Week Eight - October 23-24

(C-Note: As always, what follows are televised-hand-by-televised-hand accounts.  Obviously, since it's only an hour show, most hands are not televised so you're going to see a lot of jumping of the dealer button. Co-hosting with Mr. Toga himself Chad Brown is Clonie Gowen (give me someone that I know)

Players: Andrew Bloch/Max Pescatori/Steven Simmons (current Point Leader)/Eli Bolles/Evelyn Ng/Nicholas Boueyn (He won before)/Kristy Gazes

Trip to Bahamas and a portable DVD player on the line along with the cash tonight.

Hand 1. Evelyn Raises to $1,500 with a AK, Andrew goes all in with J-J, Evelyn calls. 5-8-3 on the flop, 6 on the turn and an 8 on the river gets Andrew to double up.

Hand 2. A-Q suited gets a $1,200 bet from Andrew, Nick goes all in with pocket kings, Andrew calls, J-9-Q on the flop, 9 on the turn, J on the river and Nick doubles up.

Hand 3. Nick bets $1,200 with A-A, Eli Calls with A-J. With a 2-J-Q, Eli goes all in with nick calling. With a 9 on the turn and a miracle J on the river, Eli doubles up. This must be the doubles episode of Ultimate Poker Challenge.

Hand 4. Max bets $1,400 with 3-3, Evelyn with A-K goes all in and Max quickly calls. With a 7-8-5 on the flop, 6 on the turn and a 6 on the river. Evelyn goes home in 7th place.

Hand 5. Steve goes all in with a 7-A, Nick Calls with pocket Queens. With a 7-8-2 on the flop, A on the turn and a 4 in the river. Steve gets to stay in the game and doubles up.

Hand 6. Eli goes all in with A-Q, Andrew calls with 9-J. with 3-6-8 on the flop, a 10 on the turn and the winning 9 on the river, Eli goes home in 6th place.

Hand 7. Andrew raises to $1,800 with a K-Q, Steve calls with A-J. With 3-Q-J on the flop, Andrew raises to $4,000 and Steven goes all in. With a A on the turn and a lowly 6 on the river, Steven doubles up.

Hand 8. Kristy finally gets into the game with a $2,000 bet and a pair of Jacks. Nick goes all in with a A-8, and Kristy calls. With 2-K-2 on the flop, a 5 on the turn and a 9 on the river. Nick gets Nixed in 5th place.

Hand 9. Max raises to $2,100 with K-7 suited, Steve calls with A-Q. With a 2-Q-7 on the flop, Max bets $2,000, but Steve goes all in. Max calls when a 4 on the turn and a 3 on the river, Steve marches on and doubles up.

Hand 10. Kristy raises to $2,000 with K-3 with Andrew and Steven calling with Andrew going all in with 9-K suited and Steve who didn't have a chance with a 8-10. With a 9-8-9 on the flop, a K on the turn and a 6 on the river, Andrew triples up.

Hand 11. Kristy bets $1,900 with a J-9 suited, but Andrew goes all in with 3-3 with Kristy calling. With a K-2-J on the flop, 2 on the turn and a 5 on the river sends Andrew home.

Hand 12. Kristy bets $2,300 with pocket 9's with Max calling with K-J suited. With A-Q-5 on the flop, K on the turn, and an 8 on the river, Max wins the pot.

Hand 13. Max calls with K-4, Steve sees a free flop with J-8. When a 7-9-3 on the flop, K on the turn, and a 10 on the river. Max bets $1,300 but Steven raises with $3,000 and forcing max to fold.

Hand 14. Steve raises to $2,300 with 10-J, Kristy calls with A-Q suited. Max goes all in with A-10, Steven folds but Kristy calls. with a 3-5-6 on the flop and a Q on the turn, max had no chance and goes bye bye.

HEADS UP: STEVEN SIMMONS VS. KRISTY GAZES

Hand 15. Kristy raises to $3,800 with a K-J, Steven raises to $7,000 with a Q-7. Kristy forces Steven all in and Steven calls. When a 4-9-5 on the flop and a Q on the turn, Steven has to avoid a King and does with a 3 on the river and doubles up.

Hand 16. Steve calls with an 8-K, Kristy raises to $3,000 with a 7-8. Steven calls. With a 3-4-5 on the flop, 7 on the turn, Kristy bets $4,500, Steven calls with a K on the river and Steve goes for 2-2 in Heads up play.

Hand 17. Kristy raises to $4,300 with a Q-8. Steve calls with a Q-J. When a 8-9-J on the flop, Kristy bets $8,500, but Steven goes all in, Kristy unfortunately called. when a 4 on the turn and a Q on the river, Steven is on a Hot Streak and doubles up.

Hand 18. Kristy raises to $4,000 with Q-6, Steven calls with 8-10. When a Q-7-9 on the flop happens. Kristy bets $10,000 but Steve calls with a 4 turning up on the turn. Kristy thinks it's time to go all in, Steven calls and gets a miracle J on the river to win the game.

Steven joins Nicholas Bouyen, Erik Seidel (Not related to me), Andy Bloch, James Van Alstyne, Ken James, Kahty Liebert and David Luttbeg to the Semis. He gets the trip to the Bahamas and a portable DVD player.
