I'll Take Ologies For $250,000
November 13

The vacation is over and John and Natalie are now dearly departed. With 4 teams left, the pressure is on. Who will fall short?

The final four is realized and everyone sees the quarter-million dollar jackpot in front of them.

This week the beauties will be studying zoology, entomology, etc and the geeks will study mixology, the art of flare bartending.

Everyone seems remarkably calm after hearing their tasks. Everyone wants to focus and win to ensure their safety.

Sam however, is really annoyed that he is not going to get to take bartending lessons. Sometimes it seems that people forget this show is supposed to be about a transformation.

Let the bartending training begin. The trainer, Tim, gives the geeks practice bottles and as soon as he does they hit the floor. William seems to be doing the best of the crowd as he was a stick juggler, but he still makes his fair share of mistakes.

The beauties start to think about their challenge and become deftly worried that they will be faced with bugs in their next challenge. Jasmine starts to freak out while studying in the backyard at the moment that she is attacked by a “bee” Shay disagrees and says that it was green and couldn’t be a bee. However, when the “bee” flies by again, both Shay and Jasmine run for the house.

In other news, William and Jen are still at odds. William puts Jen down in front of the other geeks, but behind Jen’s back and Nicole calls him out on it. Nicole is afraid that they made the wrong decision sending John and Natalie home instead of Jen and William last week.

Challenge Time!

The beauties arrive at the Bronson Canyon Cave and are greeted by a case of insects and roaches. Jasmine is squirming from a distance. Shay is holding back her tears.

Then they hear the extent of the challenge. They will have to carry the bugs to a holding bin on the other side of the cave, matching them to their correct scientific name. They have 10 minutes and the game is on.

Sam isn’t having any problems, but 2 minutes in, Jasmine still hasn’t picked up a critter. Shat and Jen are making valiant attempt and Sam is filling up all of his containers, but Jasmine is still stymied and crying with 5 minutes now having expired.

When all the tarantulas and scorpions have been moved, Shay and Sam have 7 placed, Jasmine only placed 2 and Jen falls in the middle.

But are they correct?

Jasmine has 0 correct.

Shay has 1 correct

Jen has 1 correct

And Sam has 5 correct

The female beauties need to step up!

Sam and Nicole are guaranteed into the final 3. Who else can earn safety?

Challenge, number 2: Flair Bartending.

Josh is up first and he is making a Pina colada with a genuine attempt. He does fine with the rum, but spills cream everywhere including all over himself. An A for effort, but a mess of a drink. He was very entertaining though.

Nicole is serving up cosmos and seems to be serving things like a mysterious court jester. She starts humming do do do and waves the bottle around her head. Again, an A for effort, but not much else.

Then William serves Fuzzy navel. He drops the vodka bottle, but is attempting some big tricks. Some of them result in bottles flying at the beauties. The game is wide open for Dave to win.

Dave comes in clad in a bowtie acting quite goofy. He’s making sex on the beach. As he says, a day without OJ is a day without sunshine. He then spills cranberry juice on himself. By far the best comedy, but was it enough?

Their teacher Tim is the judge and he calls out William and Dave as the top 2.

He picks the winner, and it’s Dave!

That means Dave and Jasmine are now safe and Jen & William will face Shay and Joshua in elimination.

William is mad that he wasn’t technically more proficient and thinks that if he didn’t make any mistakes he wouldn’t have been beaten by Dave’s personality. Too late to worry about that now.

The Elimination Room

The ladies will go first.

Jen is up: What was the name of the Tennessee teacher convicted of teaching evolution in 1965? She guesses Scopes and is right.

Shay now: Which is a reptile at the L.A. Zoo? From the choices she guesses Shinglebacked skink and ties it up 1-1

Jen for 2: Which animals are known for being horny, cold blooded and covered in scales: reptiles, mammals or birds? She answers reptiles for her second point.

Shay to tie again: What does an invertebrate lack? Backbone makes it even for the geeks.

Now the geeks to the finish.

William first: What is the term for a drink consumed after a shot to get a different taste? Chaser keeps William and Jen on top.

High Low, Beer Blow, Low Blow: which is not a drinking game from the study materials? Joshua’s guess of High low is incorrect and puts the game on the line.

How much fluid is in a pony shot? William takes his time and after a brief thought he answers 1 oz. Game over.

William and Jen have won and Shay and Joshua will be leaving tonight. They both are very pleased with their experience, but are disappointed that it will be cut short. Shay has promised to track Joshua down, and be their relations on the show, you have to believe that it will happen.

The final 3 are now chosen. Who will take on step closer to the title and can Jen and William ever patch their rift? Only a couple of episodes remain to find out.
