"Everyone For
Themselves"
- December 7
We are back to a 90 minute show, so we are back to
seeing what the contestants have been doing. Dave has
now been loving the process of working out, adding that
he loves the temptations because they simulate real
life. Well, if you had that attitude while you were on
the show, you'd still be on the show. Nevertheless, Dave
has lost 63 pounds total, which is a great improvement
for him.
Kelly says that it is more gratifying for her that she
can continue this at home. She has also lost 63 pounds,
going from 223 to 160. It's great to see that the people
are still continuing to do well after they were
eliminated.
But now it's time to focus on the people who haven't
been eliminated yet. A solemn blue team comes out with
no Kelly Mac, while the other Kelly and Lisa looks on.
Ryan says that it's weird that their team has to break
the tie, and their morale is very strong. Andrea comes
out and stares daggers at Kelly and Lisa. 'I don't know
what to say. I really don't. I just know how the word 'inte
grity' plays out with the two of you.' OUCH!
As Andrea is moping about her future in the game, the
rest of the group is summoned to see Robert and Jillian.
The red team tells Jillian the actions about the last
episode, as Jillian warns them not to be too
over-confident. On the blue side, Robert is stunned, as
he thinks that Kelly Mac learned the most out of all of
them. Robert was upset that he never said good-bye to
her - since he didn't think that she was leaving. He
tells them that there better be a major weight loss,
since they are ll accountable, adding that he doesn't
want to hear anyone complaining. He jogs with Andrea and
tells her to push it. Gary says that he is going to step
everything up, while Mo...well, we don't see Mo.
We do see a feast of food, as after workouts, the group
sees all sorts of food. On the opposite side of the room
- a table with chocolate cake and other pastries. Kelly
calls everything cruel, but adding that this is a
realistic spread on what they are going to be seeing in
the real world. Ryan agrees, adding that the donuts are
going to be there at work - but the temptations are
tempting anymore. 'Someday, I may have a 6-pack - and
not the one in my cooler.'
After the meal, the group is called down to the gym,
where Carolyn changes the rules of the game. The game
has now changed into an individual game, where every
person plays for themselves. The game also changes in
terms of weight - it's no longer going to be based on
the amount of pounds lost - it's going to be on the
percentage of weight loss. All of that advantage that I
thought Mo was going to have when he could now go on a
weight loss spree? Gone, and if he thought that he could
now go on a super weight loss spree to win immunity -
that's probably not going to happen.
Everyone will be weighing themselves now. There is a
yellow line that separates the two people with the
lowest percentage from the rest of the group. The two
people with the lowest percentage will be the ones that
people will be voting on for eviction. I like that idea,
as they can't target the people who are losing the most
as a threat. So lets see where they all stand -
Ryan - 20.6%
Kelly - 18.6%
Gary - 18.1%
Andrea - 17.2%
------------------ (Yellow Line)
Lisa - 16.9%
Mo - 10.8%
Ryan jokes that Lisa can't vote him out, but Lisa calls
him a jackass. Mo has to lose double of what he's lost
now just to get in the game. Caroline warns Lisa and Mo
that they better start losing weight or they will be
nominated for elimination. After the weigh-in, Lisa is
taking Ryan's comments personally and Ryan reminds them
that they will still be working as a team, and they will
make sure that she doesn't get voted off. Lisa admits
that she is freaking out and Ryan is really scoring
major points by comforting her.
There is another way to not be eliminated - that's to
win the challenges. Both teams are given an option to
switch trainers, but the contestants stay with their
respective trainers. After we see a montage of Robert
helping the blue team and Jillian helping the red team,
all 6 people come out that night and are greeted by a
line of spin cycles. Caroline tells everyone that they
will be riding the bicycles for 4 hours. Whoever logs
the most amount of mileage on the bikes wins. With the
win, they get a shopping spree for a wardrobe, a trip to
see their loved ones, and exemption from being voted out
this time around.
At 8pm, the players start cycling. One hour in, Gary,
who has been pacing himself, is in the lead. Everyone
was close - except for Mo, who looks like he wants to be
anywhere except there. Everyone closes in on Gary, but
he pours it on and it looks like no one is going to
catch him. At midnight, everyone stops, and we see the
final mileage
Mo - 36.8 miles
Kelly - 54.4 miles
Ryan - 62.6 miles
Andrea - 68.0 miles
Lisa - 69.7 miles
Gary - 79.0 miles
Gary wins the shopping spree and immunity. He says that
he is proud of himself for doing it. The next morning,
he gets a pair of stylists who accompany him on his
clothes selection. The stylists happen to be...his kids.
