Not Sure Where I Stand

DAY 29: I FEEL LIKE CHICKEN TONIGHT

With the recent, ahem, departures of NaOnka and Purple Kelly (or should we say "Yellow Belly Kelly"), that leaves Sash on the outs of BOTH warring alliances (Chase, Holly & Jane vs. Dan, Benry & Fabio). But Sash does have an out in the Idol. "I still think the odds are in my favor to try and make a run for it, but it's going to be more difficult than what I thought." Meanwhile, the camp chicken gets a new name... KellyNay. Because they're both quitters and chickens to boot.

Back to the idol, though. Instead of being the leery outsider he thinks he is, Sash is about as valuable a commodity as LeBron was over last summer. You know, before he defected to the Miami Heat. That said, he goes to Chase, Benry, and Fabio with a plan to play the Idol at the next Tribal, admitting that the Idol is putting a target on his back. The plan is to show everyone that he is a free agent and he's willing to put his vote where his mouth is.

Chase is the first to jump on his offer, but Sash warns Chase about Jane playing under the radar. Again, the longer she stays in the game, the stronger she gets. Chase promises that Sash is next in line for a reward companionship.... right after he takes care of Holly.

Segue into...

R-CHALLENGE: SECOND CHANCE (an overnighter at a resort)

In the requisite challenge-born-of-previous-challenges, the tribesmen must first crawl under a commando net and retrieve a ball from a stack of hay. Bounce the ball off of a shield and into a barrel. First four to do so move on to stage 2. In stage 2, retrieve a key ring suspended on a metal spring. That will unlock a chest that contains four sandbags. First two to do so move onto the final stage, digging up three rope rings and tossing them on a hook board. The first to complete the triple play wins the reward.

"Survivors ready...GO!"

Chase, Jane, Benry and Holly move on to Stage 2... Chase & Benry finish after that.

The winner... CHASE! He gets to select a companion to go with him. He picks Holly, as he said he would.

Two's company... three's a party. Pick another. Chase then picks... JANE?! WHA?! Rebuttal from Sash? "Right now I could go either way. Chase knows I have an idol. So for him to make that risky of a move when he probably already has Jane's vote locked up is incredibly stupid."

Back at camp...

Fabio points out that Holly and Jane going to the challenge doesn't really change their game that much. In that spirit, Sash decides to side with the opposing faction of DanRyIo, though Dan is skeptical that he's just going through the motions for information. He knows that Sash has backstabbed Marty AND Brenda on two different occasions, and he is not about to become target #3. But at the same time, he has no other choice but to trust him.

At the lavish Tiki Hut o' Love, Jane takes a shower, while Chase takes a moment to reflect on his move to bring Jane here instead of Sash. They're going to gun for him and he knows it. So it's up to him to play damage control once they get back to camp.

Fabio and Benry talk about Sash at camp, about how his spurn may play into their game and assuring that the way to get Sash's favor is to keep him away from Jane. Doing so would further themselves in the game.

All this over a chicken dinner. A chicken named KellyNay...

DAY 30: CHICKEN LITTLE

... that Jane would come to mourn upon her return to camp.

While the outcasts from yesterday are at the beach talking, Holly gets nervous. Would they vote for her? Jane? Chase? Chase starts whipping up a plan, make Sash think that they still trust him, then tell him that Jane is the next target, taking him with Holly to the finals.

The Loathsome Foursome return to camp, and Benry asks around to see if his name was brought up. Chase tells him that he's cool and that he doesn't have anything to worry about, saying that they should vote Fabio out next. Just as long as it's not him.

Chase then apologizes to Sash about the reward. Sash understands, but asks Chase to take him to the finals (tickmark 1). Chase says okay. Holly adds her sentiments, saying that they should vote Benry or Fabio out depending on how the next Immunity falls. Speaking of, Benry picks up on Sash having an audience with the opposition. "I don’t trust Sash, but I have a pretty good relationship with mama Holly and Chase is my boy since day one, so we’ll see if I can end up confiding in them and creating myself a new alliance." Benry talks Sash, Chase, and Holly into voting out Fabio, but again reiterating that the longer Jane stays in the game, the more dangerous she gets.

I-CHALLENGE: GRAB YOUR SACK...

Each player is attached to a hitching post via a rope. On go, unspool your rope as far as you think you need to. Then race to a sack of gold and try to grab it. If you can, you move on to the final round. If not, you go back to the post and unspool some more. First three move on to the final phase, taking your gold and solving a puzzle. First one to put their treasure chest together wins.

WINNER: .... Among Fabio, Benry, and Sash.... SASH! That makes TWO idols for the free agent.

DAY 31: CHICKEN RUN

Sash is pretty much... well, let's let him say it.

"Right now I'm a triple threat, individual immunity, the hidden immunity idol and I’m in the majority alliance, so at this point I’m in complete control and I can't wait for the final Tribal Council to win my million." Famous last words. Now that he has the Idols, Fabio and Benry are on the hot seat due to the earlier deal made with Chase and Holly. Add that to the fact that they are physical threats that could easily win challenges, and one of them is going home at Tribal.

Chase wants Sash and Dan to vote out Fabio. Sash agrees. So if you're taking notes, Sash has agreed, in theory, if not outright, to vote out...

- Fabio
- Benry
- Chase

... or half his tribe.

DAY 32: RUFFLING FEATHERS

Benry admits that he feels guilty for lying to his tribe about voting out Fabio (remember, they're in the same alliance). But he figures that as long as he's here one more night, it's worth the risk.

Benry then tells Fabio of the plan to vote Holly out. Of course you know by now that that plan is a bunch of chicken feathers. Meanwhile, Sash tells Jane that he thinks of her as a second mother. Aww. She admits, "I really and truly think Sash has a great heart and Sash is not going to go with them. Sash is guaranteed a final four with us. I mean we are not going to vote him out."

Sure, she thinks that NOW...

NIGHT 32: TRIBAL COUNCIL COOP

First thing's first... we bring in the jury, Alina... Marty... Brenda... Quitter 1... and Quitter 2.

Chase admits that he might be a physical threat, but so far as he hasn't won immunity. Fabio agrees, but he has confidence in his alliance. Benry thinks that he's vulnerable tonight, but he's trusting his alliance to come through for him.

Time for the vote...

Fabio: HOLLY (of course)
Benry: FABIO
Dan: FABIO

... and the other four... by a vote of 4-2-1.... BENRY, THE TRIBE HAS SPOKEN.
