Hollywood: Line Sing
February 10

It's been a long and winding journey, but we're finally here tonight, picking up the pieces of the auditions, and walking back into the light. The 327 people with golden tickets have done well to make it this far, but how long will they be able to stay in Hollywood? Only their talent can answer that question.

Pasadena Civic Auditorium

The 327 quarterfinalists trade their golden tickets in for one shot in the line round. Groups of 10 will come out and sing, one at a time. No feedback, save for a back and front. Half of the contestants will go through tonight, the other half will go home.

In the first line: Brett Loewenstern (Boca Raton, FL) with "Let It Be". He is... IN. Joining him: Rachel Zevita (New York City), Thia Megia (Mountain House, CA), and Casey Abrams (Idyllwild, CA). Will Victoria Huggins (Lumberton, NC) join them with Julianne Hough's "My Hallelujah Song"? Singing a song from the host's girlfriend. Good call, but he doesn't control your fate. Victoria... is going back to Carolina. You'd think that she would be humbled by the decision... but she isn't really showing it, is she?

James Durbin (Santa Cruz, CA) and Paris Tassin (New Orleans) are in the next line. Paris starts with "My Heart Will Go On". James sings "Oh Darlin'" Meanwhile in the same line, Lauren Alaina (Rossville, GA) and Stormi Henley (Crossville, TN). Stormi's first with "Stay" by Sugarland, followed by Lauren with "Unchained Melody". James... and Lauren... and Paris... are IN.

Next line: Chris Medina (Oak Forest, IL) and "You And I Both" by Jason Mraz. He's... IN.

In the next line: Hollie Cavenagh (McKinney, TX), Jacee Badeaux (Lafayette, LA), and Robbie Rosen (Merrick, NY). Jacee sings "Bless the Broken Road", Robbie sings "Moody's Mood for Love". Hollie goes with "I Look At You"... And they're ALL in.

Steve Beghun (Bloomington, IN) "Haven't Met You Yet" in his line sing. But it's back to the desk for this accountant. Joining him: Sarah Sellers, Jacquelyn Dupree, and Heidi Khzam.

Day 2 of Hollywood Week starts with ... a giant fustercluck.

Rob & Chelsee the ex-couple are the first in line that we see. They're rooming with still-couple Nick & Jacqueline. First, Rob Bolin (Nashville) with Bocephus' "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry". Chelsee Oaks (Nashville) follows with "Up To The Mountain". They're both IN. Meanwhile, Nick Fink (Scottsdale, AZ) starts with "New Shoes" by Paolo Nutini, followed by Jacqueline Dunford (Scottsdale, AZ) with "Bring It On Home To Me". Nick Fink... is OUT. He begs for another chance... Sorry, one shot per customer. Jacqueline's dream will continue without him.

Next up, Scotty McCreery (Garner, NC) sings "Your Man"... again. Needless to say... He's IN. Hey, whatever works. Also singing what they went in with: Jackie Wilson (Nashville), Jerome Bell (New York City), Joining Scotty in the next round... BOTH of them.

Last round starts with Tiffany Rios (Morris Plains, NJ) with "All I Could Do Was Cry" by Beyonce and Travis Orlando (Bronx, NY) with "This Love" by Maroon 5. Travis is... going home. Tiffany is going to group round. Joining: Clint Jun Gamboa, Julie Zorrilla, Naima Adedapo, the Gutierrez Brothers, Molly DeWulf, Emily Anne Reed, Stefano Langone, and Ashley Sullivan.

And where 327 singers once stood, 168 are left to dream another day. But there's little time for celebration. Tomorrow is GROUP DAY.
