Viva Geeks!
November 6
5 Duos of brains and beauty
remain? Sam and Nicole are running the house but John and Natalie have
vowed revenge. Who will take power now that he game is headed to Mexico?
Natalie and John return to the rest of the beauties and geeks, but they
are sad that they had to send Jesse and Erin home.
Their sadness is quickly interrupted though when Mike comes upstairs and
informs them that everyone will have to pack their bags as the game is
headed to Mexico. Everyone cheers with unadulterated excitement.
That excitement dies though when everyone realizes that William and Jen
still haven’t made up or decided to play nice. Shay tries to get them to
talk out their differences, but William refuses. No time left to
squabble. It’s time to go south of the border.
As everyone is sunning on the beach, Mike Richards comes up and alerts
the beauties that their challenge will be happening later today.
And later is now. The beauties arrive at a Mayan temple site and set
foot on a Mayan ball court.
They will have to memorize a code wheel where Mayan images relate to
numbers. Once they have that memorized, they will have to use that code
to unlock 3 chests scattered across the court. The first team to unlock
all three and get to the altar will win. However, running is not allowed
during this challenge as they are on hallowed grounds. Running will
result in immediate disqualification.
This challenge is nothing but a fight between Sam and Natalie. Sam
maintains a slight lead over Natalie throughout most of the challenge,
but once they both have unlocked all 3 of the chests it is a walking
race back to the altar. Unfortunately a walking race means that Sam’s
longer stride is going to come into play. Sam Wins!
With Sam and Nicole safe from elimination, the geeks will have to fight
extra hard to stay in the house. They finally learn what their challenge
is going to be. Salsa dancing!
But before the dancing comes a Mexican party on the beach. This is
highlighted by a round-off back handspring performed by David! Shocking
but true! Everyone is so shocked that he gets a round of applause.
Better yet, Jasmine gives Dave a kiss on the lips. Dave looks
shell-shocked from this and remembers the last time he got a kiss as
2003.
The next morning, everyone is practicing Salsa dancing, except for
William and Jen who are still fighting. Jen tells William that it is
unfair to judge her as that person who will pick on him like his high
school enemies. William thinks she is full of it and walks away. This
may be beyond repair folks.
At the challenge, the geeks meet their professional salsa partners who
they will have to dance with during the challenge. Nicole laughs at her
partner because he is dressed like a “Mexican spandex peacock.” They get
half an hour to practice and then the salsa smackdown begins.
Everyone dances, but William only puts forth a half effort. When the
results come in eh says there is a clear winner and after we find out
that Joshua was second, the “clear winner” is Dave! Guess the
unbuttoning of the shirt worked.
So now Nicole and Sam & Jasmine and Dave will have to select two teams
to head into elimination in Mexico.
And this time around there will be no quiz. That’s right, the two
winning teams have complete power over which team will go home. Sam,
Nicole, Jasmine and Dave will have 30 minutes to decide.
They quickly decide that Shay and Joshua are safe, and after a deep
argument over getting rid of competition or keeping people who will get
the most from the experience, William and Jen become the second team to
be spared.
With that, John and Natalie have hit the end of the road. Their
departure leaves us with the final 4. A quarter million dollars is a
stone’s throw away. Who will take the prize? Keep watching. |
