Another
Extreme Makeover
October
16
The Sam and Rebecca love
fest is over with frontrunner pair Will and Rebecca being ousted. Now
with the field wide open who will take charge?
William and Jen completed Nicole’s fiendish plan. They knocked out Will
and Rebecca leaving her partner Sam lovelorn. Beware the girl geek!
In the afterglow, William is proud of the fact that Jen studied by
herself and Shay teaches Joshua how to wash his face (really, she did).
This week the beauties will be learning reading writing and arithmetic.
But who cares about that. The geeks are getting makeovers!
The geeks go upstairs to get some last minute advice from their beauties
and they are quickly told no jean short, get a hair cut, get nice shoes,
etc… Yeah, watch TLC for about 5 minutes and you will get the idea.
Jesse goes platinum blond and looks a little like Justin Timberlake.
Erin loves it.
Dave comes in finally wearing jeans and has cleaned up drastically.
Jasmine is screaming for him and he feels good.
William has some red in the hair now and while not as drastic as the
others, he is happy. Jen is a little disappointed.
Joshua comes in with his hair spiked and a suit and tie. Shay is moved
to tears at how cute he is.
Nicole comes in and looks stunning in a green gown. Some of the girls
actually feel like they have some competition in the pretty chase.
Luke enters like a jazzed out Tom Cruise. The button-down shirt works
and everyone praises the new Luke.
John comes in looking like a more masculine Clay Aiken. He looks really
good and Natalie thinks he’s really attractive.
With the makeovers done we learn that the geeks will have to ask a
beauty to prom. But they cannot ask their partner. This means Sam will
be left home and so will on other Beauty.
The horror shows on the beauties faces as they are afraid of not being
asked out, but the geeks are just as scared, many of them having to ask
out a girl for the first time.
After all the asking is done, and John and Nicole become our geek couple
(Shay gets left in the cold), hot tubs are turned off to allow some time
for studying.
The night turns day and beauties arrive in a 3rd grade classroom. We
learn the beauties will have to teach a subject to the kids and Jen
pulls math. She is completely lost teaching fractions and the kids
“creep her out”
Erin is teaching geography and she admits she didn’t open the geography
book. She is totally dumbstruck.
Katie pulls math and says yes to all the kids’ answers. Even if they are
wrong. Ouch
Jasmine teaches some science and teaches they way you’d expect Jasmine
too. So sad.
Sam came in and taught Natural history in a very animated way and the
kids respond. He seems to be the front runner.
Shay wants history, but pulls arithmetic. She is scared but pulls kids
in front of the class and gets them involved in the math turning the
kids into Cherry Pie. Shay rocks, and Shay wins!
Sam is disappointed but squarely places pressure on Nicole.
And now it is time for the Prom!
We learn William never went to his high school prom and he is excited to
get the do-over.
Everyone is dressed to the nines and the limo arrives.
At school we learn the challenge. The geeks will have to campaign to be
prom king or queen.
After much talking, and John realizing that no one thinks he is a geek,
guess what happens. John wins! What this says about superficiality given
that John had the best look post-makeover, who knows. But the win is
recorded and John and Natalie are now safe.
Now who’s going to elimination?
With no shock, Sam and Nicole are headed in and facing off against them
will be Luke and Katie.
And now for a battle of the sexes, geek style.
Beauties first.
To Sam: If Nicole Richie loses 75% of her bodyweight, what fraction is
that? Sam answers3/4 and is right.
Katie now: If I tell 5 people a secret and each of them tells another 5
people, how many people know it? Katie works hard to get to 31 and is
right.
Sam has to spell intelligence and gets it right!
Katie to tie at 2-2. What is the Western most US state? She guesses
California and the correct answer is Alaska.
Sam and Nicole are up 2-1
And the pressure is now on.
Nicole first. What famous mother of 2 made headlines when she shaved her
head at an LA salon in February? Britney Spears gets Nicole their 3rd
point.
What percentage of men experience early balding? 20, 40 or 60 percent?
Luke says 40 and the game continues.
To Nicole for the win. What famous lip-synching sister of a Newlyweds
star might have had a permanent makeover in the form of a nose job?
She stutters to a response but Ashlee Simpson is right and she nails it.
Luke and Katie will be saying goodbye tonight. But they will leave with
many happy memories.
Another couple down. Who is headed out next? Wait and see. |
