In the world's ultimate talent search, where the eyes of a nation are upon the best undiscovered singers in the country, where the audience has the power to make or break you, and where a million-dollar recording contract is on the line, there is only one rule: If you can sing it, bring it.

Round of 5: Year of Birth & Divas
April 17

We started with five guys and five girls. We end... with five girls. But something that hasn't happened in five weeks will happen tonight. Will five become four or will the judges use the Save? All that, and NORTH CAROLINA IN THE HOUSE! Clay Aiken and Fantasia return to where it all began.

FORD FIESTA MISSION: Celebrity Scavenger Hunt. And at the end of the road... Hey look, it's singer/actor Matthew Morrison! Glee's on next over most of these Fox stations.

IDOL UPDATE: since this North Carolina teacher auditioned for Randy and Simon in season 2, he went on to do some impressive things, including singing, acting, and raising awareness for special needs kids. Singing a finale favorite from season 2... "Bridge Over Troubled Water"... IT'S CLAY AIKEN!

A surprise... As we get the post-mortem about Candice's version of "Straight Up", Randy complains that he hasn't been able to get a hold of Paula... well, now's your chance. Here's Paula Abdul back on the American Idol stage... and back on the American Idol panel for a bit. Call it their own "Three divas". Speaking of...

IDOL UPDATE #2: It began as a shock, Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia Barrino... and somebody else were the bottom three. We all know what Jennifer Hudson's doing. We know that Fantasia will be on stage later. What about the third? That would be Latoya London, and... she's back in Oakland, CA, getting into theatre and Urban Punk (rock band). Now she's getting back into the studio with new music.

Speaking of... the woman she shared a stage with is back on the Idol stage. Singing her new joint "Lose to Win", IT'S FANTASIA! "Side Effects Of You" is the new album, go get it.

That means that Kree Harrison and Janelle Arthur are your bottom two tonight.

The lady who will be singing for the save tonight...

.... is....

.... JANELLE ARTHUR. Her song, which I don't think will be too long a performance, since as it is right now, there are four minutes left in the show... "Keep Me Hanging On".

Sixty percent of the Twitterverse want the judges to save her...  Let's go to the table.

"It's been two for and two not for, so unfortunately, baby... it is NOT unanimous." So Janelle Arthur literally hands Kree Harrison a ticket to the top 3 AT LEAST.

And then... there were four.
