It's been a long and winding journey, but
we're finally here tonight; picking up the pieces and walking into new
light. The past is gone, and hopefully it will stay gone. The 18 people
you saw over the last two months have changed inside and out for the
better. They are all winners, but only one can be named The Biggest
Loser and take home $250,000.
As we begin the Live Finale...
Danni Allen: 163
Jeff Nichols: 265
Joe Ostrazewski: 239
Jackson Carter: 230
As a reminder, Joe and Jackson are below
the yellow line, and they're fate is in your hands, America.
First thing's first... the trainers
arrive to talk more about the childhood obesity epidemic. If you're a
parent reading this, take half an hour and go walking around the
neighborhood with your kids. Repeat once daily. There.
Now, the result of the popular vote to
see who joins Danni and Jeff in the finals. First up, let's see how both
of them did in the weight department.
First of all, Jackson... you need a
better stylist. Heh. Since going home, he's really taken the lessons to
heart and his kids are taking the example. As for Joe, ... that ain't
Joe, that's his brother! No seriously, that's Joe.
Now to the result... America chose....
JACKSON! He will compete for $250,000!
So what about our ambassadors for change
in our country? Let's check in on the kids, shall we? Is Lindsey
cheerleading fit? Is Biingo ready to take the field. And what about
Sunny's prom dress?
Let's take these in order. Lindsey spent
two minutes as a flyer (she's lost 47 pounds... and is working that
cheer garb). Biingo gained two inches in height... and lost 43 pounds.
So have his parents. In total, they've lost over 200 pounds. Now Biingo
has a jersey and a hat from the Maryland Cardinals that will fit him! As
for Sunny... She's absolutely killing in that dress of hers. She's lost
51, she's down 4, and she runs 5Ks.
Meanwhile, did we mention that the 11
eliminated players are competing for an at-home prize of $100,000? It's
the person with the highest percentage weight-loss. Here are our first
three:
- Pam Geil: 237 ------> 166 (-71) -
29.96%
- Nate Montgomery (whose mum lost 70 lbs): 359 ------> 260 (-99) -
27.58%
- Alex Reid: 240 ------> 156 (-84) - 35%
Oh yeah, and Nikki the quitter is here.
Remember, kids. Pain is temporary... quitting is forever. Next four...
- Francie Morrillo: 267 ------> 172
(-95) - 35.52%
- TC Pool: 376 ------> 266 (-110) - 29.26%
- Michael Dorsey: 444 ------> 308 (-136) - 30.68%
- Cate Laughlan: 237 ------> 173 (-64) - 27%
Francie has taken the lead going into the
final four...
- Lisa Rambo (husband lost 70):
246 ------> 138 (-108) - 43.90%. She's almost half the woman she once
was!
- David Jones: 307 ------> 205 (-102) - 33.22%
- Gina McDonald: 245 ------> 132 (-113) - 46.12% ALSO half the woman she
used to be!
- Joe Ostrazewski: for $100,000... He needs to lose more than 167 lbs...
364 ------> 217 (-147) - 40.38%
Which means that Gina, who's been the
Biggest Loser ALL throughout the competition, wins $100,000.
Biggest Loser Nation has lost over
100,000 pounds since joining the Challenge. Brandy, 38 from Carthage,
TX, lost 75 pounds. She's running her first half-marathon this Sunday.
Katerina, 19 from Northridge, CA, has lost 50 pounds. Jessica from San
Diego... still has 50 pounds to lose, but she's down 100. Lesson: the
journey never ends.
And now, it's time for the moment of
truth... Will it be the man you voted in who literally bared his guts,
the lady who overcame a round of stage fright, or the guy who had a very
special relationship with a competitor? We'll find out... right now.
WEIGH-IN #12
As a reminder, we're looking for the
total percentage of weight lost over the last six months. Also a
reminder that THIS IS FOR MONEY.
- JACKSON: 328 ------> 190 (-138) -
42.07%
- JEFF (needs to lose more than 163 to take the lead): 388 ------> 207
(-181) - 46.65%
Danni needs to have lost more than 120
pounds in order to win the quarter mill
- DANNI: 258 ------> 137 (-121) - 46.89%
