When we last left these 4
people, we had these standings...
Ted Forrest - 10
Cyndy Violette - 7
------CUTOFF----------
Freddie Deeb - 4
Eli Elezra - 0
Since we've done this twice already, you know the
drill. Top 2 after this match advance. Ted advances by
not finishing in last. Cyndy advances by making sure
that Freddie leaves before she does. Freddie has to
win the tournament, while Eli must win and make sure
that Cyndy, Freddie and Ted leave in that exact order.
Hand #1 - Deeb calls with 3's. Violette calls with a K
? 6 ?. Elezra raises with an
Ace and Deeb and Violette fold.
Hand #2 - Deeb raises with a Q ?
6 ? and everyone gets out of the way.
Hand #3 - Elezra raises with a...7 ?
3 ?? VIolette has a Q/J
? and calls. The Flop - a 2
? 7 ? A
?. Elezra pairs the 7's but
VIolette has a flush draw. VIolette bets $100,000 and
Elezra goes over the top and goes all-in. Violette,
who knows that Elezra needs her eliminated first,
folds and Eli wins a nice pot.
Hand #4 - Elezra now has a Power Hand - A ? A
? - and limps in. Deeb calls
with a A ? 8 ?. Eli goes over
the top and goes all-in. Keep in mind that he doesn't
want Deeb out, and the all-in is a warning to Deeb to
fold. Deeb listens, folds, and shows an ace. Eli shows
Freddie his 2 aces. Heh.
Hand #5 - An aggressive Elezra now has the chip lead.
Elezra goes all-in - again - with a A ? 7
?. Forrest has an...A/J
?. He has the best hand, but
if he loses now, he's out of the tournament. He folds
and ELi grabs more chips.
Hand #6 - Deeb has a J/8 ?. VIolette has 10's and goes
all-in. Elezra, with an A ? 8 ?,
calls as well. The Flop - 7 ? 4 ?
5 ?. Violette is in the lead,
but both people have straights. Deeb and Elezra check
through the Flop, the Turn (7 ?) and the River (5 ?).
Neither of them make their straights, so Violette
triples up and Deeb is now the short stack.
Hand #7 - Violette raises with an A ? 4
?. Elezra goes over the top
again and all-in with a K ? 3 ?. VIolette has to fold
and Elezra, who is still the chip leader, wins the
pot.
Hand #8 - Elezra raises with a Q ?
J ?. Violette has a pair of
red 3's, and she knows that she can't play it against
Elezra, who has a 2-1 chip edge on her. She folds and
Eli grabs another pot.
Hand #9 - Violette raises with an A
? J ?. Elezra goes all-in, but this time, he's
got a pair of Red Jacks. Violette calls and she's not
happy. The Flop - a 6 ? 5 ? A
? and Violette pairs the aces. The Turn - 7
?. Elezra needs a Jack on the
River...and finds a Q ?. Violette doubles up and she
is now the chip leader. Eli is upset, 'All this hard
work I did and I need to start everything all over
again.'
Hand #10 - Everyone folds to Deeb's 2's. He wins a
small pot - but is still the short stack.
Hand #11 - VIolette limps in with a J
? 8 ?
and Eli limps in with a Q/3 ?.
The Flop - 10 ? J ? 2
?. VIolette pairs the Jacks
but they both check. The Turn - K ? and Elezra has a
straight draw. Violette bets $100,000 and Eli decides
to go all-in...on another hand. He folds and VIolette
pads the lead.
Hand #12 - Deeb asks where the good cards are. Forrest
has them with a pair of Red Aces - but everyone folds
before they get to him. Ted sheepishly shows everyone
where the good cards were.
Hand #13 - Violette raises with a A ? J ?. Elezra
decides to go all-in with a k/10 ? and Violette calls
it. The Flop - 3 ? 6 ? 7 ?,
which is no help to Elezra. The Turn - a 3 ?, which is
also no help. Eli needs a King or a 10 to stick around
and doesn't get it on the River (A ?).
VIolette has a pair of Aces. Eli has a pair of last
placed finishes and is eliminated from the tournament.
Hand #14 - Violette is now up to 1,935,000 and no one
else is close. Deeb goes all-in with a K ? J
? and Forrest, who has now
guaranteed himself a place in the next round, calls
with a Q ? J
?. The Flop - A
? 6 ?
8 ?. The Turn - an A ? and
Ted needs a Queen to eliminate Deeb. He doesn't get it
on the River (4 ?) so Deeb
doubles up and now Forrest is on a very short stack.
Hand #15 - Deeb calls with a J ? 3 ?. VIolette (8/7 ?)
and Forrest (A ? 3 ?) call.
The Flop - A ? 4 ? A ? and
Forrest has a set of Aces. He goes all-in and Violette
and Deeb follow suit. The turn - a 9 ? and everyone
checks that - and a K ? on
the river. Like what happened a few hands a go, the
person with the short stack wins, and Forrest triples
up on both Violette and Deeb.
Hand #16 - Deeb has pocket vowels (A
? A ?) and raises. Violette (A/9 ?) raises Deeb
to go all-in and Deeb calls. Cyndy sees how behind she
is and would like to take the bet back. The Flop is a
6 ? 4 ? Q ? and Violette is on fumes. The Turn is a 6
h and we don't need to see the River (5
?) to know that Deeb has
doubled up. He is now the new chip leader, while
Violette is still in a healthy second. Forrest - not a
very healthy third, but since he is advancing to the
next round, he may not care that much.
Hand #17 - Deeb raises with a 6/5 ?. Forrest, who
already has most of his chips in, calls with a K/3 ?.
The Flop is a 2 ? K ? 7 ? and
Forrest goes all-in, while Deeb calls. Forrest leads
with Kings, but Deeb has a flush draw. Deeb needs a
club, but a 3 ? on a Turn and
a Q ? on the River aren't clubs. Forrest doubles up
and that gives Violette the chip lead back.
Hand #18 - Deeb goes all-in with a...7 ? 2
?? Everyone else folds and
Deeb takes the chip lead back with junk.
Hand #19 - Forrest raises with Black Jacks. Violette
goes all-in with a K ? J ?
and Forrest, who now has more chips than Violette,
calls. The Flop - 6 ? 7
?, 8 ?,
The Turn is a Q ? and only a
King saves Cyndy. The River - a Q ?,
and Cyndy gets busted out. She finishes in third, and
she needs Forrest to win, because a win would force a
playoff between herself and Deeb.
Hand #20 - But it's Forrest who has the lead as they
go into the next hand. Forrest has an A/3
? and limps into Deeb's J
? 6 ?.
The Flop - a J ? J ? 8
?. Deeb has trip Jacks and
Forrest...raises $600,000? He's hoping that Deeb has
junk, but Deeb calls. The Turn - an 8
? and Deeb has a boat. He
goes all-in and Forrest, who knows he can't win the
hand, folds, giving Deeb the lead back.
Hand #21 - Forrest goes all-in on a A/6 ?, while Deeb
calls with a 7 ? 4 ?. The
Flop - a 3 ? 10 ? A ?, and that's no help to Deeb as
Forrest pairs Aces. The Turn - a 9 ? and Forrest
doubles up without needing to see a K ? on the River.
Forrest gets the win, but he still trails Deeb in
chips.
Hand #22 - Forrest goes all-in with a Q ? 10 ?. but
now it's Deeb ahead with a A ? 7 ?.
The Flop - 8 ?, K ?, A
? and Deeb pairs the Aces.
Ted needs a Jack for a straight, but we get deuces on
the Turn and River. Deeb wins the Match and he now
moves into the Round of 8, displacing Cyndy Violette.
