TOURNAMENT 5
EPISODE 4
Take one part World Poker Tour, five parts celebrity, toss in a $250,000 Prize Pool graciously given by Caddilac(TM), a mess of charities, a poker pro and an almost effeminate host. Put it in the Palms Casino blender and set for "Obliterate" and...VOILA! You have CELEBRITY POKER SHOWDOWN! Tonight, five more celebs will battle it out to make the Final Table and have a shot at the massive $100,000 part of that pool in a no holds barred edition of No Limit Texas Hold 'Em!
Another quintet of CPS rookies adorn the table tonight...though one is no stranger to celeb gambling shows. They are:
CELEBRITY | BIO |
Brandi Chastain playing for the Children's Cancer Research Fund |
Brandi is a professional women's soccer player...which means she's pretty much unknown in the U.S. except for the fact that she tore her jersey off after winning the 1999 Women's FIFA World Cup. Will she be the striker of the table or will she be stripped of her chips? |
Camryn Manheim playing for Habitat for Humanity International |
This two-time Celebrity Blackjack alum was once Ellenor Frutt on The Practice and was recently on the Showtime series The L Word. Will she be better at poker than at blackjack or will she be a totally DIFFERENT L-word: LOSER? |
Colin Quinn playing for the Salvation Army |
He started as a co-host on MTV's first game show Remote Control. The comedian parlayed that into a five-year SNL gig and his own half-hour comedy/politics show: Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn. Will he be in control tonight or with THIS tough crowd kick him off like Comedy Central did? |
Tom Verica (also) playing for Habitat for Humanity International |
After many failed TV shows, Tom finally has a hit. He plays Jack Pryor, the father of the main family in NBC's hit series American Dreams. Will he make an American Bandstand play or will his dreams of a lot of money for his charity die? |
Kevin Weisman playing for DMD Fund |
This actor hasn't had a lot of star experience before his role as Agent Marshall Flinkman on ABC's Alias, but THAT helped him produce and star in the movie "Illusion". Will he give off the illusion of being a good poker player or will he be, like his role in the same movie, "Gone in Sixty Seconds"? |
Each celebrity will start with $10,000 worth of chips and the game will continue until one celebrity has all $50K in his/her possession, thus winning the "coveted" silver chip and making him/her eligible for the Final Table later in the year. At the announcers' position beside the Losers' Lounge are host Dave Foley and poker expert Phil Gordon. They'll be calling the action emanating from the main room.
All right, less talk and more bets! As Tournament Director Robert Thompson so frequently likes to say, SHUFFLE UP AND DEAL!
Blinds start at $100 (SB) and $200 (BB). The Dealer Button (D) starts on Kevin, meaning Tom posts the Small Blind, Camryn posts the Big Blind and Colin is first to act.
As far as picks go, Dave goes for Tom while Phil picks Kevin...so don't expect EITHER of them to win.

If an Ace shows up on the Turn or River, this tournament's over! Camryn will have knocked out BOTH men!

The only way Tom can stay around is if a 4 shows up on the River. This will give both Camryn and Tom a "wheel". Camryn will win the Side Pot, but the two will SPLIT the Main Pot.
