TOURNAMENT 5
EPISODE 2
From the Palms Casino in downtown Sin City, the Bravo Television Network in connection with the National Broadcasting Company present the poker stylings of Dave Foley and CELEBRITY POKER SHOWDOWN. From the beautiful Gold Yellow Copper Steel Iron auditorium of the Palms Casino in downtown Vegas, overlooking the uptown section of downtown Mustang Ranch. Stay with us, won't you, and enjoy the most entertaining poker this side of the Bellagio. Now, to get thing underway, Dave will introduce the five celebs each battling it out tonight to get to the Final Table and win the lion's share of the $250,000 Caddilac(TM) Prize Pool for his/her charity. This beautiful medley and lovely lyrics portrayed locally by Chris Wolvie.
We have a CPS vet, a CBJ champion, two male rookies and a literal mother of a rookie at tonight's table. And they are:
CELEBRITY | BIO |
Jason Alexander playing for the Oakwood Capital Building Fund |
Listen Up! While not playing sports reporter Tony Kleinman on the hit CBS show, the former Seinfeld actor is winning at GSN's Celebrity Blackjack. Can he pull off a celeb gambling exacta or will he lose and yada, yada, yada... |
Nick Gonzalez playing for the Friends of El Faro (an orphanage in Tijuana) |
He's been on MTV's Undressed, guest starred on The O.C. and Law & Order: SVU and starred in Ressurection Blvd. Will this young actor undress the others or will he NEED to be ressurected from a bad beat? |
Allison Janney playing for Citymeals on Wheels |
After her rather pathetic showing in the first tournament, Claudia Jean 'C.J.' Cregg from The West Wing is back in the game! But has her poker skills improved at all or will she have to learn "How To Deal" with loss again? |
Chris Kattan playing for the Sierra Club Foundation |
The SNL alumnus flopped as "Corky Romano" but looks to bounce back with "Santa's Slay" with Goldberg this holiday. Will he have his "Night at the Roxbury" or is he just not ready for prime-time poker shows? |
Mary McCormack playing for the Juvenile Diabeties Research Foundation |
Mary, a new mother, recently joined the cast of The West Wing as Kate Harper. She also played Howard Stern's wife in "Private Parts". Can she make a "Deep Impact" at this table or will it be Murder One on her when all is said and done? |
Each celebrity will start with $10,000 worth of chips and the game will continue until one celebrity has all $50K in his/her possession, thus winning the "coveted" silver chip and making him/her eligible for the Final Table later in the year. At the announcers' position beside the Losers' Lounge are host Dave Foley and poker expert Phil Gordon. They'll be calling the action emanating from the main room.
All right, let's git it on! Or, as Tournament Director Robert Thompson says, let's SHUFFLE UP AND DEAL!
Blinds start at $100 (SB) and $200 (BB). The Dealer Button (D) starts on Mary, meaning Nicholas posts the Small Blind, Allison posts the Big Blind and Chris is first to act.
As far as picks go, Dave goes for Chris...while Phil picks Nick (solely on his position as far from Mary's heaving nursing breasts.)

Then Dave lets Chris know that, thanks to him, $5000 will go to the Sierra Club Foundation...enough to put a fence around a shrub, at least.
