Round of 6 (or "Enter the 33 1/3 Chambers of Elimination")
July 21

Can you believe it's the 150th episode of "So You Think You Can Dance?"

Of course it is. It's been 5 summer seasons, 1 fall season and 1 that hasn't been done yet. And we get to celebrate it in style. Unfortunately for Billy Bell, the injury bug bit him on the knee, so it'll be goners to the bottom 3 tomorrow, but for the rest, it'll be a free for all. Let's go!

Kenny Ortega of "High School Musical" fame gets to guest judge for the show, and we start out with Lauren pairing up with Twitch to do hip-hop to "My Chick Bad" by Ludacris w/ Nicki Minaj. In it, it was a wild-west themed routine with Twitch becoming the horse to Lauren. Giddyup!

What Kenny said: You have enough energy to power up Los Angeles.
What I said: They nail the light switches on that one.

Allison & Jose will dance contemporary to the theme from "Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind." The reason why this dance was made, it was on the edge of the stage, because it tells about a couple on the brink of relationship. Pretty insane concept.

What Mia said: It was pedestrian contemporary.
What I said: It was the DIY-type of dance that was executed. Good job for them.

Next up, Robert & Lauren doing contemporary jazz to "Wasted Life" by My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult. I do not know why I liked this dance, but it was pretty perfect for it.

What Adam said: You guys were smokin'!
What I said: Toasty for both!

Next came another jazz piece, this time from Kent & Kathryn dancing to "Tightrope" by Janelle Monae. It was fast-paced the way it used to be in the 60's. They were having fun doing it.

What Adam said: Kent kicked butt!
What I said: Kent put the nail in the coffin on that.

To end the first period, Adechike & Comfort will dance to "Fallin'" by Alicia Keys. Comfort packed her red suitcase and danced once it closed. They even did some moves out on the floor. By the end, a slap in the face and a walk out by Comfort left Adechike standing.

What Mia said: He has a big taste of what he does.
What I said: That was pretty emotional for the time being.

Okay dancers, pair up against each other. To start off, Robert & Lauren will samba to "Drummer Boy" by Debi Nova....yes, the same song I mentioned earlier in a previous recap, but it's remixed for the show. It's a beach party like TGI Friday's used to do so fat this summer. They dancing as if they're at a luau.

What Mia said: Robert actually looked like a samba dancer.
What I said: It's so nice to have an inexperienced ballroom dancer do his thing.

Adechike & Jose will experiment in what would become, and it will be the last time this show would have it, a paso doble to a song by James Dooley. Had the girls not been eliminated on this show, it would've worked, but having 2 men doing a paso dbole doesn't work. DWTS always has a man & a woman. That's all I'm saying. As for the dance, it didn't have spark in the sparkplug.

What Nigel said: I find it lacking.
What I said: I think there wasn't enough passion & attack.

And to end the 2nd period, Kent & Twitch, who'll pitch hit for Billy, will do the first-ever Step to "Pro Nails" by Kid Sister. By the time you see this, it was pure quality stepping as if you saw "Stomp The Yard."

What Kenny said: Awesome!
What I said: Excellent!

In between all this, there were solos. 4 of them were contemporary from Adechike, Lauren, Kent and Lauren while Jose did breakdancing. 150 down, and many more to go. Billy Bell might've gotten rung, but will it be the stroke of midnight for this dancer? You'll see in the results show tomorrow. Happy 150th, everyone!
