Round of 15
March 23
(C-NOTE: the following
program contains challenges that have been designed, choreographed, and
supervised by professionals. They are extremely dangerous and should
NEVER be attempted by anyone, anywhere, at any time. Viewer discretion
is advised)
Last week, the teams were
set, and with a bit of tragedy on the part of Mike Chiesa, we had our
first fight toward the Ultimate Finale. James Vick of Team Cruz shocked
the rest of the team with his KO victory over Daron Cruickshank. With
that win comes $5000 and the next fight card.

It'll be JUSTIN LAWRENCE
from Team Cruz vs. CRISTIANO MARCELLO from Team Faber. It's the youngest
vs. the oldest. And all anyone can talk about was the way this fight
turned out. No one volunteered from Team Faber... AFTER Team Cruz gave
up control. Do you give up your sacrificial lamb? Do you put up your top
fighter? Nope, nothing happened. But John wants to see it happen just so
he can see who offers themselves. But Faber's team decides to rally
around the Brazilian jujitsu master.
Back at the house, no one
knows what's going through Tickle's head. We can tell you, "Who's ready
to bang? ... NO HANDS! NO HANDS!"
The next day, Tickle is
wearing a gas mask. And no one knows why. Tickle's moving Faber's
parking sign... and no one knows why. He ends up snapping the thing in
half. And again... no one knows why.
Let's learn about the
fighter. Justin Lawrence was born and raised in a gym. He has been
wrestling since third grade, fighting since sixth. He says that his
strength is in his fighting. It's not going to be easy beating Marcello,
but it's going to be a battle. At stake, reputation. Lawrence can win
this fight, he can earn the respect of his team and the fear of the
others.
Meanwhile, Tickle is
being... well, from what we know about Tickle, he's being Tickle, taking
a long time to get ready and no really feeling the training. Cruz has to
motivate him to get off his rear and get into gear. He says he's been
training for the last five years for this fight. We'll see...
Cristiano Marcello fights
out of Brazil. He says he breathes and eats jiu-jitsu. He got his belt
in 1989 from the Gracie family, who founded jiu-jitsu. He says that his
fight will be old school vs. new school. He believes in fighting a dirty
fight. He's crazy. Lawrence wants to fight a smart fight. Which of the
approaches is going to take the game?
And remember when Tickle put
Faber's sign in the TC? Well, Team Faber has a trick up its sleeve as
well. With a few well-placed pieces of black duct tape, Cruz becomes
Count Dracula. Outside, Team Faber are giving Tickle the business, and
Tickle... is giving it right back. Tickle tells Cofer to stop being a
smart-ass. "I'm gonna (^_^) you up." That was random. Cofer would LOVE
to talk it out in the Octagon.
We are 19 minutes away from
fight night. Meanwhile, we're back to train. The focus: takedowns.
Justin's a wrestler so it should be easy. Marcello is a jiu-jitsu
fighter. A little more difficult. Cruz says that Justin could be a
champion.
And remember the Count Cruz
picture? Team Cruz counters by putting a thong on Faber's butt-chin.
Faber's last laugh... the Hitler moustache on Cruz's profile.
Wednesday night, Justin is
playing the fight out in his mind. Stick to the game plan, and he's
going to come out a winner. Cristiano concentrates on his family, hidden
strength he gets in the clutch.

Now the LEGAL....
- Three judges score the
bout
- Each fight is two five minute rounds. In the event of a draw, an
additional third round will be fought.
- Winner gets 10 points, his opponent 9 or less based on effective
striking, grappling, aggression, and octagon control
FIGHT 2:
Justin Lawrence (St. Louis) vs. Cristiano Marcello (Rio De
Janeiro, BRZ)
ROUND 1: Lawrence with the
first attack, right cross to Marcello's face. He misses the next few
hits. He makes it up with a good combo move. And it turns into a running
match after a bit. Lawrence gets Marcello down from a kick to the side,
but he's back up. Round ends with two roundhouses.
ROUND 2: Marcello has
Lawrence against the cage, but Lawrence breaks free. A lot of air
between the fighters... but here comes the knockout blow as Marcello's
getting tired. Quick left jab to the face.. .and that's it! WINNER:
LAWRENCE (KO, 3:15 in round 2).
So Justin Lawrence wins
$5000 and Team Cruz wins the pick for Fight #3... Next week, it'll be
... MYLES JURY of Team Cruz taking on AL IAQUINTA of Team Faber. Stay
with the fights.
