For the last four years, Deal or No Deal has made millions by giving away millions, but NBC has felt that the show is no longer profitable in primetime. Therefore, it's being canceled. But before we ship it over to the Game Show Old Folks' Home, we're going to try and end on a high. We continue with Kim Jones of DeFuniak Springs, FL, who brushed off an opening offer of $92,000 for her case.

Helping Kim today are her best friend, her husband, and Mary Ellen (who's been like a sister to her). If Kim wins some money, she's going to buy Mary Ellen some lips. The family wants one more case. She has a 25% chance at $750,000. That's a chance she's not willing to take. DEAL for $137,000! Kelly had... $500. Next offer would've been $249,000. Alike had... $10. Banker would've offered... $401,000. In Kim's case...
A bum deal... We quickly reset for another player, THOMAS FRETSY. He's a high-school math teacher and a server at a restaurant. Will that come in handy today? And he lives at home. Nerd Alert! Dave (father), Debbie (mom), and Eileen (best friend)... And there's the Nerd Alert again. It's enough to get Tommy out of the house. But is it enough to get Tommy out of the game? Nope. NO DEAL! 2 (Stacey) - "Mom, you should look at
this one." $1000 Two of the big three are still in play, so he's got a big offer coming... But first, a side game. He's going to put Tommy's math skills up against... a chimp's. Will Jake play a better game than him? We'll find out, but first... The offer.

He still has a big safety net. He's got two big cases left versus one big case to open. Both parents want him to deal. Joe the brother... NO DEAL. NO DEAL! And Jake? DEAL. So $167,000 is the mark to beat. 20 (Alike) - $100 He's gonna have a better deal than the monkey.
That's guaranteed. There's a 40% chance that he's sitting on six figures. Dad's right by saying that he's got $120,000 swing either way. DEAL for $220,000! But what would've happened? Kelly had $5000. Banker would've offered... $313,000. Claudia had... $750,000. Offer would've dropped to $180,000. Sara had... $500,000! In Thomas's case...
An awesome deal. We quickly reset for our final player of this series, GORETTY MADIREZ. She's an engaged accountant (who's dyslexic with numbers) and bartender from Massachusetts. Together, she and her fiance have three shih-tzus. The ladies return to the stage... with three shih-tzus. Two dressed like the case ladies, and one dressed like Howie. Goretty goes with #3... And she thinks $10,000 is in there.
Goretty wants to open her own bar. Starting with six... 16 (Lisa L) - $750,000 First offer of the game.
"Now get out." No thanks. 10 (Anya) - "Here's a little sunshine."

Kim (sister), Manny (father), and her best friend want her to leave with more than the $5000 or $10,000 that Goretty came here for. $17,000 is not even enough for the liquor license. NO DEAL. 5 (Ursula) - "Positive thoughts!"
BANOODLES! So much for that. Next offer...
She's switching the negative thinking into positive thinking for... NO DEAL! 23 (Aubrie) - Everyone's thinking

As you can see, the rest of the game should be played on guts. There's a one-out-of-eight chance at $400,000. Dad wants her to go all the way. She might... NO DEAL! Two cases.... 7 (Sara) - Game over. $400,000 New offer...
NO DEAL. Next case... 4 (Keltie) - $500 Next case
NO DEAL. Next case... 8 (Mariela) - $750
Time to end the agony. DEAL for $100. In Goretty's case...
It's a GOOD deal, at least. So we end the show not with a bang or a whisper, but a thud. Oh well, there's always reruns and syndication.
