TOURNAMENT 5
EPISODE 3
CELEBRITY POKER SHOWDOWN is back in da howse! The $250,000 Caddilac(TM) Prize Pool awaits the fine celebs and their charities. But only one of the five playing tonight will make it to the Final Table and have a shot at the $100,000 piece of that pool. To do that, s/he will have to out-draw, out-flop and out-bluff the others.
Rookies, rookies and even MORE rookies at tonight's table. Let's meet them, shall we?:
CELEBRITY | BIO |
Lacey Chabert playing for the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation |
Playing Eliza on the hit Nicktoon The Wild Thornberrys for many years, Lacy also has roles in hit movies like "Daddy Day Care" and "Lost In Space". Will she shake these card sharks down or will she prove that "Mean Girls" finish last? |
Bonnie Hunt playing for the Greater Chicago Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation |
This comedienne had been doing voices doe Disney/Pixar films before scoring her own show (Life With Bonnie) and a hit movie ("Cheaper By the Dozen") . Will she tell the chips to "Return To Me" or will she be walking "The Green Mile" back to the Lounge? |
J.K. Simmons playing for Iris House |
J.K. is best known as shrink Emil Skoda in the Law & Order series, but he ALSO played Daily Bugle boss J. Jonah Jameson in the Spider-Man films. Can he prove himself sane here or will he be caught in the web of bad hands? |
Robert Wagner playing for the Silver Lining Foundation |
After years on Hart to Hart, this veteran actor got his career jump-started as "Number Two" in the "Austin Powers" trilogy. Will he be a "Goldmember" of the Final Table or be one of "The Fallen Ones"? |
Scott Wolf playing for EBMRF |
He got started as one of the Party of Five and is currently playing Dr. Jake Hartman on the WB's Everwood. Can he be the lone man at THIS party of five or will he be a bigger flop than the "Double Dragon" movie he was in? |
Each celebrity will start with $10,000 worth of chips and the game will continue until one celebrity has all $50K in his/her possession, thus winning the "coveted" silver chip and making him/her eligible for the Final Table later in the year. At the announcers' position beside the Losers' Lounge are host Dave Foley and poker expert Phil Gordon. They'll be calling the action emanating from the main room.
All right, mix those cards and hand them out...or, as Tournament Director Robert Thompson says, SHUFFLE UP AND DEAL!
Blinds start at $100 (SB) and $200 (BB). The Dealer Button (D) starts on Bonnie, meaning Robert posts the Small Blind, Scott posts the Big Blind and J.K. is first to act.
As far as picks go, Dave goes for the veteran celebrity Robert and while Phil picks Lacey "for obvious reasons".
