Week 9: The Last Turkey Dinner
November 16

It comes down to 4 couples, and the semifinals are here. They get 3 routines, because they don't want to leave 1 couple hanging in the finals come tomorrow night. Let's see who is the top scorer as we start performance night.

BALLROOM ROUND

In the first of 3 rounds, we start with Donny & Kym doing a tango to "Black & Gold" by Sam Sparro. There had been a bit of a costume malfunction during the routine but things worked out well. On to the judges. Carrie Ann said there was no drama happening, Len said it was a catastrophe and Bruno said Donny completely lost it. We find the numbers:

CARRIE: 7
LEN: 7
BRUNO: 7
Round 1 Score: 21

Next is Joanna & Derek doing a Vienesse waltz to "Halleujah" by Lenoard Cohen. It became beautiful & poigant. Now to the judges. Carrie Ann said Joanna took her breath away, Len said it was the most beautiful dance and Bruno said it was a fantastic waltz. hallelujah to that. On to the scoreboard:

Round 1 Score: 27

Third up, Kelly & Louis doing a rumba to "Angels" by Robbie Williams. They had a bit of flirt with this routine. Now we go to the judges. Carrie Ann said she brought her to tears, Len said she turned into a confident dancer, and Bruno said it was very enduring. Now we get the numbers:

CARRIE: 8

Round 1 Score: 24

Last up in this round, Mya & Dmitry doing a waltz. She took the style to the finals, and wanted this routine to win. To the judges. Carrie Ann said she has the potential to get 10's tonight, Len said it had romance and Bruno loved it. Here's the numbers:

Round 1 Score: 28

Round 1's over and Mya is in the lead. Time for a power shift with round 2.

LATIN ROUND

In this round, you get 1 15-second solo. Maybe Donny & Kym will catapult into the lead as they go first doing a samba to "One Bad Apple" by The Osmonds. He decided to use improvement from the last round. Now we go to the judges. Carrie Ann said it was better than the last one, Len said it was a good job and Bruno said he nailed it. Let's hammer the scoreboard:

Round 2 Score: 26
Score so far: 49

Joanna & Derek will do a cha-cha to "Can't Get You Out of My Head" by Kylie Minogue. They wanted to keep it going with sharper moves than the first week of the season. Now to the judges. Carrie Ann loved it, Len said it was clean & crisp and Bruno said she is natural sex. Let's squirt the numbers:

CARRIE: 9
LEN: 9
BRUNO: 9
Round 2 Score: 27
Score so far: 54

Next up is Kelly & Louis doing a quick step to "99 Red Balloons" by Nena. It became more quicker and more faster. Now let's speed up with the judges. Carrie Ann said she nailed it, Len said it was totally beyond expectations and Bruno said it was light & fast-footed. Let's run to the scoreboard:

Score so far: 51

Mya & Dmitry will end the period doing a cha-cha to "La Isla Bonita" by Madonna.
They try to spark a routine and it worked. Now to the judges. Carrie Ann said it was hot beoynd belief, Len said she should be in the finale next week and Bruno said it was sensastional. Now the numbers:

Round 2 Score: 30
Score so far: 58

After 2 rounds, Mya has taken the lead, but Joanna wants to regain it, or the other 2 should have it. It's time for the Knouckout round.

KNOCKOUT ROUND

Donny & Kym go first as they jitterbug to "Jump Shout Boogie" by Barry Manilow. The team proved to put more fun into their act with this routine. Now to the judges. Carrie Ann said it hit it, Len said it was a winner and Bruno said it was filled with vigor. Now to the scoreboard:

CARRIE: 9

ROund 3 Score: 27
Overall Score: 74

Joanna & Derek came next to do a salsa. They had to put fire in this routine. Now to the judges. Carrie Ann said it generated a hit, Len said it was hot, tasty & full of spice and Bruno said it was delicious & flirtacios. Let's gobble up the scoreboard!

Round 3 Score: 27
Overall Score: 81

We have Kelly & Louis doing a cha-cha to "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" by Cyndi Lauper. She tried to add spice to that dance and it worked like a charm. On to the judges. Carrie Ann said she did a great job, Len said it was well done and Bruno said her feet precision was very good. Here's the numbers:

CARRIE: 9

BRUNO: 9
Round 3 Score: 27
Overall Score: 78

ANd to wrap it all up, Mya & Dmitry doing a cha-cha to "Fire Burning" by Sean Kingston. Last round, she got a 30, and in this round, the fire was not out on her. We go to the judges. Carrie Ann said the beginning wasn't speaking to her, Len said it was a little disappointing and Bruno said it was fantastic. Our last trip to the leaderboard:

Round 3 Score: 29
Overall Score: 87

What a night it was. Here's the final tally: Donny & Kym have 4th with 74, 3rd goes to Kelly & Louis with 78, Joanna & Krupa are in 2nd with 81 and at the top, Mya & Dmitry with 87. Tomorrow, we find out which 3 will go into the finals. The results will make or break any 3 of the 4 couples who will go. We'll see you later, everyone!
