Week
10: Ballroom Bowl XIII
J.R. Martinez, Ricki Lake and Rob Kardashian.
They're all here on this Thanksgiving week to be thankful for a victory. They've
been lucky to make it this far, but only one will be the luckiest of them all
this season. let's begin.
Getting things going is Ricki & Derek doing a cha-cha to "Yeah x #' by Chris Brown. The entrance electrified the whoole thing and danced all throughout the routine. Now to the judges. Carrie Ann said she is looking fierce, Len said it could've been a but more fluid and Bruno said it was running at full steam. Let's run over the numberboard... CARRIE ANN: 9 LEN: 9 BRUNO: 9 Round 1 Score: 27 Next is Rob & Cheryl doing a waltz to "It Is You (I have Loved") by Dana Glover. A swirl according to teh top camera angle was the only highlight you see. Now we go to the judges. Carrie Ann said it was a little stocky, Len said it had good posture and Bruno said he was flowing and glowing....and going to teh scoreboard.... CARRIE ANN: 9 LEN: 9 BRUNO: 9 Round 1 Score: 27 And to end the half, J.R. & Karina do a cha-cha to "Let's Get Loud" by Jennifer Lopez. It seemed that J.R. was in a groove solo and he did exactly that on the routine. Now we go to the judges. Carrie Ann said the musicality was a bit off, Len said it wasn't that good and Bruno said he really liked the mood he set. Let's set up the numbers... CARRIE ANN: 8 LEN: 7 BRUNO: 9 Round 1 Score: 24 After 1 period, both Rob & Ricki are tied at 27, but J.R. needs a grenade to blast into the lead. We go back to teh war zone to do teh freestyle round. Watch as power-ups in video games play a vital role. FREESTYLE ROUND Ricki & Derek will dance to "Can't Touch It" by RIcki-Lee Coulter. Both did arm work and Derek but both legs over a bent Ricki and both did a weightlifting gesture. A little quickstep and Ricki went through Derek. They even had a helicopter lift move. Now we fly to the judges. Carrie Ann said she did it effortlessly, Len said it was entertaining and Bruno said it was the most demanding. Demand this.... CARRIE ANN: 9 LEN: 9 BRUNO: 9 ROund 2 Score: 27 Score so far: 54 Now it's Rob & Cheryl turn to dance to "Minnie The Moocher" by Cab Calloway. Rob put teh trumpet on the piano and Cheryl almost kicked Rob. She also did back & forth bends and Rob dragged her foot while lying down. A bit of quickstep and Cheryl showed teh behind Rob has. Carrie Ann said consider herself blown< len said his family should be proud and Bruno said he picked up the right time. Time for the scores... CARRIE ANN: 9 LEN: 9 BRUNO: 9 ROUnd 2 Score: 27 Score so far: 54 And lastly, J.R. & Karina dancing to "Whine Up" by Kat Deluna. Karnia did a flip over and both did a can opener move. Both pretended to search for animals and both danced on smaller circles. Now we go to the judges. Carrie Ann hugged Karina, Len revealed Karina's body and her talent and Bruno said..."What A comeback!" here it is.... CARRIE ANN: 10 LEN: 10 BRUNO: 10 Round 2 Score: 30 Score so far: 54 Guess what? All 3 are tied at 54 a piece, but anything can still happen as we head into night 2 where the instant samba and their best dance will lead into the championship crowning.
