Round
of 14 (or "A Swingin' Bubble Safari")
August 15
After 2 weeks of Olympic action, we
decide to come back strong and be strong as the top 14 relive your
favorite routines. It'll be hard, but they'll take their chances in
hopes of being in the top 10. Let's begin.
Joining teh judges are ballet dancers Michael Nunn and Billy Trevitt and
we've just heard that Nappytabs have a new baby. Isn't that sweet?
After a group routine, we begin with Cyrus & Eilana recreating teh Katie
& Twitch group routine involving a door, and it's a door of a different
kind.
What Nigel said: Cyrus was twitching himself.
What I said: Cyrus nailed it!
Before we get to our next couple, National Dance Day swept the nation,
especially teh whole SYTYCD family out in a Los Angeles park somewhere.
Now couple #2 must take teh stage. George & Tiffany receated teh
"Hometown Glory" routine.
What Nigel said: It was absoluetly tremendous.
What I said: They are on fire!
Next is Amelia & Will recreating Randy & Evans.....butt dance.....I
don't know why they picked it, but they did.
What Nigel said: It was so different.
What I said: I think it was weird....but I liked it.
Jan & Dareian recreated a bed routine done by Mia Michels. In case you
haven't noticed, almost all of the routines tonight are done by her.
What Billy said: They are responsible for great movement.
What I said: I believe they moved pretty well.
And next is Audrey & Matthew recreating a "Time" routine. When it was
time, we thought it was a letdown to both.
What I said: Um, guys, why is it hard to reacreate that?
Witney & Chehon look to recreate the award-winning, and I say that with
feeling, award-winning bench routine done by Celine Dion. Need I say
more?
What I said: Not even close to the original.
Time to wrap it up with Lindsay & Cole doing a recreation to the
addiction routine done by Sara Bareilles.
What I said: That was pretty nicer.
ANd the 6 victims headed to the solo round are...Amelia, Janelle,
Lindsey, George, Dareian and Matthew. Brace Yourself.
SOLO ROUND
Ameila went up first and did contemporary to "Falling Slowly" from
"Once," Janelle doing a little belly dancing for you guys and next came
Lindsey doing a samba. George, Dareian and Matthew all did contemporary
solos. But we save 2 people to make the top 10 and they
are.......Lindsey and...............George. The other 4 are gone.
SO to wrap it up, it was Mia Michaels Appreciation day. Everybody was
remaking their routines and we're all proud of that, but what's more
prouder is teh top 10 performing and being on tour. Next week, we get
closer to being in the top 8. We will see you later.
