get the "boogie fever" with his cards or will he be out faster than disco in 1980?

James Woods
playing for the American Stroke Association
A veteran actor of many films including "Contact", "Any Given Sunday", Disney's "Hercules" and "Scary Movie 2", will this self-proclaimed "ace" get some of them tonight or is that "Against All Odds"?

Each celebrity will start with $10,000 worth of chips and the game will continue until one celebrity has all $50K in his/her possession, thus making him/her eligible for the Final Table later in the year.  At the announcers' position beside the Losers' Lounge are new host Dave Foley and poker expert Phil Gordon.  They'll be calling the action emanating from the main room.

All right, enough of this.  As Tournament Director Robert Thompson says. let's SHUFFLE UP AND DEAL!

Initial blinds are $100 (SB) and $200 (BB).  The Dealer Button (D) starts on Dule.

Here, James asks Danny if he wants to split the pot evenly.  But Robert Thomspon says, "We don't chop here."  "Chop" means to split the pot before the hand ends.  In tournament poker, you have to see each hand out; you can't offer to draw like in chess.

The most educated poker player at the table sulks back to join his "little loser buddies".  He bemoans the fact that he blew that full house when Timothy was knocked out...but, deep down, he still thinks he made the right play there...as does Phil Gordon.  So, while the American Stroke Association gets $5000 into their account (and Mo teaches Timothy and James how to juggle), it's down to HEADS-UP between the West Winger and the "throwback" actor.  So let's SHUFFLE UP AND DEAL!