They all share huggy time and cry all over themselves.
Her daughters reaction? I can fit my arms all around
you.' AwwwwBarf.
They go to, appropriately, Gary's Island, as he goes to
see his new waist size. He came in at a 38 - and he's
now a 34. 'Daddy is never buying a large or extra large
again.' - and daddy likes the small shirts.
Daddy and company leave the store - and visit his wife,
who is also stunned. She is stunned, saying 'Oh my God'
- and then screaming it again when she can wrap her arms
around him. They share huggy time and cry again as
Gary's wife is freaking out. 'I think we make a really
hot looking couple now'. Heh. He says that his asthma is
gone, adding that the high blood pressure and high
cholesterol is gone, too. She thinks that the experience
will give him a greater quality of life as she is
stunned. He can only stay so long, though - he is rushed
back to the game as he and his wife once again exchange
hugs. AwwwwBleh.
Back to the game we go, as Ryan is thrilled with seeing
his name at the top of the list. Lisa is still
distraught with seeing her name under the yellow line
and in the bottom two. Kelly says that she needs to be
in the game to catch Ryan. Gary is comfortable - for
now. Andrea knows that she can continue to do better -
though she is concerned about 5th placed Lisa surpassing
her, while Mo sees his position drop from one of
strength to one of weakness.
Caroline brings back everyone to their first individual
weigh-in. Gary can not be eliminated, but everyone else
is vulnerable. Here are the results -
Ryan - 23.3%
Kelly - 19.8%
Gary - 19.4% - EXEMPT
Lisa - 19.1%
-----------YELLOW LINE
Andrea - 18.1%
Mo - 11.5%
Lisa is crying that she is safe, and she feels that she
can join her red team. She can indeed, as two blue
teamers are up on the block - Mo and Andrea. Mo is
concerned - and so is Andrea. Ryan is convinced that Mo
will be around, because he is thinking like I am - Mo is
no threat to get above the yellow line, while Andrea
could easily jump over Lisa or Gary and bring them to
the bottom.
Kelly explains the situation - and adds that if they
don't get rid of Mo, they can be screwed in the long
run. Andrea talks to the women about female bonding, and
although they seem to like it, they have to worry about
their own existence in the game, and that needs to have
Andrea concerned.
Robert decides not to make the mistake with Kelly Mac
and says goodbye to Mo and Andrea - so that he has his
bases covered. It's Robert who cries as he hugs Andrea.
He calls her a great person and she thanks him for
everything that he has done. Robert says that he's not
worried about Andrea at all. They share huggy time and
cry all over the place. AwwwwBarf.
Lisa talks to Andrea, and Lisa has a tough decision to
make. She talks with Andrea and they see the problem -
does she get rid of Andrea because she's a competitor -
or Mo because Andrea motivates her and is more fun to
have. Lisa says that they are leaning towards keeping
her, but not even Andrea believes that, adding that she
wants to finish what she has started.
We'll see who is finished as we get to the eliminations.
Andrea says that she will work her butt off, while Mo
thinks that if it's time, then it's his time. We get to
hear the rules of voting, with Carolyn saying that if
it's a tie, then the person with the lowest weight loss
(Mo) leaves.
It's time for the voting. Gary is terrified that Andrea
would catch him, so he votes for Andrea. Ryan, for the
same reason, also votes for Andrea - as do the women,
who see how dangerous she is. Andrea gets booted out,
4-0, and she takes it gracefully, adding that she is
leaving in a size 8 dress. 'Just check the back as I'm
walking' she says, as everyone else cracks up, laughing.
We get a montage of Andrea, as she calls herself a
winner and vows to complete this. So far, so good, as
she has lost another 8 pounds and is down 51 pounds to
164. She also got a raise. Nice.
Even though he survived this vote, Mo is just in a bad
place right now. If he stays where he is, he's not going
to win the game. If hew makes any serious strides to win
the game, then the remaining people will see that he's a
threat and will vote him off. He needs to win immunity
down the stretch or he's a goner.
Next week - we'll see if they get rid of Mo - or if the
red team can trap Gary under the red line. Who will be
the last of the red team? Or can they both somehow
survive? We'll find out in 7 days. |
