STRENGTH CHALLENGE: Dig A Tunnel
Operatives will have to dig a tunnel
under or climb over five fences, each with an obstacle or a distractor.
The first three to hit their lockout at the other end of the course will
move on.
TIME IS CRITICAL; the slowest time will
be extracted from the game.
First is a mud fence. As you dig, water
starts to leak. Chriss is the first to clear.
Next is an eight-foot fence that must be
climbed with a 75-pound duffel bag. Kevin switches to digging with his
foot, which is a lot stronger than the arms. Chriss is the first to
complete the second fence.
Third fence must be dug under with an
Army shovel while avoiding mortal shells. Chriss is clearly fatigued, as
Mario clears the first fence. Kevin makes it through. Chriss finally
makes it as Mario begins to dig. Meanwhile, Ricoh thinks he might've
pulled something.
Fourth fence is another eight-foot climb.
The final fence is buried 16 inches...
and is a high-voltage fence... Mario and Chriss are digging for first
place... and CHRISS is the first to clear.
Meanwhile, Mario is hampered by his big
butt. He gets unstuck and locks out for the two-spot. Might wanna pull
them pants up. And Ricoh finally gives in to his injury.
EXTRACTED: Ricoh
SPEED CHALLENGE: Lasers
Navigate through a maze of light beams
without tripping one. If the operative trips a laser, he must begin
again. Once he reaches the half-way mark, he must lock the briefcase to
his wrist and return. There is a time limit of one hour.
TIME IS CRITICAL; the operative with the
slowest time will be extracted from the game.
MARIO: 34:34
KEVIN: TIME OUT
CHRISS: 19:34 - SAFE
At this point, time is not important.
EXTRACTED: Kevin.
INTELLIGENCE CHALLENGE: Diffuse Bombs
In a blast-resistant suit, each operative
will have to diffuse a buried IED, a timer shed bomb, a car bomb, and a
pressure plate bomb. The operative who successfully diffuses the most
bombs in the quickest time will be named the One Man Army and win
$10,000.
First, each player is given a target
folder with all the information needed to diffuse the bombs, as well as
90 seconds to memorize it.
Chriss... doesn't start out well. He
trips the pressure plate. Steps are important for the car bomb. Chriss
follows those to the letter, so he scores. Next, the IED, which requires
you to cut a series of wires in sequence. He... DOES SO. Now Chriss has
three minutes to diffuse the time shed. And... DONE! Three of four
diffused.
Mario has to diffuse all four bombs to
win. If he misses one, he's going to have to rely on time. Pressure
plate... BOOM. Car bomb... disarmed. IED... disarmed. Now he needs to
beat 2:53 on the timer to win. Timer shed.... BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE.
And it's game over for you.
EXTRACTED: Mario
Chriss S came in first in all three
challenges, and now he has the cash and the title of One Man Army. Age
and wisdom win out over youth this day.
Four more operatives next time...
