Week 10: Ballroom Bowl XI
November 22

The party is cranked to capacity. An actress who adds spark to scoreboard power, an actor who has a lot of fun to young people, and a teen activist who never gives up. Two nights are on us, but only one will taste victory. It's the finals and the electricity is about to get hotter. And.....We're off!

All 3 couples will need to redo a routine they didn't work. First came Kyle & Lacey doing a foxtrot to "Feelin' Good" by Nina Simone. One highlight you night see was Lacey doing a floor spin. Now we spin over to the judges. Carrie Ann said his footwork was good, Len said he came out so much better than the first time and Bruno said his technique has improved enormously. Here's the first scoreboard check:

Carrie Ann: 9 Len: 9 Bruno: 9 Round 1 Score: 27

Next is Bristol & mark doing a jive to "Move" by The Dreamgirls. Bristol dropped the briefcase and Mark did a back crawl through later on. He later pulled Bristol back to end it. Now we push ahead to the judges. Carrie Ann said she amazed her, Len said she was a thriller and Bruno said they all enjoyed it. And they all enjoy this...

Carrie Ann: 9 Len: 9 Bruno: 9 Round 1 Score: 27

Rounding out the 3, Jennifer & Derek doing a paso doble to "Habanera." If you watch this routine, someone here forgot to turn the lights on, but nevermind that routine. Derek dragged Jennifer and soon after....the lights went on. Thank god. Both did arm work and Derek ripped part of Jennifer's dress off and used it as a cape. By the end, you wtach Derek Hough at work. Now let's work with the judges. Carrie Ann said this is redemption, Len said it was fantastic and Bruno said it was sultry. Here's the numbers....

Carrie Ann: 10 Len: 10 Bruno: 10 Round 1 Score: 30

So after 1 round, Jennifer's got a perfect 30 and Kyle & Bristol are 3 points shy of the lead. That could change as we head into the next round that proves one point: Make anything up. It's the freestyle round.

First off, Kyle & Lacey dancing to "Tootsie Roll" by the 69 Boyz. Lacey did a cartwheel and both did a lawnmower and a roping gesture. Lacey went through Kyle and both did the worm. Now we squirm to the judges. Carrie Ann said he killed it, Len said they did great dancing and Bruno said it was amazing entertainment. Here's the numbers:

Carrie Ann: 10 Len: 9 Bruno: 10 Round 2 Score: 29 Total So far: 56

Next is Bristol & Mark dancing to "Cell Block Tango" from "Chicago." Bristol got out the cage and there were red chairs, top hats and a game of tug-of war. Here's what the judges said. Carrie Ann said she's proud of her, Len said it was no disaster and Bruno said she gives credit for aiming so high. Let's aim for t he scoreboard...

Carrie Ann: 9 Len: 9 Bruno: 8 Round 2 Score: 25 Total So far: 52

Last up, Jennifer & Derek dancing to "Do You Love Me?" By the Contours. Jennifer held a watermelon and Derek went past her. He later took off part off her dress and they even danced on top of the judges table. Amazing dancing, but we go to the judges. Carrie Ann said it was amazing, Len said she's an irresistible force and Bruno said the dancing was brilliant. Here's the numberboard:

Carrie Ann: 10 Len: 10 Bruno: 10 Round 2 Score: 30 Total So Far: 60

So far, Jennifer Grey is running away, but the other 2 could still catch up. The final show of season 11 will reveal all this, plus the eliminated come back one last time. We'll see you later.
