Week 10: Driving On the Wrong Side of the Road
May 11

Why is there only 4 left? It's because we're just one week away from the finals. Which 3 will become winners, and which 1 is a loser? Two hours will fill this thing....Yawn....let's begin.

The couples will choose their favorite routines right after the pros do a ballroom dance. Can we get on with it? Oh, it is on. As we begin, Melissa & Tony do a quickstep to "I Got Rhythm." The only highlight you might see is Melissa doing a floor spin. On to the judges. Carrie Ann said it was very pretty, Len said he loved the musicality and Bruno said it was very, very good. Now to the scores:

CARRIE: 9
LEN: 10
BRUNO: 9
Round 1 Score: 28

Next up, Gilles & Cheryl doing a waltz to "Come Away With Me" by Norah Jones. Gilles sat o watch Cheryl dance and she asked him to dance. It was so elegant when that happened. On to he judges. Carrie Ann said it was subtle, sweet perfection, Len gave it a sitting down standing ovation and Bruno said it's how he's started the race for the finals. The scores say:

CARRIE: 10
LEN: 10
BRUNO: 10
Round 1 Score: 30

Next up, Shawn & Mark doing a tango. Shawn gets a knockdown gesture from Mark and a lift came in during the routine. Now to the judges. Carrie Ann said it delivered, Len said it had an intensity and Bruno said it like a cell block tango in Chicago. Lock up the scores:

CARRIE: 10
LEN: 10
BRUNO: 10
Round 1 Score: 30

Last for the half, Ty & Chelsie doing a waltz to "Tuesday's Gone" by Lynyrd Skynrd. I think it delivered beauty throughout the routine. Now we go to the judges before halftime. Carrie Ann said it was a fantastic thing to watch, Len said it had a couple of issues and Bruno said it was like chasing flies. Let's fly away to the leaderboard:

CARRIE: 8
LEN: 9
BRUNO: 8
Round 1 Score: 25

After 1 round of play, Both Gilles & Shawn have 30, and the other 2 are playing catchup, but we go ahead with the stars and their hometowns. They should've saved it for the finale any way. We move on with the 2nd half.

Melissa & Tony go first as they cha-cha to "Save The Last Dance For Me" by The Drifters. It brought vibe to the ballroom, but they got a 27 for their part.

Next up, Gilles & Cheryl doing a salsa. It added fire to the ballroom. Now to the judges. Carrie Ann did a dace and I don't know what else. On to the scores:

CARRIE: 10
LEN: 10
BRUNO: 10
Round 2 Score: 60
Overall Score: 60

Next up, Shawn & Mark doing a jive to "Reet Petite" by Jackie Wilson. They did their thing. A 26 helped on the leaderboard.

And to end the night, Ty & Chelsie doing a samba to "Concrete & Clay" by Martin Plaza. Ty drummed Chelsie to move and did a merry-go-round move on her. They ended it by sitting on the dance stairs. We skip to the scores:

CARRIE: 8
LEN: 7
BRUNO: 8
Round 2 Score: 23
Overall Score: 48

So to wrap it all up:

Gilles & Cheryl -- 60
Shawn & Mark -- 56
Melissa & Tony -- 55
Ty & Chelsie -- 48

What a yawner in between rounds. Other than that, I hope you liked dancing. Let's hope tomorrow's results show gives us a wake-up call. I'll see you at 8 pm central, okay? Okay!
