Week 5: The Bull Market Triangle
April 6

Holly Madison & Steve Wozniak are disposed of this week, so the week is now devoted to either the paso doble or the vienesse waltz. Every move they make hangs in the balance for all 9 couples. Will Gilles & Cheryl repeat what they did last week? You'll have to see to find out. Shall we begin?

First off, Chuck & Julianne doing a waltz to "Feels Like Today" by the Rascal Flatts. Julianne did a quick kick and a floor sweep. Chuck got down on one knee to end it, but a 23 knows we're off to a good start.

Next, Lawrence & Edyta doing a paso doble. Lawrence spun his cape around and threw it away. Edyta did a bit of a leg carry and both did arm work. On to the judges. Carrie Ann said he commended on working with the music, Len said he liked his intensity and Bruno said he started it like a block of granite. Let's rock the scoreboard!

CARRIE: 6
LEN: 7
BRUNO: 7
Total Score: 20
And they get 2nd place.

Up next, Shawn & Mark waltz to "Ordinary Day" by Vanessa Carlton. One highlight you might see is Shawn doing a split twirl, and that's more than enough to take the lead with only 26 points.

Melissa & Tony do a paso doble to "Poker Face" by Lady Gaga. Melissa did a quick circle kick and a ballerina spin. She also did a quick kick, another one and even another one. That'll give them 25 for that effort.

We kickstart along to David & Kym doing "I Put A Spell on You" by Screamin' Jay Hawkins. Kym was revealed behind the red fans and did a floor sweep. She tried to hang on to David, but he was a but heavy at the end. To the judges we go. Carrie Ann said they're not moving in unison, Len said he loved the story and Bruno said that life looked like a dog in a lamp post. On with the scoreboard:

CARRIE: 7
LEN: 8
BRUNO: 7
Total Score: 22

Next is Gilles & Cheryl doing a paso doble. Cheryl put the jacket on Gilles and did a foot drag. Cheryl did a split from here on out and Gilles did a pin splash to end it. We go to the judges. Carrie Ann said it was breathtakingly, Len said it came out very strong and Bruno said Gilles went for the kill. We stalk the scoreboard:

CARRIE: 10
LEN: 9
BRUNO: 10
Total Score: 29
And they're now in the lead!

And up next, Steve-O & Lacey doing a waltz. Steve does all his mime work to get to Lacey and she did a bit of a floor sweep. And the judges will now critique. Carrie Ann said it didn't like the actong schtick, Len said it was his best dance and Bruno said the influence went very well. Repel in the scoreboard:

CARRIE: 6
LEN: 6
BRUNO: 6
Total Score: 18
They're way in last place.

Next up, Ty & Chelsie doing a paso doble to "Barracuda" by Heart. both flirted around with capes or, whatever and Ty threw the cape away. By the end, Chelsie did a floor spin and did a wake-up move. We get to the judges. Carrie Ann said he was thinking too much, Len said it was not quite of a standard, and Bruno said it was so robotic & metallic. Our computer says:

CARRIE: 7
LEN: 7
BRUNO: 7
Total Score: 21
And they stay out of last place.

To end it, Lil' Kim & Derek doing "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain as a waltz. Lil' Kim did an underarm turn and a leg lift. She also did a balancing act and everything else was nice. We go to the judges. Carrie Ann said she was beaming, Len said it was great musicality and Bruno said he had a huge smile on his face. Does he ever? To the scores one last time:

CARRIE: 9
LEN: 8
BRUNO: 9
Total Score: 26
And that'll be on a 2nd place tie.

So to recap, Gilles & Cheryl have 29, 2 26s have Lil' Kim & Shawn, Melissa gets 25, 23 goes to Chuck, David is right behind with 22, Ty's in with 21, LT has 20 and the tinfoil goes to Steve-O with 19. It seems clear who wants to be eliminated and the results show will figure out why. It'll be tomorrow when we'll know. Good night, everyone!
