TOURNAMENT 5
EPISODE 5
CELEBRITY POKER SHOWDOWN is back again! It's the poker tournament that plays like a Beverly Hills home game. The Caddilac(TM) $250,000 Prize Pool awaits five more celebrities and their respective charities as they battle it out to get that last spot at the Final Table and a shot at $100,000!
CPS rookies abound again, though one's nop stranger to celebrity poker. Let's meet the victims...er, players:
CELEBRITY | BIO |
Heather Graham playing for Planned Parenthood |
Heather has been all OVER the map: on screen (Felicity Shagwell of "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me"), on TV (recently played Dr. Molly Clock on Scrubs) and on computers (voiced Antonia Bayle of Everquest II). Will she be all over this table...or all over PERIOD? |
Jesse Metcalfe playing for St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital |
After a number of years on the NBC soap Passions, Jesse moved on to become John Rowland on ABC's Desperate Housewives. Will he have the passion to win or will he get desperate and lose? |
Andrea Parker playing for National Hospice Palliative Care Organization |
She had a recurring role as Lt. Caitlin 'Kate' Pike on JAG and now plays Lydia Weston on Less Than Perfect. Will she be perfect with the cards or will she be shot down like a MiG? |
Malcolm-Jamal Warner playing for American Sickle Cell Anemia Association |
He started as Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show. After a few other failed attempts, he landed a role on CBS' Listen Up with Jason Alexander. Will he be successful Here And Now or will he be taking The Magic School Bus home? |
Fred Willard playing for Childrens Hospital Los Angeles |
From humble beginnings on Real People and "This Is Spinal Tap", Fred's risen to EQUALLY humble roles in "Best In Show", "A Mighty Wind", Everybody Loves Raymond and the WPT. Will he be keeping it real at the table or will he be "dogged" to find a good hand? |
Each celebrity will start with $10,000 worth of chips and the game will continue until one celebrity has all $50K in his/her possession, thus winning the "coveted" silver chip and making him/her eligible for the Final Table later in the year. At the announcers' position beside the Losers' Lounge are host Dave Foley and poker expert Phil Gordon. They'll be calling the action emanating from the main room.
All right, let's toss some chips! As Tournament Director Robert Thompson says, SHUFFLE UP AND DEAL!
Blinds start at $100 (SB) and $200 (BB). The Dealer Button (D) starts on Malcolm, meaning Fred posts the Small Blind, Heather posts the Big Blind and Jesse is first to act.
As far as picks go, Dave goes for Fred while Phil picks Andrea...so we KNOW what's gonna happen with them, right?
Before the first deal, Fred asks for special rules: no bluffing and to show courtesy if he looks at their hands. | ||||

Andrea says it best as she shleps to the Lounge: "Wow,...that sucked!" As she joins Dave in the Lounge, she says she wasn't expecting to be there so soon. She wants Phil to come over with her and Dave...but Phil is a bit angry that Andrea played that hand so poorly. The National Hospice Palliative Care Organization WILL get $5000 for Andrea's short participation in this match... but Andrea says she won't be able to LIVE with herself now. So before she performs "seppuku" on the couch, let's get back to the action...
