Round of 8 (or "The Great American Mashup")
July 7

A July 4th weekend may have come & gone, but on "Dance," we decided to up the ante. All 8 dancers will dance twice, and because they have 2 routines,it'll be much harder than you think.

Before we start the show, we have recieved a word that Alex Wong has suffered an injury and is therefore in the bottom 3 tomorrow night. Another injury bug also goes to All-star Allison. Her replacement is Katee Shean. WIth that said, let's begin.

Lauren will go first. Her first routine consisted of a cha-cha to "Telephone" by Lady Gaga with Pascha assisting. It ignited a lot of fire in the routine.

What Adam said: She had so much smoke & smoulder in her eyes.
What I said: She fired it!

Jose will partner with Lauren to do contemporary to "Never Tear us Apart" by INXS for his first routine. The dance started out on the floor, but it made the heat turn up for Jose later.

What Nigel said: He's the most beloved people on our show.
What I said: He's a good sign for him in the finale.

Kent & Comfort will dance hip-hop to "You're Not My Girl." Kent hung around the edge of the studio until Comfort came and joined them to dance. From there, it was the best routine out of them.

What Mia said: I wasn't mad at him, at all.
What I said: Kent rocked it hard!

Adechieke & Courtney will dance a jazz routine to "Is you Is or Is you Ain't my Baby?" It was in a bar setting and Adecheike danced on top of it and Courtney used a rag as a blindfold and waved at the camera. She later got on top of the bar and on the stools. Adechike however, outdanced herself.

What Mia said: It was very mediocre for me.
What I said: It was a bit tongue-in-cheek for the routine.

Katee will make her debut as she tag teams with Billy to do a Broadway routine to "Macavity: The Mystery Cat" from "Cats." BIlly kicked over Katee and both had kicks of their own. Although they weren't cats, they were acting like them.

What Adam said: It was his best dance with a partner to date.
What I said: It took me strength to find a replacement, and they did it. Nice work!

Ashley & Dominic will do hip-hop to "How Low" by Ludacris. Both are dressed as urban ninjas and they did weird hand work. By the end, they took a visit to the judges area. Hey! That's off-limits...nevermind.

What Mia said: She was hardcore.
What I said: SHe rocked it!

To end the half, Robert & Kathryn doing a jazz routine to "sinking Feeling" by Roison Murphy. They're life-size dolls from the toy store and after being stuck in boxes, they escape from them. However, they fell down and came out on both sides. Bob went through Kathryn with her arms as like London Bridge and they went back to being dolls at the end.

What Adam said: I thought that was stellar.
What I said: Weird, yet fun.

Alright, the all-star stuff is over. Time now to focus on the dancers and only the dancers as we kick things off with Adechike doing Bollywood. Replacing Alex is Mala Tejwani. It had some "African" moves to it, but they weren't hurting this fast-paced routine.

What Adam said: Just keep going and keep pushing through.
What I said: It was pretty great to see that.

Next is Lauren & Kent doing contemporary to "Collide" by Howie Day. Lauren did a split and Kent jumped over. Kent dragged her a little bit and the rest turned out to be top 2 material.

What Mia said: Lauren is the perfect female dancer.
What I said: They both rocked it!

Ashley & Robert are about to quickstep to "Man with The Hex" by The Atomic Fireballs. Robert was sitting on the throne and both were tangling with the stick until Robert put it up. They did a little swing and then comes the quickstep.

What Mia said: It was a really bad kiss.
What I said: They need to get on track next time.

And to end the program, Billy & Jose doing African jazz. I should probably tell me why in this routine, the "hunter" meets the "hunted," or is this a way to educate the children? What do you guys think?

What Adam said: Better luck next routine.
What I said: It was insane, but I didn't like the concept.

It's time for the show to go away. With Alex injured, will he be gone, and if not, is there an upset? You'll find out tomorrow on the results show.
